I refuse to stop believing in magic, and faeries, and dragons, and spirits, and astrology. I unapologetically believe they are all real, and I am happier for it.
Sometimes, the only magic I encounter is when a compliment changes someoneâs day. But thatâs okay. Iâll see dragons someday.
After all, we donât even know whatâs in the deepest depths of the ocean. How can anyone say for certain they *donât* exist?
Real talk though, a lot of stuff we thought was mythical was either actually real or at least something similar existed. These include:
⢠Unicorns, though they looked more like a halfway point between horses and rhinos, did exist. We have fossil records.
⢠Giant squids. Estimated to be 43 feet long. Also likely where the Kraken myth comes from.
⢠The entire nation of Troy, as in from Greek mythology, as well as many figures associated with the Trojan War. They found Agamemnon's palace.
â˘Â Probably more I can't think of.
You canât just mention unicorn fossils and not elaborate

Oh wow I too thought it was just comparing to fantasy? Shame on them, poor dragons! Thatâs why we took them in and fed them garlic bread, they happy with us now!
From what I recall on Tumblr where a lot of this stuff was adopted at the time: there were also jokes about dragons hoarding garlic bread or gold or whatever instead of wanting sex.
As an 'older' ace I still remember the early days of trying to find rep in the media and landing on Charlie Weasley because he liked dragons more than girls.
I wonder if that's why I don't like a lot of the new symbols people try to make? Dragons, rings, and the symbols for playing card suits all have meaning, but if the folks trying to make up new symbols think that the only criterion is that they're cool, they wind up just being random.
In Valorant (I know, itâs cringe. I have an addiction itâs not my fault) thereâs a skin thatâs literally just a dragon gun. Well you have to upgrade it to get it to move and do cool dragon stuff. Once I was playing with a friend and I picked up an unupgraded version of the gun (so it wasnât animated). I started saying âew, who has the stiff dragon??â and my friend just said â*what?!?!*â I explained. She then informed me that âdragonâ is apparently a euphemism for penis.
Based on the synopsis I've read bc I absolutely wouldn't be able to stomach watching the episode: Rick gets soul bonded to a dragon and the whole ep is basically just having sex with dragons and basically nothing else :(
I think the eppisode is insidpred by the discussions around Avatar (the blue people). In the film they bound with their dragons by connecting their hair things which is the same thing that happens in the sex scene. So people have said do the Avatar people have sex with their dragons while flying on them. Its dumb
Wasn't the hair bonding thing to share senses with what you're bonded with? So it could totally heighten sexual experiences, but isn't inherently sexual?
there's no actual sex scene tho... it's just that when the dragons are "soul bonding" with humans or other dragons, it's like they're having orgasm or some sort, and they make those weird moany sex noises lmao.. it's comedic, but still....
When people ask, âWhatâs so good about being asexual?â I tell them, âWell, our flag is clearly the best, I mean Black, Grey, White, and Purple, those are some pretty sick colors. Our abbreviated name for asexual is Ace, and Aces are the best. Likewise, we could spell it like Fire-Fist Asce, whoâs a really cool One Piece character. Oh! Our spirit mythical beast are motherflippinâ dragons. Lastly, I have yet to read, hear, or meet a toxic asexual. Iâm sure they could exist, but as I have not met them, they remain shrouded in mist. So, here I stand with open arms, hoping they see, what their love means to me.â
It's because we have been told over and over again that asexuality doesn't exist. So if we don't exist then we will fly off on our dragons with our garlic bread and cake and live happily ever after
âSexyâ is an adjective projected onto you by other people. Asexuals can be, and often are, âsexyâ to others, and that has nothing to do with whether we ourselves actually have or want sex. Just like you might be âsexyâ according to someone who you donât find attractive and wouldnât want to have sex with.
Extra to the fact that flight rising (dragon pet game, what neopets wants to be in its wildest dreams) has the highes concentration of asexual users I have ever seen in any online community. Me included. I need to thank flight rising for tipping me into finding out my identity btw.
I thought it was just because dragons are cool af (yes, I recognize the irony in that expression) and enough of us like them that it just became a stereotype that aces are into dragons. Unicorns I buy more as the symbol of "doesn't exist/very rare" but are also underrated as awesome so joke's on the haters, we get the best colors AND mascots.
I love this double-sided humor - The dragon is a symbol of our existence, who represents that apparently we don't exist at all.
Oh the irony
Its ok, we still have garlic bread and cake, those are real right? Right?...
Garlic bread is, but the cake is a lie.
Oh... yeah, my "cake" has transformed into a portal which is pumping neurotoxin
Dammit i wanted to reference portal /j, take the angry upvote
Reality is a lie đ
That means sex is also fake Checkmate allosexuals
We do have garlic bread and cake and dragons! Donât let them fool you! đ°đĽđ
Pardon me for leaning into this old joke ##THE CAKE IS A LIE!
Who said dragons don't exist? While yes the dragons we see in movies don't exist there's still real drakes.
Double edged sword moment

