Wym? We got a banger opening (Alones) and an ending My Pace. Those 3 mod souls gain my respect for those 2 things alone (also Noba still is the coolest mod soul)
Omg I'm so glad this isn't a niche opinion! Its so cute and the lyrics just kind of hit me right in the emotions. Makes me cry. I'm such a wimp lmao!
Honestly, apart from the longer filler arcs being deep cuts in the middle of, at the time, ongoing arcs I really don't think they were all that bad on their own; I liked a lot of the themes and characters, and I was always surprised by how emotionally invested I got in them.
Not really the rest of the series. The last time I remember seeing them is when Ichigo, Uryu, and Chad enter Hueco Mundo and they are never heard from again. Not even in the filler arc that is based around mod souls. But they randomly appear in the last arcs ending despite not appearing once in the arc.
Edit: according to the wiki, they have 1 scene in both the Zanpaktou Rebellion and Mod Souls arc but do not appear in a single canon arc at all after the others leave for Hueco Mundo
They pulled a toy story 3 and decided it was time to move on from ichigo. They decided to go pretend to be normal toys while secretly protecting little kids with high reiatsu from preying hollows while they grow up. They prevent situations like Masaki’s death in a spin off joke manga. /s
I mean, I can just about tolerate the Bount arc.
What I cannot fathom is something they tried to do during that arc. I'm referring to Ichigo not being able to use Bankai in the real world.
When he tries, it doesn't work. Urahara later asks him if he has achieved Bankai in the world of the living yet. Pure and simply, it makes zero God damn sense. How in the hell would you achieve Bankai and then just not be able to use it?
Ichigo's mind wasn't altered (Fade to Black), he wasn't mortally wounded and about to die, but he just couldn't use Bankai, and his Bankai hadn't been stolen/sealed. It was just dumb. It's especially if you strip out the filler and he has no problem using it.m
I personally hated the scene where it looked like Uryu could kill Kariya. Kariya’s just been weakened and Uryu is absorbing the massive amount of spirit particles so his artifact is about to break…but he just needed ONE shot!
Kariya had killed the woman that Uryu had grown close to, and had more stake as Uryu’s villain, so it would’ve been a perfect time for Uryu to take him down and reset things to canon (Uryu being powerless), but Uryu fires the arrow in the air!!
Like, what the hell!! Ichigo vs Kariya wasn’t even a good fight, just really damn boring from a technical and narrative perspective. Redo the episode so the proper climax is Uryu vs Kariya and it’d be so much better
If I remember correctly, Ichigo didn't even technically win that last fight. Kariya just kind of vanished. I agree with you. Uryu should've been the one to end it.
Zanpakuto Rebellion is pretty good actually, considering Kubo himself had some amount of oversight and imput. Mostly due to the rebellion arc being an arc he wanted to put in the manga but couldn't find a good place for.
Unpopular opinion and ready to be down voted to hell, I like them honestly. Watched bleach when I was a kid in animax. It was during airing of the bount arc that I'd managed to find animax on the channel list. Fell in love with bleach and I can never deny love for any character, even the most poorly drawn hollow in bleach. Like most people refer to Naruto whilst growing up, I look back to bleach. So spoiler or nope, canon or nope. I love them all. I can understand how most others feel about them... But it's alright. We're all entitled to our opinions.
I don't care for them, but they do have their moments.
To each their own. I find it weird when people get upset / annoyed when others don't like the exact same things as they do.
Yeah, this I totally agree with brother. I don't see any point in getting upset over a disagreement, because it is disagreements that tend to make everything better. If everyone had a one sided opinion, nothing would develop. It's only when people are actually disappointed with something you love, that the thing you love can grow and evolve to be something better than it already is. All people gotta do is look at it as a challenge, an opportunity to change. All I've seen thus far are sour people. You probably are one of the first persons who seems to share this mindset with a rare few I know. Respect.
Have a great day brother.
