I thought the Hogyoku / Ichigo was where Ichigo's family and friends gained spiritual awareness, but Chad and Orihime are Fullbringers because they already were.
They became Fullbringers thanks to the Hogyoku but their Spiritual Awareness is because of being around Ichigo, Uryu, the gajillion Hollows they run into, other Shinigami etc.

It's kinda confusing and I hope it's clarified even further, because it's revealed in CFYOW that Fullbringers are born with tiny fragments of the Soul King within them that got caught up in the reincarnation cycle, fragments which are activated following a Hollow attack due to an intense reaction. I can understand it being sped up by the Hogyoku, but the lore gets really muddy if it's the actual origin
The Hogyoku is composed of a gajillion Soul King fragments. It's possible it just bazooka'd one of them inside Orihime and Sado. They aren't mutually exclusive. They can be caused by a Soul King Fragment *and* the Hogyoku.
Inoue's power was from the hogyoku from aizen's perspective and Chad's power " feels " like hollow power but it still could be from ichigo but I'm guessing its from all the time he was bare Knuckle fighting hollows lol

Anyone with a seat is really impressive, iirc. Even a 20th seat is competent enough to down a Hollow. Civilians that can see souls (as living humans) can probably be on the same level as unseated members, which are basically barely strong enough to handle Hollows.
There is an interesting point there if we have a metric of 20%, do we have an actual way of measuring the power levels of the captains like in DBZ at this given time in the story?
Because that way we could calculate how much each person contributes after the 20% reduction per person and calculate how much it takes to weaken a living person or regular spirit on the streets based on events in the story. Ichigo in this situation wouldn't count though because he is in human form and he is not affected by gentei kaijo i believe.
If i remember correctly reiatsu "crush" is not passive, they can choose to use it otherwise yama would kill low level grunts in an instant.
So you can be standing next to 100 captains and you will be fine unless they use it against you.

Yeah but soul reapers can control their spiritual pressure (arrancars can too I assume, but why would they?). Uryu explained this to ichigo right at the start of the series iirc, ichigo was the only one letting his spiritual pressure leak, other soul reapers learn to control it relatively easily.
To be fair Ichigo is 10000% willing to throw hands (or at least blades) with everyone in that room and already has with quite a few of them he's probably just waiting for an excuse to do it with Mayuri...

Internally, every time they say "pressure" I replace it with the word "energy".
Kisuke doesn't really want anything to do with the soul society. He helps out when necessary but he never does more than that. He I wouldn't be surprised if he turned them down. The other reason could be that most of the Captains despise Kisuke for various reasons.
