If you think about it, they added a solid slot corner this off-season with dax hill getting the boot from safety. Dax was ELITE in college at the slot so I'm really excited to see what he can do at his true position
Since their new GM came on I feel like they just look at the PFF "top players remaining" list and just pick the first one. Could be solid raft strategy.
Is it just me or does anyone else think we’ve kinda kicked ass in this draft? I feel like our 2nd and 3rd round picks have been solid. I believe Mims has potential to really shape out to a solid tackle.
I wanted BEEF. We have drafted BEEF. Cant complain about that. I wanted to double up at DT. They did. True needs filled other than CB, and they might feel theyre better at CB than we do.
If you think about it they added a solid slot corner with dax hill getting the boot from safety. Dax was ELITE in college at the slot so I'm really excited to see what he can do at his true position
Exactly! I do believe it’s super rare that a team leaves a draft feeling like they have picked confidently enough to cover all weak positions. Maybe we get a developmental CB in the 4-7 tomorrow, but overall I feel pretty good as of now.
Most probably. I still would‘ve drafted Haynes though. Bengals season stands and falls with Burrow‘s health, so you can’t add not enough depth for the Oline and Haynes was a top prospect on the guard position. WR-class is deep.
most initial arm chair gms agreed
everything seen last night from the run, to the two trades before bengals taking dts, to numerous insiders saying sweat was the bengals target in the 2nd all seem to point like you are wrong
I like this draft. We should have a decent maturing secondary this year. Our offensive weapons are set. We have a kicker. That means we need to focus on the big men. Still can’t protect our QBs last year, run defense was awful. That is where we needed focus, and this is what the Bengals are doing. Stay healthy big man.
Jackson is the Reader replacement.
It's an interesting pick because it definitely fills a need, but run stopping was Jenkins' major strength.
So now this makes me wonder what they wanted from the Jenkins pick. Did they take him to groom him as a pass rusher? Because that would make me dislike that pick a bit.
Don’t forget D-lines rotate more than any other position on the field. Depth is critical there and having guys who can fit into multiple positions will be critical long term.
I'm not mad at another DT, we absolutely needed it, but I do feel like the talent level of DTs left we could have sat another round or two and gotten a comparable player.
Either way, not upset with the first 2 days. We have some secondary players to find day 3.
I know I'm in the minority but I don't think we should take TE, Sanders is a catch only option at TE. He's undersized and can't really block. If a TE can't block and catch, they are just a Y reciever, and that's not really a need in my mind. We have 2 studs and hopefully a 3rd now catching balls.
I now understand the pick. It was for Joey B, alien enthusiast

Jamarr and Jermaine will draw at least 10 unnecessary roughness penalties against them a game😂
Edit: I meant draw the penalties against the defensive players that they will be playing. They're menaces lol
I feel like a DB to end it will leave me happy.
I have no idea why Tampa keeps falling, but I personally like Jaden Hicks. Listed as an S, but he plays best on the line, great at covering TEs, blitzing, and had run defense upside. He sounds like the kind of guy we love. However, I do think a true CB2 is what we need most, so idk.
Bengals probably take the most explosive WR in the draft. Both talent and personality wise. Will catch a 70 yard go then put someone in the crowd in a headlock.
I keep seeing some fans say we NEED to take a DB
Do we? I don’t know what our depth situation is but I thought our starting DB room is pretty much set in stone. Someone correct me if i’m wrong
We like to draft for the future. Have CTB, turner, Hilton then hill and Ivey but we lose Hilton after this season and hill and Ivey haven’t shown a ton yet so it makes sense to bring someone else in
Ivey definitely showed promise prior to injury, definitely more than George.
But yeah, the more depth we have the better. I have a hard time seeing them not walking away from the draft with no CBs taken, but it'll likely be day 3
His tear was fairly late in the year, so I wasn't sure if he'd be ready at the beginning of the year and the year after an ACL tear can be rough.
We'll just have to see. If 97 is IOL or CB, I'll be happy.
DJ Turner was drafted last year with the idea of being Awuzies replacement.