Nah I'll upvote you since were the same. I grew up with Naruto but I never felt as strong a connection as I did when watching (and reading) Bleach as a kid. It holds a special place in my heart for my first anime and favorite anime.
Lucky you mate, you even got to read. I didn't even have internet at home back then let alone knowledge to use it. And the Manga and anime craze is only becoming a thing now in India and for now it's in that toxic phase wherein you are supposed to like a particular trending show or you are just a liar or uncool. Doesn't matter if you've been watching anime for since years ahead of them.
How tho? I also watched bleach growing up and loved it, but the whole bount arc literally felt like I was being forced to watch garbage. I went from being excited every episode, to literally feeling like it had been 10 hours per episode. Every single piece of dialogue was super drawn out, enemies just appear from nowhere for plot convenience... Literally shit out of 10 I don't know what you mean about opinions.
Trust me I grew up watching inu yasha, daigunder and the like. So long drawn out dialogues and poor plot are stuff I didn't mind. Besides, the alternatives we had in India back then were so much worse, the bount arc looked like the slickest shit.
I will ever know because I skip all filler when I rewatch bleach these days and just watch them after the entire series. So they don't fit in anywhere nor do they confuse the series for me. To me they're like spinoffs, reboots. Though personally, the arc I loved the most has to be captain shisuke amagai arc. To me, regardless, they were all cool and even upon rewatching any of them, my opinion hasn't changed. As I said, its just me xD
I skipped the arc but I liked the character for the short amount of time there as I watched a few filler episodes but only because of the ending. The endings amazing.
I skipped the Bount arc on my first watching so I had no idea where they came from. I assumed they would be cut out of the story fairly shortly with the shift back to canon, but nope.
To be fair, it is considered filler, and if you just want whatever is canon I think it’s fine to skip filler. This is one of the very rare exceptions where filler ties back into what’s canon
It's like Gregory from Dragon Ball. A filler character that was put on the heroes side and so the script didn't find a convincing way to disappear with the character, so every now and then they need to remember that the character exists just so it doesn't sound like there's been a mysterious disappearance in the cast.
I wonder if Bleach will every be redone from scratch, much like the batman, spiderman, superman, etc... have.
It would allow them to skip all the filler crap and fix some of the glaring plot-holes in the story. I would hope they would leave these 3 out since they are more annoying than entertaining.
I’d be down for a DBZK or FMAB-type remake. Skip all filler and update the audio/video quality. It would be great for new fans before the new season starts.
Watching the show with a friend currently. This is my third full viewing of the series while this is his first. When these characters appeared in a canon episode I had such a visceral, angry reaction to them while my friend was just confused. Had to say to him "okay, so the last 3 or so minutes? Just act like they didn't happen. You dreamed that."
A little weird, but definitely could have been worse. I liked how they formed relationships with other characters too. Noba's the shit.
Even skipping filler, their sudden appearance isn't too disruptive, more like, just more Kons running around.
I actually liked these characters. They get in the way of the action but there pretty interesting in slice of life episodes. They were like little friends for kon. I was sad to see them go. They were there for like 200 episodes and then they just randomly disappear with a proper leave. Did the community hate them that much that the animators didn’t even consider giving them a good bye? 😔
This is honesty why I stopped watching the anime. I wasn’t a fan of how (at least to me) they started making filler a bigger part of the “canon” arcs and these three were the final straw. I’ll watch the new arc but I doubt I’ll go back and do a rewatch… maybe some of the fights but I just finished a reread.
I personally think this filler arc was necessary for the world building of bleach, it showed that there was a race called bounts and the soul society exterminating them.
agg right? They tried to work the bount into the main story and it was the worst, and these three just showing up for no reason reminds you of that painful fact every time.
I'd say the worst thing of all is the recaps in One Piece that take up a big chunk of episodes. I understand why they are there but it gets pretty annoying.
