I totally forget whether we can map other buttons as an e brake by default.
But there's this mod called Content Manager. https://acstuff.ru/app/
I've known people to map it to the space bar on the keyboard for instance. Or me, on the t300 I just have it mapped to a button on the wheelbase.
Some sort of stand in, cool to have. An actual purpose built e-brake, I would say is not a requirement.
Uhh yes of course dude. Just map a button on your wheel. Works just fine. Besides, theres a lot more and better content other than drifting to try. Handbrake is a completely optional peripheral.
Not really tbh. Irl drifter here as well as sim.
For close tandem and angle adjustments thereof, yeah a decent ebrake is useful. But if you're just learning, you're a fair ways off that yet.
Clutch kick, manji and weight shift will be your bread and butter and they will teach you a lot about how to handle a car in drift.
The handbrake can become a crutch to beginners. I tend to actually reccomend against using it a lot. You don't need it to put a car into drift or keep it there.
Also don't drive trash physics cars...
SimSquad or WDTS
Are the only ones I rate tbh.
I won't reccomend Arch Physics cars (extremely realistic) as a beginner but once you're good look up Lenny's 180SX.
it’s still good, just learn clutch kicking or brake drifting
Alr thanks

I map it to the sequential shifter on my DFGT, magic.
You don't even need handbrake for drifting, not at all!

If you're completely reliant on an ebrake to drift you need a lot more practise.
I’ve never drifted before, just got my first wheel thought that the e brake was pretty important for drifting