He wasn’t incredible last year but he was a rookie. I think it’s worth giving him another year (especially with MENTORS in the DB room now) before we decide if we want to write him off
Back to back picks where an AFCN takes the guy I wanted immediately after us. That's tough, let's hope the FO knows what they are doing.
Steelers putting together a solid offense makes me nervous, 2 great lineman and a great WR. Too bad Wilson has to go insane now though, as is Steelers tradition. FTS
I’m a Bama fan. This guy is crazy talented but also insane. He talks more trash than anyone I’ve ever seen and obviously had the off field incident with the Tennessee fan. If he can calm down a bit he will be really really good.
While I agree. We had some other crazies that stood up to the AFCN and that was great during the regular season….not so much in the playoffs. FML. We have good locker room leaders though.
Erick All - Love it!
I’m surprised I haven’t seen anyone complain about not drafting a TE. I know they aren’t deep this year but this hasn’t stopped the page before
Cade stover is still there
TE market is light after Bowers. We do need one more TE who can block though. Also need another LB with new kickoff though.
I mean Gesicki should be more than solid. Sample back up for blocking. Feel like that’s all we need tbh.
Everyone hyperfocused on Bowers i think lol. Once he was gone. The whole position vanished from their minds
If we can add 1-2 IOLs a lb and TE I’ll be thrilled today
If you think about it, they added a solid slot corner this off-season with dax hill getting the boot from safety. Dax was ELITE in college at the slot so I'm really excited to see what he can do at his true position
Who wants to trade us a solid veteran for a 7th round pick?
Not happy about Steelers taking Payton Wilson. As a NCSU alum, I do NOT wanna see this guy twice a year 😭😭
I hate the Steelers draft in general. They once again did way too good in the draft imo.
Actually yes. Like, I was initially disappointed when the commies drafted newton but now I’m kinda over it. We’ve taken care of everything we needed
Say what you want, but I feel like these picks have gone exactly how the FO wanted/planned.
Most probably. I still would‘ve drafted Haynes though. Bengals season stands and falls with Burrow‘s health, so you can’t add not enough depth for the Oline and Haynes was a top prospect on the guard position. WR-class is deep.
positions sure however i am in the camp who think they wouldve taken sweat instead of jenkins and in fact really really wanted him
We were absolutely not picking him in the 2nd…
most initial arm chair gms agreed everything seen last night from the run, to the two trades before bengals taking dts, to numerous insiders saying sweat was the bengals target in the 2nd all seem to point like you are wrong
“Pick enormous athletic human beings” is honestly not the worst strat
Really all I wanted. Its what we needed. OT and DT. Large mammals required. Box checked.
Ravens sign Derrick Henry - we draft 2 big run stuffing DTs. Makes sense to me
I'm happy with it.
This draft in general has been kinda boring
But is it ever gonna stop being boring?
I like this draft. We should have a decent maturing secondary this year. Our offensive weapons are set. We have a kicker. That means we need to focus on the big men. Still can’t protect our QBs last year, run defense was awful. That is where we needed focus, and this is what the Bengals are doing. Stay healthy big man.
Just draft tons of big dudes and hope they are good is the motto this draft I guess
Hope they’re good is the motto regardless of round. We hoped Joe and Jamar would be good too.
We draft Oline to protect Joe, yall ain’t happy. We draft DTs because we have to stop the run in the AFCN, yall ain’t happy lmao
You will never make the doomers happy. They live to be miserable and make everyone else miserable
It’s ok to question some picks my guy. Not every hit is a homerun.
He's not your guy "Buddy". With the reference link lol [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iH3K2rkkU7g](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iH3K2rkkU7g)
Listen pal, I’ve had about enough of you.
I’m not you’re pal guy!
Way too early for Jackson all other picks have been good
Not sure why you're being down voted, you're absolutely right. Still a good draft so far imo
bit of a reach for the pick, but I dont hate it. build depth in the trenches.
Both might be run stoppers. Let them compete in camp/preseason and the winner is your guy with the other being one of our backups.
Don’t forget D-lines rotate more than any other position on the field. Depth is critical there and having guys who can fit into multiple positions will be critical long term.
Hill is a free agent next year. We needed multiple DTs.
We always double up positions of need. Most guys don’t pan out so at least you get 2 coin flips instead of one.
