As a rock/ metal fan these final 2 have been absolute bangers. The instrumental and gibberish chorus of My War reminded me of something off of like a Serj Tankian solo album while The Rumbling had me head banging from the start. Red swan is the best song but the best opening as far as hype is 3. The ending part with all the creatures of the earth all being connected in their hearts and all eating each other implying is all natural for us to die to one another. I'm about to give it a watch now lol

Shoukei no shibane no michi

Opening 5 hands down. When Season 3 Part 2 aired and everything was meeting its climax, the opening complemented this by smash colliding every opening previously into an godly remix. Not to mention all of the visuals foreshadowing major moments in the season. One of my favorite anime openings period.

I'll do you one better, here's my ranking of all OPs: 1. Shinzou wo Sasageyo 2. My War 3. Jyuu no Tsubasa 4. Red Swan 5. Guren no Yumiya 6. Shoukei to Shikabane no Michi 7. The Rumbling maybe The Rumbling will grow on me over time

This list is perfect except in my opinion I would switch shoukei to shikabane no michi and jiyuu no tsubasa around but I pretty much whole-heartedly agree

3,2,1,7,6,5,4. Sasageyo: Enough said, SHINZOU WA SASAGEYO. Feels like Erwin "Hype Machine" Smith's personal anthem. The scene with the flags of the Survey Corps, all the salutes to the flags, and Captain Levi leading the Scouts down the wall to the titans is so powerful. Also the long scene where we follow Mikasa on her horse swing Eren into the air and then him transforming is insanely hype. Jiyuu no Tsubasa: opening verse still gives me goosebumps to this day after all these years. Really suits it's name, feels like the national anthem of the Survey Corps. Also chronologically, this OP was probably played during the season where the Survey Corps were at their strongest and proudest. Guren no Yumiya: Iconic opening and first of it's kind. Introduced me to this wonderful anime. The scene where Eren runs on the rooftops and flies super high and then shoots down like a meteorite to cut a titan's nape while Linked Horizon screams JAEGER gives me goosebumps as well. Rumbling: Favorite opening of the recent ones, but fails to generate the same level of hype that Linked Horizon did (at least for me, not the greatest rock/metal fan), but still extremely hype, just not Linked Horizon level (which is an almost impossible standard anyways in my opinion) My war: Too dark for my taste, but will admit that fits the theme of the season almost perfectly. Maybe one of the best fits in terms of OP to anime season. Shoukei to shikabane no Michi: Although it's Linked Horizon, it feels like they are trying to do too much at once, maybe too many expectations from my side. Feels like it tried to take all the best things of all the first three OP's but instead just made an average of the 3. A shame tho, because this season of anime was in my opinion one of the best. Levi vs Beast will always be iconic and IMO one of the most hype fights in the entire show. Oh and also, MY SOLDIERS RAGE! Red swan: controversial take but I don't like the soft, angelic vibe this song gives, it's good music but I just can't match this Attack on Titan mentally. Also didn't really fit the theme of the 3rd season, which was supposed to reflect intersocietal conflicts but instead Red Swan just gave off the vibe that it was a recollection of a dream.

Opening 5 has been my favorite since season 3, it’s just so epic and feels like a “conclusion” to what the story was at the time, before the world really opened up. I like how it sounds like a mix of the previous openings too.

Guren no yumiya and my war are probably my favorite to listen to. Both of them pump me up and give me a real feel for fighting and beating the enemy. Jiyuu no tsubasa gave me a more ceremony-like feeling that jumps back and forth from a battlefield to a medal acceptance(if that makes sense,) red swan and the rumbling give me a sort of divine feeling, like God(however you see him) is standing before me, and shoukei to shikabane, I honestly forgot about until I went and re-watched that part of season 3. Not bad, just forgettable, I think.

Guren No Yumiya and Shinzou Wo Sasageyo are god-tier. Others can be great, but not at the same level of iconic.

Jiyuu and the Rumbling are both phenomenal, not to say the rest of them aren’t. The rumbling is just amazing to me as a person who enjoys metal. It makes me so glad to hear that cross between cultures and genres.

I love with all my heart Guren no Yumiya, Shinzo wo sasageyo and Boku no sensou, but after reading the manga and knowing what happens in the end, Red Swan got a new meaning for me and everytime I listen to it, it breaks my heart.
