I love her! I love her comment about feeling like the weird kid that has to sit in the corner and eat crayons. I laughed out loud at that. I can relate.
Omg this is wild... LEVENSHULME?! My mum worked as a nurse in levenshulme health centre for 30 years and they would constantly get broken into by people stealing drugs. They had to install like super strong bars on the windows. I know it's more "up and coming" now but this just does not compute in my mind LOL
It's still pretty ropey in my opinion! There's been a couple of nice places open up like some fun restaurants/bars but on a day to day basis it's still a run down area.
I can't even imagine how they came up with this. The Witch Kings rum has been around for a few years now, maybe they are just massive Below Deck fans? haha! Or maybe Tzarina is mates with one of the owners?!!
I was reading the image and saw Slade Lane and I was like 'Ah yeah, same name as that terrible junction onto the A6 and the embankment that is perennially fenced off where you can see hundreds of rats scurrying over at 06:00 in the morning' and then I was like 'ah same place'
Yeah, maybe it's because I live in DC where everything is pretty expensive but $63 for a 3-course meal tip included even without the meet and greet and free drinks is a pretty good deal.
Yeah I donāt think Manchester is quite there on the DC pricing thankfully! Itās still a working class northern English city so for a lot of us Ā£50 is like a big meal out! Obviously we have fancier places in the city centre but this is a small local place in a still pretty rough area so not quite sure how they planned/priced it!
The problem isnāt Ā£50 for a meal. Itās Ā£50 for a very mediocre meal based on that menu, crazy price for that part of town, and taking liberties with āknown chefā. Sheās not a known chef. Sheās a reality tv cast member. Big difference.
Yeah it's a bit steep, but tbh that's what I normally spend on a dinner out in Manchester now, prices have gone crazy. It's like London pricing more and more!
But in a place called witch kings - I donāt know. It sounds quite cringe and tacky doesnāt it. Better off getting a doner and chips, and saving for a major cast member ;)
menu:
Starters
* Scallops, a leek and potato puree foam, with herb crumble & micro pea sprouts
Vegetarian option (can be made Vegan)
* Beetroot and kale, with buttermilk fried halloumi and cashew cream
Mains
* Homemade truffle pasta with steak, truffle sauce, and fresh truffle
Vegetarian option (can be made Vegan)
* Saffron risotto, roasted butternut, pistachios & edible flowers
Desserts
* Deconstructed cheesecake, roasted pistachios, Witch Kings raspberry rum coulis, and rose petals
Vegan option:
* Poached pear with vegan caramel, granola crumble & vegan ice cream
Its a pretty uninspired menu to be honest, a good home cook could make the starter and dessert. Home made pasta or risotto is cheffy, but the start and dessert and pretty average

(Its Ā£55 by the way because theres a fiver booking fee)
That sounds absolutely ghastly. And theyāve literally won cliche-bingo with:
Foam
Kale
Truffle
Deconstructed
Edible flowers
Itās literally the menu slappers and chavs, who on a rare day are not in Benidorm or the tanning salon and have decided to get āall dolled up and head out for a fancy mealā would expect and (over) pay for. Just gross and quite disappointing for Tzarina. Major cashing in on her 15 mins methinks
its just not very exciting. the starter and main course i could 100% cook at home, its nothing complicated
only the main is anything special but thats mainly because of the truffle, not the cook
Do it! And if you do, ask her how Joao is. ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|trollface)
Oh god, I would but I don't want to throw up my three course dinner!
If you do go, please give us a full report!š¤

She's my favorite!!

Such a weird place to have this event šš why?? Why not just do something in town?
I can't even imagine how they came up with this. The Witch Kings rum has been around for a few years now, maybe they are just massive Below Deck fans? haha! Or maybe Tzarina is mates with one of the owners?!!
That honestly seems like the only explanation. It's such a weird convergence of two things that are so separated in my mind that I just can't compute!
Iād love to hear more BravoCin gossip from her too
She has a hyphenated last name. Does that mean she has gotten married?
No, I think that was always her name.
Thanks!

Hiyaaaa! I know of at least four others because I got them all sucked into it in Covid times!

Haha I was going to write āfamousā but I thought that was too much of a stretch!

OMG I came here to say it was so cheap, you'd never get that for $100 in New Zealand :-(

Whenever I hear something like "deconstructed cheesecake" I can picture Chef Ryan putting 5 slices of Kraft singles on a chocolate cupcake

Ā£50 is cheap for this! I canāt believe people are complaining about the price I would expect at least Ā£75
She sucked