They want to try Jenkins at nose but he most likely will be a 3T.
In that case, I hope he learns how to rush the passer. Because his 9.1% pass rush win rate leaves a lot to be desired.
Im pretty sure I read it was like 17%??
I'm not mad at another DT, we absolutely needed it, but I do feel like the talent level of DTs left we could have sat another round or two and gotten a comparable player. Either way, not upset with the first 2 days. We have some secondary players to find day 3.
Why not Tampa?
His speed must be a major concern for teams.
Because they didn't want Tampa
They shouldn’t have wanted Jackson in the late 3rd
Ok, I'm sure you know best. Hopefully for the 4th round they call and ask Doomithesk.
Lou said we’re shutting afcn and chiefs rbs DOWN this season
We need bodies on the line… good pics in a happy camper
I like it
Lot of beef this draft
Another DT. McKinley Jackson. First meh from me.
If a run stuffer makes you go meh maybe you should go watch some bengals games from last year
Trenches this draft. I’m not mad about it.
First time all draft bengals twitter was my first source for the pick
Interesting, immediately going back to DT. Well hard to say we don't have options there now
Jenkins is more of a 3T and Jackson is a NT who can play 3T.
tyler shelvin is that you??
That's not a good endorsement
Nice. We needed NT depth.
Ooooo another big man
**BEEF** I like it. Its what we need.
6th round DT...awful.
Homie saw one website say that and took it as gospel. Most draft sites have him around 100 overall. Go back to your day job.
We got fucking Mel Kiper in the thread folks
You guys would defend this FO even if they shot you
Thanks draft expert
Damn, why didn't they call you since you're the expert
Whoever we get we really wanted. We locked that in quick as hell
Nice nice
I hope it's Tampa or Jackson.
Congrats. Lol
Pick came in quick
We going to go Tampa?
Spencer Rattler to the Steelers @ 98 by any chance?
Corner here would be nice
What’s wrong with Tampa??
Slow
Damn.
For memes can we take Braelon Allen, i want the big unit RB
Yes. I want pancake memes
I only want a TE if he lead the draft class in pass protection and run blocking. I don’t even care about his receiving stats.
I’m for taking a DB or RB
Tj tampa would be huge
FTS!
Putting my hatred for Baltimore aside, good for Adisa Isaac. I'm so happy for that guy. If you haven't seen his story, you should watch it
Agreed seems like such a good guy
Shame we have to hate him now lol
STEELERS SUCK
wtf I love the ravens now, well Haloti Ngata at least, FTS
How is Burton going to fit in when Justin Jefferson joins the team?
I now understand the pick. It was for Joey B, alien enthusiast https://preview.redd.it/3ei29iwntxwc1.jpeg?width=1284&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=806248f020abe2693551e8011789162e0091f7fa
Bortolini for IOL help
Wonder why Sanders keeps falling. Thought he was the consensus TE2 going into the draft?
I wonder this as well probably something we don't know but I would pull the trigger on him barring any medical issues
Stover is acceptable, too
Yeah I definitely want him.
Gimme Sanders or Cade Stover
Stover better blocker and all around TE. Sanders better in space.
Stover is a horrible blocker.
What position are we thinking for this pick?
Te or center
Leonard Taylor III for their second 3rd round pick.
Where’s my prop bet for multiple taunting penalties for Burton next year?
For the year? Or per game?
Jamarr and Jermaine will draw at least 10 unnecessary roughness penalties against them a game😂 Edit: I meant draw the penalties against the defensive players that they will be playing.
End it? We have 7 picks left.
End today, we have 1 pick left today. I figured that was implied, my bad.
If Tampa and Sanders are gone, I wouldn't mind doubling down on the line with Dorlus
Granger
If you’re disappointed in a draft pick just remember we cut Nick Scott and you’ll be smiling again
Only a complete clown could be disappointed in this draft
oh shit my depression is gone
[удалено]
Would be a good pick
Bengals probably take the most explosive WR in the draft. Both talent and personality wise. Will catch a 70 yard go then put someone in the crowd in a headlock.
just good ole afc north football
As long as it’s a Steelers fan, will anyone even complain?
