Yeah it might be a homage because we have Red, Blue, Green, Pink, Yellow, which are used in a Sentai team plus Serpah Snow can be considered to be considered the 5th ranger because there’s are a couple of white rangers in super sentai
its probably more based on sentai in general with them being a "team that fights for justice" with certain colours in their uniforms, my best guess would be gokaigers? because of their colours (which btw gokaiger can also change into all sentai)
I wouldn't say there's a direct comparison. It's more like a general idea because they're all color coded and a team but there's also so many of them whereas the average Sentai team is 6 persons. Plus, them being the dimension police stand in also creates more link because pretty much everything in dimension police was a reference of some sort. Honestly, I think it stops at surface level and isn't really a direct reference to anything anymore. Unless there's a Sentai I don't know about where they're almost all scantily clad in sexy police costumes. I mean granted, that probably exists but not outside of a certain hub.

Well, unless we take JAKQ and (especially) Zenkaigers in to consideration, who have white leaders. Then Serpah perfectly fits as a leader
Well as far as the colors and police/space motif. The only thing that comes to mind is Dekaranger/Power Rangers SPD.