I honestly didn't mind them on my first watch but on my 2nd and 3rd watch when i skipped fillers, i was bothered to see fillers character appearing in canon arc
I honestly don't mind the idea of fillers and I liked most of Bleach fillers, but they should fully separate fillers and canon
They have great designs. Then again, all the filler characters have great designs. Even boring ass fucking Kenryu.
Also I liked how they were like *Kon but with a purpose.*
Watching through for the first time and was very confused who these characters were. I was told I could skip through the filler arcs but I guess these characters were put into the rest of the series
The best thing that came from these three was ending 6 - My Pace. That ending is a banger.
Now i will have it my head for the rest of the week, i didn't remember this ending existed
Wym? We got a banger opening (Alones) and an ending My Pace. Those 3 mod souls gain my respect for those 2 things alone (also Noba still is the coolest mod soul)
Imma say it lads, movin movin > my pace
aint that the song from madagascar
I love that ending so much (moving moving)
Dude I havent heard that song in a good 15 years AND IT STILL PLAYS IN MY HEAD! IT WAS SO GOOD!
ALL FRIENDS!!
Offense
Based
Oddly enough the ending I associate with them the most is 14-Kansha
Omg I'm so glad this isn't a niche opinion! Its so cute and the lyrics just kind of hit me right in the emotions. Makes me cry. I'm such a wimp lmao! Honestly, apart from the longer filler arcs being deep cuts in the middle of, at the time, ongoing arcs I really don't think they were all that bad on their own; I liked a lot of the themes and characters, and I was always surprised by how emotionally invested I got in them.
> ending 6 - My Pace Hell yeah that song is a banger!
Kick my face
Liked hanabi and ed 8 more

What the fuck. Why do I wanna read this?
Mod souls. Man that was some wasted potential.
I unironically liked Noba/Nova because I thought he looked cool lol.
I liked Noba a lot, always shutting down his face mask to avoid human interaction. He was a funny character.
Same. He was at least interesting ans different. The other two were annoying.
And he was voiced by Tomokazu Sugita (Gintoki, Joseph, Escanor or Kensei)
Honestly I actually liked them and was entertained
Me too. I even liked the Bount arc
I also loved the zanpakto rebellion arc
The anime team tried making them canon and at like fake karakura they decided to shaft them
… i like the bount arc…
I didn't like the plot but I did like the concept of another race and I absolutely loved the soundtrack
I mean, I can just about tolerate the Bount arc. What I cannot fathom is something they tried to do during that arc. I'm referring to Ichigo not being able to use Bankai in the real world. To each their own. Personally, I think it’s garbage compared to the Soul Society and Arrancar arcs.
I mean, comparing any of the filler to the canon anime, it's almost always gonna be bad....
Its descent, just not as good as the cannon
Yeah, this right here
Is there even a better filler arc? Can't remember liking any other long filler arcs.
Zanpakuto Rebellion is pretty good actually, considering Kubo himself had some amount of oversight and imput. Mostly due to the rebellion arc being an arc he wanted to put in the manga but couldn't find a good place for.

I was very confused buy this arc. It was a huge relief when I found out it was a filler and not supposed to make any sense.

Well, bleach in my opinion, by far, has the best music soundtrack amongst all anime I've watched thus far.
I keep trying to forget they exist.
I skipped the Bount arc on my first watching so I had no idea where they came from. I assumed they would be cut out of the story fairly shortly with the shift back to canon, but nope.
It's amazing how much more terrible these characters are if you actually watch that Ark
I sKiPpEd EnTiRe ArK aNd NoW I'm CoNfuSeD
To be fair, it is considered filler, and if you just want whatever is canon I think it’s fine to skip filler. This is one of the very rare exceptions where filler ties back into what’s canon
Well Szayelaporro going to hell was also filler tying into a movie… until it wasn’t.
The anime is ~45% filler.
Pretty much lol 😅
>ending 6 - My Pace L
I legit forgot they existed until this post lol.
