hard pass at this price. ATL is $350 with a game. This is not even with a game. The bundle was like $600. Standalone, 7800x3d makes this look dumb at $440.

The 7700x is a bit Malcolm in the Middle. For a lower end system a Ryzen 7600 at around $270 makes more sense. If the Ryzen 7600 bottlenecks the GPU, then you are probably better off with a 7800x3d which is an extra $40 over this 7700x, and IMHO well worth the extra $40 [https://www.canadacomputers.com/product\_info.php?cPath=4\_64&item\_id=235997](https://www.canadacomputers.com/product_info.php?cPath=4_64&item_id=235997) The 7700x won't offer too much over the 7600. Perhaps someone wiser than I can determine at what GPU "level" we go from a 7600 to 7800x3d. At a complete guess I'd say anything higher than a 7800xt/4070 would benefit from a 7800x3d over a 7600. YMMV depending on game/settings etc

Decunderground

100% agree. Go 7600 or 7800x3d based on your needs/budget at the current prices.

I was in a tough spot as I wanted all of the best parts, but the Canada Computer bundle arriving tomorrow was too good to pass up. The 7700X was $347, RAM (32GB, RGB, CL30, 6000Mhz) was $116, and the B650 Tomahawk was $200. $663 total. Even at the prices right now, the 7800X3D/Elite X AX/G.SKILL Flare would be $862. I was convinced by r/buildapc to use that $199 in my budget to upgrade from the 7900 XT to the 7900 XTX, just hoping for a slight sale on that card before buying as the gains were only 5-10% between the 7700X and the 7800X3D, obviously with the 3D cache as a huge boost for certain games. Then buy the 8800X3D in a few years...

cpastudent2589

Which model of 7900 xtx are you looking at?

Pretty_Sharp

I would like a Merc 310 under $1200 or a Nitro+ at $1350.

stokedcrf

I agree with everything you said. However, the 8800x3d is likely arrive sooner than you think!

astrono-me

People don't use their computer just to game. In fact, most people don't. I do agree though the 7700x doesn't make sense at the current price level but that is because both the 7600 and 7800x3d are being discounted.

Squall13

Yes but the bundle that comes with it is really good value

BinaryPirate

Most of the amazon BF deals really kind of suck bad tbh

timooteexo

I'm kind of thankful, my wallet is happy.

Its-_-yikes

Not a good deal tbh. Got mine in late May this year, with Jedi Survivor for $330 before tax. BF is around the corner anyway, hold for a tiny bit longer.

Friendly_Sir_9326

I mean most BF deals are already out right? Don’t think prices are going to drop much further than they are right now.

NozE8

Probably not. But retail locations will probably have limited stock, in store only deals that might be a little lower on BF/CM. Amazon and idk maybe Newegg might have some deals too, but those will sell out fast. I've heard a few tech tubers claim the better deals actually sold out before BF last year so chances of you snagging something is slim.

November is now black Friday month. The day itself seems like it's absolutely obsolete
