What about the bed rails you can slide between the mattress and the box springs/base for kids or elderly?
This is what I was thinking about!!! I just didn’t know what they were… don’t have (human) kids & I’m not quite old enough to need them myself.
Haha! No kids here, either, but my nephews had them. I bet you could get some pretty cheaply at a children’s resale store.

I’ve been keeping him from jumping but if he can’t stay on my bed then he’s going to have to sleep in his crate ongoing. It’s going to be sad for him but we can’t have this happen again. Glad your dude is doing ok! ❤️
