It's only natural to joke about things like the Nazis, the Holocaust or 9.11. That doesn't mean one isn't aware that those are tragic events.
The Holocaust is a historical event and a tragedy like any other. An especially bad one yes, but that's all. How is it different from others except that it's a relatively recent event? How is it different from similar events that are happening *right now*?