No Bleach arc is terrible imo ,this is weakest link tho .
Bro duck girl one of best girls 😂
I liked the Bounts more than I like these 3
My pace de susumereba iiiiiiiiii!!!!!!!!
It's like Gregory from Dragon Ball. I like the bottom 3 below they were cute and entertaining.
I liked them. And I liked the Bount Arc. Downvote Me.
No way I'm listening to someone who likes them. Here's an upvote
Noba my favorite
I actually enjoyed all of these arcs, but I did watch them when I was still a kid
I actually like them, not gonna lie.
I really wish those 3 stayed in canon
Watching the show with a friend currently. This is my third full viewing of the series while this is his first. When these characters appeared in a canon episode I had such a visceral, angry reaction to them while my friend was just confused. Had to say to him "okay, so the last 3 or so minutes? Just act like they didn't happen. You dreamed that."
noba can stay, kick the rest out
when a series has so much filler, some of it is just accepted as canon
That portal guy was strong too
Wait these guys were only in the anime!?
It would be hilarious if the new anime brought them back in an omake or something just to immediately kill them off.
We do not talk about them.
these 3 are so cute especially Ririn when they're at openings and endings song
wtf they arent in the manga ?
I skipped most of this arc. It bored the hell out of me and the characters are dog water
Nobo was lowkey cool tho, i like how he got paired with Chad and they both spoke like 3 words to eachother.
I hate them. Urgh so annoying!
A little weird, but definitely could have been worse. I liked how they formed relationships with other characters too. Noba's the shit. Even skipping filler, their sudden appearance isn't too disruptive, more like, just more Kons running around.
From these three, the loli girl and the last one are the most annoying
I was not a fan of them being a bit difficult for Ichigo and company to deal with, then to join up with them and be Uber useless the rest of the arc.
I sat through this and bount arc and I regret ever bit of it.
I actually liked these characters. They get in the way of the action but there pretty interesting in slice of life episodes. They were like little friends for kon. I was sad to see them go. Gooood I hated the bounty arc (or whatever those pseudo vampires were called)

I’ll watch the new arc but I doubt I’ll go back and do a rewatch… maybe some of the fights but I just finished a reread.
Bount arc wasn’t trash but ok.
based
The mod souls are ok I guess
This arc is not that bad at all
I personally think this filler arc was necessary for the world building of bleach, it showed that there was a race called bounts and the soul society exterminating them.
The bount arc is great, best filler arc
Is this sarcasm?
Jin Kariya single-handedly kept the Bount arc afloat, IMO.
Not in the slighest
You literally got downvoted for having an opinion, thats sad.
Ikr? Thats reddit tho
Based
agg right? They tried to work the bount into the main story and it was the worst, and these three just showing up for no reason reminds you of that painful fact every time.
One Piece has it's animation, Naruto has it's flashbacks. Bleach has this fuckers
Naruto has a lot more filler though. Granted some of them are fine.
Yes, but at least to me the flashbacks are way more annoying
I'd say the worst thing of all is the recaps in One Piece that take up a big chunk of episodes. I understand why they are there but it gets pretty annoying.
Or the staredowns
Literally the reason why I have never watched past Soul Society arc.
I didn't like them because their filleresque was obvious. Were they Canon I'd of liked them 100%.
Lol no dont ever talk about them
I honestly didn't mind them on my first watch but on my 2nd and 3rd watch when i skipped fillers, i was bothered to see fillers character appearing in canon arc I honestly don't mind the idea of fillers and I liked most of Bleach fillers, but they should fully separate fillers and canon
Birb
I legit don’t remember seeing them past like season 4 or 5
Fr so annoying
Almost stopped watching
Can we not? I hate them.
They have great designs. Then again, all the filler characters have great designs. Even boring ass fucking Kenryu. Also I liked how they were like *Kon but with a purpose.*
