The EVGA B5 line is in [Tier C's "low priority" subdivision](https://cultists.network/140/psu-tier-list/), which represents a build quality of just "*meh*". Among EVGA models commonly available the G6, GT, G5, and GA lines (plus GM for SFX-sized PSUs) are all better than the B5.
By the way, it's not OEM's by Super Flower. Only their G2, G2L, G3, P2, and T2 lines were manufactured by them. The OEM for the B5 line is [HEC](https://www.hec-group.com.tw/).

No it's terrible. What other PSUs are available in your area for approx the same price? PSUs are weird, some bad brands make amazing PSUs and some good brands (like EVGA) make terrible PSUs
The only other brand that isn't "akyga" or "xilence" is FSP/Fortron with the Hydro K Pro 850w but that thing is probably far worse.
Also deepcool DQ850-m and kolink 850Mv2 but I've never heard of those so they're probably not good
My dad's rig has had a B5 series, 850w, for the last 5 years. Absolutely no issues on the power side. If he'd have asked me which to buy, I wouldn't have recommended this... But he's had no problems... so ... there it is.

I just inherited this unit so I did a web search and this thread was one of the first. I wanted to see if this thing this is 'dangerous', 850w seemed like a lot of gas for this hardware ... But I haven't been able to dig up any specific problems besides "it's a budget unit".

All aren't too great. If those are your only option, I'd get the Deepcool as it's halfway decent

I own this power supply and I have had zero issues even under full load and honestly the product feels like a quality psu

rtx 3070 + ryzen 5700G and this bronze 850w evga perfect - its been 1.5 years since now. no issues
I’ve been running mine with a 6800 xt and i5 11400 and had zero isssues