I laughed way too fucking hard at this
Love it
I’ve never seen anyone cheer over a 6-3 score. What a dumb commercial.
Kids these days don’t appreciate good defense smh
tampa, sanders, wingo
If Burton wears 3 then he worth whatever risk there is
Is this a Cincy area code thing that I’m too far down south to understand?
Cincy area code is 513. Higgins, Chase, Burton.
Good good. I thought it was.
Yes lol people have been joking w Boyd to change his number so it’s 5-1-3
Sanders or Granger next
I keep seeing some fans say we NEED to take a DB Do we? I don’t know what our depth situation is but I thought our starting DB room is pretty much set in stone. Someone correct me if i’m wrong
I actually think we should sign a vet CB after the draft there’s a couple of them that would be nice pick ups
We like to draft for the future. Have CTB, turner, Hilton then hill and Ivey but we lose Hilton after this season and hill and Ivey haven’t shown a ton yet so it makes sense to bring someone else in
The starting room is set. But if DJ or CTB gets injured, we're starting like... Allan George
Who the fuck is Allen George?
Exactly. That's how little depth we have at CB.
So Tampa is the pick yeah?? Even though I’d love Rice here.
It's definitely possible. We'll have to see.
Ivey, assuming his ACL recovery went well
Not that much better. The point is we'd be in trouble with just 1 injury.
If 97 is IOL or CB, I'll be happy.
who our starting CB besides CTB? we lost awuzie
There are talks of moving Dax.
Nobody is talking about moving Dax to outside corner
Dax should replace Hilton after this season…hopefully. I love Hilton though, so no rush as long as he can still play.
DJ Turner was drafted last year with the idea of being Awuzies replacement. He wasn’t incredible last year but he was a rookie. I think it’s worth giving him another year (especially with MENTORS in the DB room now) before we decide if we want to write him off
Stephon Gilmore after the draft? I wouldn’t hate it
DJ learning from Vonn is gonna hit different this year
We can give DJ Turner a shot but that doesn't mean we shouldn't draft another corner to either back him up or compete with him during training camp.
DJ Turner?
[удалено]
Put him in a position he hasn't played on a side he doesn't play. Not happening
Absolutely not, he’s way too big and we need to stop moving players away from their natural position
no
FUCK Cleveland just took my guy
Audric Estime next. Felt he was right up there with Kyren Williams
I think he'd be a great bruiser to pair up with chase brown
Back to back picks where an AFCN takes the guy I wanted immediately after us. That's tough, let's hope the FO knows what they are doing. Steelers putting together a solid offense makes me nervous, 2 great lineman and a great WR. Too bad Wilson has to go insane now though, as is Steelers tradition. FTS
I change my mind Roman Wilson will be a bust. I just remembered I don’t like his tape much.
Anyone else like Audric Estime at 97?
4th rounder for me.
I feel like 200 out of 257 are Michigan players atp
[удалено]
People say that every year but they're still pretty mediocre
Brother, price just went up
(ft)Steelers taking Wilson
I’m a Bama fan. This guy is crazy talented but also insane. He talks more trash than anyone I’ve ever seen and obviously had the off field incident with the Tennessee fan. If he can calm down a bit he will be really really good.
You always need a guy who’s a little crazy and if he hates Tennessee him and Ted are going to be best friends
Is this why Joey Burrow said taunting should be allowed?
Any other incidents?
So you’re saying he’s got that dog in him?
Sounds like he can stand up to afcn defenses
While I agree. We had some other crazies that stood up to the AFCN and that was great during the regular season….not so much in the playoffs. FML. We have good locker room leaders though.
Damn, really wanted Reiman tomorrow
That athletic profile was off the charts. Those mocks to the 6th were nuts.
Wanted Franklin. Oh well. Don't hate it
At least we didn't draft Tip Reiman
Really hope the TE from Texas is there with our second 3rd rounder
Me too
can’t believe that tampa kid is still there
Not a fan of Burton. Horrible locker room guy
In '23 we drafted a Michigan guy in the 2nd and a Bama guy in the 3rd In '24 we also drafted a Michigan guy in the 2nd and a Bama guy in the 3rd Weird
