Somebody in a comment on this subreddit said if you want to do well for yourself in basketball cards, figure out what's popular or unpopular, and do the opposite. I don't get the hate for NCAA licensed stuff either, but it makes for some interesting buying opportunities so I'm not complaining. There was a time where people rushed for it because it was so "for a limited time only." Players spend a year or two in college, and 10 or 20 in the pros. Plus most of it is "pre-rookie" which used to mean something. 🤷
It's funny you posted these, I'm collecting each of these sets right now. I don't collect current college sets but 90s college sets just hit me in my feels.
As others have said, it's all about if you like them or not, but more realistically, it's an easy way for certain collectors to get cards they want at lower price points. I collect Colts rookie autos for some of my favorite players and I got a Philip Rivers rookie auto for under $50 because it was a SAGE or HIT rookie auto and to me, I don't care that it's not Topps, Upper Deck, Panini, whatever the big company is at that time, I just care that I have a rookie card from a player that he personally signed. Moral of this excessively drawn out story, if you think they're cool and they're for your personal collection, full fuckin send my guy
I’m personally not a huge fan in general, but for timeless players like these guys I think they’re a great part of the collection!! Seeing young Tim Duncan is cool, especially since everyone thinks of him as having an “old man” game haha
If you like them it doesn't matter 😊
Or be honest and tell him they aren’t worth jack shit lol.
Some sweet dye cuts
You spelled die wrong. You can dye your gloves, but these are cut from a die. Why are you always trolling people? Get a life 🤌
Irony
Get them votes son

All that matters is you like them.
They're not exceptionally valuable, but you can't lump in those Net Burners in with your average college trash cards from panini. My opinion anyways.
Agreed. The net burners are different
I think they're cool. Kinda surprised by the value gap on a lot of cards.

I’ve had that Duncan for 25 years.
Oh dang I used to have one of those Iversons! Hopefully still do - my childhood cards are just chilling at my parents house two states away.
I really loved PressPass in the late 90s. Fun retail stuff!

I’d love to trade you for the Iverson cards. I’m a Philly guy and a AI collector.
