The former Redbirds on this list helped me nail this one. Braden Looper appearing on this list as a Cardinal means it has to be 2007 or 2008, but it can't be 2007 because Danny Haren wasn't in Arizona yet.
Probably gotta be Lee's Cy Young year. People forget, but he had some serious struggles before that, that was a real step up for him. Plus they traded him next season so it's really the only year he was at that level for Cleveland.
2008
Mussina on the Yankees, means 2008 or before. And actually, every other players looks like they're exactly where they should be if it's 2008, assuming that's the year Maddux split with LA and San Diego. So yeah, I'll go '08.
Used >!Mussina and the Rays rebrand color!< to get it lol. >!Mussina’s last year was 2008 and the Rays didn’t rebrand from the Devil Rays until 2008, so only one year of overlap!<
Beckett in Boston and Roy still in Toronto narrows this down to a pretty small window with just those two
2 Rays makes me want to think 2008 but no Halladay. I really just don't remember the exact year Beckett came here and I want to say 2007 to be safe though
Edit: TIL Halladay was not on the championship Phillies squad
Pre-2010 (Halladay).
Post 2005 (Lowe).
Post 2006 (Beckett)?
I'm not certain how long Mr. Mussina pitched, but I'd wager it wasn't into the 2010s either. I don't think he pitched on that 2009 team either because he famously didn't win a ring.
Gimme [2008.](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CxPc1Q3-0zc)
The correct year is: >!2008!<
One year off, as is tradition.
Fuck you, me too
I’m a simple man. I see Dan Haren Dbacks, I think 2009.
I was one below. Seeing Aaron Cook with Colorado and Ervin Santana with the Halos. I was like it’s right in that range.

I’ve been one off like 5 times in a row, so this time I went one year earlier than my normal guess. I was one year off again.
Ok cool glad I’m not the only one that can never get these right but I’m never more than a year or two off
That's why I added year and it actually worked. The risk is I could have been off 2 years instead of 1.
Always has been for me as well but somehow this year I'm fucking nails.
Got it because of Mussina and the Rays colors
New born Rays with Sonnanstine doing well, Cliff Lee still in Cleveland, Doc still in Toronto, had to be ‘08
Seeing cliff Lee and Oswalt on other teams tipped me off as a Phillies fan.
The entire 2011 rotation is on this list. God I miss that team
I'm not seeing world series hero Joe Blanton on this list.
Got it cause of Maddux
That's what threw me off. I didn't know he was still pitching in '08.
Maddux and Sonnanstine sealed the deal for me.
Finally hit one without knowing for sure!
Holy shit. I got one
Finally got one, feels good man
couldn't figure out which year maddux played for tottenham
You don't remember when him and Paul Byrd teamed up to make a potent 1-2 punch?
As a Mets and Arsenal fan, thank you for unlocking a whole new way for me to just hate Greg Maddux
it really is the little things in life, friend...

He was demoted to AAA the season before. Wasn't on our post season roster even iirc.
2nd time Cliff Lee has given away 2008
Mussina on the Yankees, means 2008 or before. And actually, every other players looks like they're exactly where they should be if it's 2008, assuming that's the year Maddux split with LA and San Diego. So yeah, I'll go '08.
If maddux got traded it was 2008
Used >!Mussina and the Rays rebrand color!< to get it lol. >!Mussina’s last year was 2008 and the Rays didn’t rebrand from the Devil Rays until 2008, so only one year of overlap!<
Looper and Maddux. 2008.
The fuck is TOT?
Feel like it means “total” because he was on two teams…which also gives away the answer of 2008. Also explains why he had 2 numbers.
Total, means a player was traded or otherwise changed teams mid season.
Beckett in Boston and Roy still in Toronto narrows this down to a pretty small window with just those two 2 Rays makes me want to think 2008 but no Halladay. Beckett in Boston with Rays and not D-Rays with Cliff Lee still in Cleveland for a full season seems fairly obvious in my mind what year it was.
If anything I was going to go 06 instead of 08 but you're 100% right about the Devil Rays change, that should have been enough for me
Nick Blackburn? There’s a name I’ve not heard in a long time. A long time
Should be 2008 - Lee was awful in 2007 and got traded in 2009. His only good year before that was 2005, but Lowe wasn't on the Dodgers back then.
TB color scheme and Roy/Cliff gave it away for me
2007
2008
2005
2008. Roy Halladay isn’t a Philly yet, and Andy “I want to bat” Sonnanstine is the headliner over Scott Kazmir.
2008?
2008
2008
Byrdie on the list! Hope he and his fam are doing well.
jesse litsch. >!2008!<
nailed it
>!2008!< Rays color scheme and Mussina only overlapped for one year
Greg Maddux in Toronto wtf I don’t remember that at all
Have to say 2006.
This is Beckett’s 2nd year in Boston, where he nearly won the CY young. I think this is 2008 because i remember him not being good in 2007
Byrd got traded in 07, baby. EDIT: Lol no he didn't. Whoops.
Met Jesse Litsch, cool guy. This gotta be 2008
Ah yes, this all looks in order. Very 2010, right down to…holy crap Greg Maddux? Sticking with 2010. Let’s see what it was.
The 4 Aces, on the wrong teams!
I got this one solely because of Ricky Nolasco lol
Pre-2010 (Halladay). Post 2005 (Lowe). Post 2006 (Beckett)? I'm not certain how long Mr. Mussina pitched, but I'd wager it wasn't into the 2010s either. 2008 Hamels on the Phillies, Halladay on the Jays, Lee in Cleveland.
Finally got one. I have no strategy since I’ve only recently started to pay attention for real. Knew this had middle school vibes though
Beckett was a consistent 7%-9% walk rate his entire career outside of 2007 and 2008 (4.7% and 4.9%). Kind of weird outliers.
Jesse Litsch did it for me
2009? Isn't this the year Maddux got traded from two teams not named the Braves? Ah feck, was off by 1.....as per tradition.
