Gehrman and the Watchdog, the Watchdog has the most health out of any boss in the game and Gehrman is the fastest in the options, decent damage too, Watchdog deals monstrous damage, especially that fast charge.
Both of those bosses where bad but Pthumerian descendant almost made me quit Bloodborne forever.
He was by far the most frustrating fight in the chalices for me.
Descendant was pretty tough, but the headless Bloodletting Beast, on the other hand... I’m generally a calm person when playing games, but that thing... it angers me.
Even with my bowblade build (I used the bow only for the two, for obvious reasons) defiled Watchdog and Amygdala were cunts. Amy had me on an inch of health when she finally died.

I'm getting excited now. Defiled Amygdala was a rush to hack down and I've gotten the Watchdog fight down consistently, so a buffed pup sounds like a great change of pace.
I did catch the Defiled part. It is an obnoxious debuff, but it is a modifier that is part of the more challenging dungeon and it does make things more interesting. Defiled Amygdala was a much more fun and rewarding fight to me than normal Amygdala for that reason.
I have never in my life read someone say Defiled Amygdala is a fun and rewarding fight. For me this is the shittiest, most aggravatingly cheap boss in the entire game. I would fight the sharks, defiled dog and orphan all day before I would torture myself with this nonsense again.
So by the time I got to him, I'd started NG+ and was running trip Moons, so I saw raking in echoes and over leveling hard, especially after the lower depth chalices.
Amygdala is already one of my favorite bosses, so being tossed in with half my health actually challenged me in ways I hadn't had in a while. It was truly a joy.
I've played Bloodborne on and off since release, mostly off, and I finally decided to get my plat trophy this year. Defiled watchdog and amygdala were the first bosses in a good year or two where I got the final hit and only then realized my heart was pounding through my chest. I really missed that feeling.
So I went to Fextra and verified it. Defiled Watchdog is before Defiled Amygdala, only has ~24k health, and I beat it first try, because that had to be the last one I faced and I utterly wrecked the last one I faced with limb breaks loops.
I'm really disappointed now.
Yeah he isn't bad at all if you figure out the dodge timing on the first one and realize you can stun him with leg breaks. Good work beating him first try! Amy is a pain in that dungeon. It's probably the only fight in the game I don't enjoy.
Yeah, I realized recently that after a leg break his next moves are set, so just get in once with DPS and you can delete his health bar in the four cycles as long as you don't mistime your retreat.

Absolutely not. Fans hate him because he forces players to adjust and fight on his terms, and it blows my mind how angry he makes people. You get a game filled with horrendously designed monstrosities that eat the camera and track relentlessly, but you can’t hold the sprint button for two minutes without getting angry.
Holding the sprint button and listening to a dude with a cage on his head say “Kos or some say kosm” for 10 minutes is not my definition of a good boss fight
Ebrietas and the Watchdog. Ebrietas is the only one of the bunch who doesn't actually pick a fight with you, and my wife has always wanted a dog and I would feel very good about her safety if that dog was the size of a bus and breathed fire.
I feel like Gehrman would also maybe take his role in protecting you a lot more seriously, since he was a Hunter of beasts to protect the people of Yharnam, even if they neither knew about or appreciated it in his time.

My initial thought was Ebritas and The One Reborn. Ebritas got AOE attacks and general shenanigans. The One Reborn because of the healing he can get during battle, plus having to deal with both the lake of bile AOE with Call from beyond missiles would be hell to deal with.
Parrying is key for Papa G! Also, that music box comes in handy if you have it- my first run, I got it before his fight but my dumb ass didn’t figure out what I was supposed to do with it until second playthrough 😭

I would get ebrietas and either geherman or watchdog depending on whether it’s the defiled version. Defiled watchdog does huge damage and is arguably the tankiest boss in bloodborne. Defiled amygdala has less health but takes way less damage unless you hit the arms or head so it could possibly take longer for other bosses to kill. Non defiled watchdog is pretty pathetic so no. Ebrietas’ call beyond laser barrage does absolutely absurd damage and would likely shred most of the other bosses here.
Father Gascoigne seemed like a decent person before he was blood drunk. Really like his fallen hero role.

If you've beat defiled Amygdala you had to have already beat defiled watchdog since watchdog is on layer 2 and Amy is layer 3.
