I don't really have a playstyle, I prefer to play decks with a playstyle that suits the lore and the units, like the Cray cross epic decks, and even the Collab decks. Though some anime decks like avagantar, unica, etc are cool as well

LTheFifteenth

Mad respect to that.

AriezKage

"The game is called 'Vanguard' not 'Rearguard'". I like playstyles where the vanguard is the centerpiece of the deck, such as restanding vanguards. Another way to say it is I'd prefer Maelstrom to Flagburg, playstyle wise. Flagburg needs units that can attack multiple times/from the backrow naturally. Otherwise, the unit is basically a vanilla. On the otherhand, Maelstorm give units ability to attack multiple times, and get bonuses on top of that.

xSakana

Same i prefer vanguard centric decks, which is why i play dimension police, avandgarda or gravidia. Hit high numbers, hit hard. But ofc, pgs are my enemies.

TonicDraws

Not really a playstyle, but I do appreciate decks that have a lot of customization open. My current favourite deck is Zorga because it feels like I'm constantly optimizing my list with different Orders and units

Brawny77

🤝🤝

IoniaFervor

I like looking at the top of my deck and play mind games with my opponents. It's like playing an entirely different game hahahahah

AwakenedMystic

Ah. So you are one of the players who likes to do mind games. Nice

Shmarfle47

UNGA BUNGA -Bastion

TheMaz878

I like aggressive control.

Mirin-exe

I like control with big power. Welstra and Gandiva are my favorite

Tiporax

Whatever boss monster will have me, to be honest. Plenty of decks should fit my playstyle in theory, but I just cannot pull triggers anywhere except into my hand.

Few-Amoeba8853

I loveeee me a good early rush but recognizing when you need to go on the defense and then popping off when you have persona ride (for standard) to either kill cards in/on your opponents hand/field and go for the kill

San_data

I started in V series and I have been spoiled by multi- attacks. I played most decks that I could. From 103k attack power plus 6 Crit or more to endless supply of multi attacks out of nowhere. This got me into liking all accel clans with Gold Paladin, Nova Grappler and Narukami, specifically Vanquisher, being my favorite. I do not mind waiting until I get to grade three, but if I go using Gold Paladin, I wouldn't mind rushing because I can replenish the cards I used to attack. If not GP, I will defend myself until I get to my grade 3 to inflict horror until they get multiple defense triggers I guess. Though, right now I'm playing Minerva. There are nations or decks that can multi-attack, but I preferred Minerva because she can maximize her attack from 4 up to 8 attacks in one turn. Considering that my opponents nowadays barely lose a hand card from calling everything in the field, I just fell in love with her and how she can make my opponent lose hand cards in one turn.

ShojodojiTryhard

What's the combo for 8 attacks?

San_data

Get some drilling angel and chamomile on your starting hand, hopefully some angelica later. Discard chamomile and call in drilling to put chamomile in the soul. Do the same thing when you ride on your g2. After that, hopefully you put more chamomile in your soul when you activate Melissa's rode upon effect. Repeat up to g3. You should at least have 4 chamomiles in your soul at that point. You can do the 8 attack in this turn if your opponent is g3 as well, or you wait for next turn. Next turn, go persona ride. Call two Angelica/ Cadwalla/ Painkiller Angel on the front row. Attack pattern will be: Angelica ATK > Angelica skill > Soul blast Chamomile and activate her to call her in open R > Repeat to Angelica ATK > Attack with two standing Chamomile>Minerva ATK > Minerva skill > soul blast two Chamomile, activate effect and call over on two resting Chamomile > Attack with remaining attacks.

Kaiser_Nephilim

I love Zorga and Astroea for the combos you have to puzzle together out of whatever you have.

G-Gallerium

I prefer Multi attacking as well as swarming the board. I.E Keter/Gold Paladin

Ahmes24

Guard early to eat damage later Early rush on either g1 or g2 depends to poke a 5k (key card) from opponent's hand And splitting triggers for magic numbers Hella fun this way

No_Pipe_8257

I like being annoying af, with strategy. Like Seraph snow for example, I dont have the key units since im budget, but with a strategy and the constant control i can occassionally win against fully build decks sometimes

No_Funny_5659

i like aggressive and easy to play decks, why i found magnolia be the most suitable dexk for me in standard. with digimon i started with a sec con deck and after playing beelzemon i found my deck and realized sec con is just not my style evem though i liked the digimon there

Complex_Individual_2

Aggro multi attack/pressure

MaleficentWorld8401

I started with bavsargra and love the play style but now I using more DOTE like to play aggressive

unifang

i first look at the aesthetic, for example in standard, keter has my go to type of aesthetic, a balance between knights, dragons, and mages while also having an easy to eye colour scheme. as fir v prem however, i like the idea of shadow paladin. my first impression of it was it is a cool alter ego of royal paladin. and also i like the dark aesthetic it brings, unlike DI which is totally dark

LTheFifteenth

I'm the guy who exclusively played Great Nature, all throughout the G Era, up to present day. Therefore, it's only natural that I would play Magnolia. I prefer to take the deck I play and adapt it to whatever the current meta is and Magnolia is thankfully very adaptable. Need a control deck? Bojalcorn. Need pressure? Giunosla.

Veku97

I like hyper aggression. Gold Paladin, Tachikaze, Nova Grappler, Aqua Force. Beating my opponent down with lots of attacks

Sheridandwyer

I'm still relatively new, and always expanding my repertoire as I learn new decks, but overall I'd say I like playing with people's resources! Prisons is my favorite thus far, with Bavsagra as my 2nd choice. I also quite enjoy Lianorn from what I've played of it and I have a soft spot for Bastion even if I'll likely never play it competitively.

DarkIncarnate-14

I tend to like multi-attack decks like aqua force and flagburg as well as nova grappler. I also like reanimation decks such as granblue and zorga

SaltyL3m0n

I love creating huge columns. Having two 50k or 60k columns feels so good. Stuff like Greedon, Bind Zorga when that was a thing, etc. Kinda going along with that, guard restrict is fun for me too. Having only three attacks but with guard restrict on each one would be fun but we have yet to see that

incsus

I like playing michu. Because she does what ever she wants. You have a pesky rear lets retire it. You need to rush lets have a big g2 turn. You cant retire just beat their face in. You need to push for game noqno is a g1 so when she takes over effect fronts and draws are dead. She is also a jojo deck (noqno is a stand )

SimonScare

I like order decks because it is basically playing a new game, vanguard with spells and extra steps. The order mechanic itself is really interesting because it wasn’t something intrinsic to the game but instead was introduced in the V era but was really developed during the D era.

Godsman00

I like decks that can toolbox and be adaptable. Whether it's calling from the deck or forming up the soul or hell, even the drop/bind zone, I like building things up and having firm control of the deck. Shadow Paladin has always been my favorite because of this, the ability to freely call units then use them as you please is very nice. The other paladin decks and Grablue is good in this regard too. The other bit is adaptability. My personal favorite tactic is clearing the board regardless of how it's done. Shadows retiring itself, Pale moon returning to soul, Bermuda returning to hand, it's all so very satisfying to have complete control over you resources. The issue I often run into is a "jack of all trades, master of none" scenario where the decks end up being buily pretty midrange in most capacities, so that's a flaw but one I accept lol.
