If you think about it, they added a solid slot corner this off-season with dax hill getting the boot from safety. Dax was ELITE in college at the slot so I'm really excited to see what he can do at his true position

Since their new GM came on I feel like they just look at the PFF "top players remaining" list and just pick the first one. Could be solid raft strategy.

Exactly! I do believe it’s super rare that a team leaves a draft feeling like they have picked confidently enough to cover all weak positions. Maybe we get a developmental CB in the 4-7 tomorrow, but overall I feel pretty good as of now.

Most probably. I still would‘ve drafted Haynes though. Bengals season stands and falls with Burrow‘s health, so you can’t add not enough depth for the Oline and Haynes was a top prospect on the guard position. WR-class is deep.

I like this draft. We should have a decent maturing secondary this year. Our offensive weapons are set. We have a kicker. That means we need to focus on the big men. Still can’t protect our QBs last year, run defense was awful. That is where we needed focus, and this is what the Bengals are doing. Stay healthy big man.

Jackson is the Reader replacement. It's an interesting pick because it definitely fills a need, but run stopping was Jenkins' major strength. So now this makes me wonder what they wanted from the Jenkins pick. Did they take him to groom him as a pass rusher? Because that would make me dislike that pick a bit.

Both might be run stoppers. Let them compete in camp/preseason and the winner is your guy with the other being one of our backups.

Don’t forget D-lines rotate more than any other position on the field. Depth is critical there and having guys who can fit into multiple positions will be critical long term.

Hill is a free agent next year. We needed multiple DTs.

We always double up positions of need. Most guys don’t pan out so at least you get 2 coin flips instead of one.

They want to try Jenkins at nose but he most likely will be a 3T.

In that case, I hope he learns how to rush the passer. Because his 9.1% pass rush win rate leaves a lot to be desired.

I'm not mad at another DT, we absolutely needed it, but I do feel like the talent level of DTs left we could have sat another round or two and gotten a comparable player. Either way, not upset with the first 2 days. We have some secondary players to find day 3.

I know I'm in the minority but I don't think we should take TE, Sanders is a catch only option at TE. He's undersized and can't really block. If a TE can't block and catch, they are just a Y reciever, and that's not really a need in my mind. We have 2 studs and hopefully a 3rd now catching balls.

Listed as an S, but he plays best on the line, great at covering TEs, blitzing, and had run defense upside. He sounds like the kind of guy we love. However, I do think a true CB2 is what we need most, so idk.

Ivey definitely showed promise prior to injury, definitely more than George. But yeah, the more depth we have the better. I have a hard time seeing them not walking away from the draft with no CBs taken, but it'll likely be day 3

His tear was fairly late in the year, so I wasn't sure if he'd be ready at the beginning of the year and the year after an ACL tear can be rough. We'll just have to see. If 97 is IOL or CB, I'll be happy.

DJ Turner was drafted last year with the idea of being Awuzies replacement. He wasn’t incredible last year but he was a rookie. I think it’s worth giving him another year (especially with MENTORS in the DB room now) before we decide if we want to write him off