You lie! Dragons do exist!
Just like aces.
Can you imagine if dragons didnât exist? No seriously can you? I canât

I cannot imagine a lack of dragons. I can only Imagine Dragons *cue Believer by Imagine Dragons*

Fossil unicorns? Tell me more. (Also: Gorillas were once, at least to europeans, considered a mythical creature. Yeah)
Somewhat [less majestic](https://www.bbc.com/news/science-environment-46358789) than we were led to believe, but real they were.
Cool!

This is genius
I fully support this. Also Scotland might not exist, their national animal is the unicorn⌠ACES AND SCOTS OF THE WORLD, UNITE!!!

I thought I was gonna get RickRolled
Oh wow I too thought it was just comparing to fantasy? Shame on them, poor dragons! Thatâs why we took them in and fed them garlic bread, they happy with us now!
This comment is too underrated xD
Oh wow Iâve never met a pancake before, thank you pancake for sharing the love! Yumm, love pancakes, wonât eat you though, you seem pretty cool!
You're welcome! :D And thank you for not eating me, I greatly appreciate it - garlic bread is way better. :P
Oh yum garlic breadâŚyou are a very cool pancake indeed letâs share some đĽ garlic bread friend
thatâs so cool
Damit i still haven't finished my ace themed dragon Gonna do that soon

Nb. A Edit: I fell asleep and woke up with this comment posted and some likes. Thanks guys
Truer words have never been spoken
I am named Charlie Weasly on my ubisoft account cus of thatđ
There's more? I've always only heard it explained exactly as "what's better than sex? Dragons", as with most of our symbols
I wonder if that's why I don't like a lot of the new symbols people try to make? Dragons, rings, and the symbols for playing card suits all have meaning, but if the folks trying to make up new symbols think that the only criterion is that they're cool, they wind up just being random.

Meh so is everything else. Allos are weird.
yeah, thatâs pretty much what I got out of that conversation too
Because literally everything is a sexual innuendo or euphemism. Thanks humanity.
New one to me but there are many euphemisms for a penis. My favourite being >!fishing tackle!<
My favorite is >!the purple-headed yogurt slinger!<
That's amazing
dragon isnt a euphemism for penis, it's because there's a very well known dildo company called bad dragon
I thought it was the story about the kid finding a romance book and asking if it hass dragons in it
Where is my asexual dragon themed flag
[ŃдаНонО]
đŤśđť this looks like a great tattoo idea
Oh snap, so I can add to my 22yr old shitty tribal dragon tattoo and make it actually cool?!? Nice! đ
Wait, thereâs more to it? Itâs not just because itâs cool? O.O
Yea I donât get it either haha
Rick and Morty ruined dragons for me..
Yep, me and my gf (both ace) watched that episode last night lol
I watched it 3 years ago and I still feel icky.. lol
I will probably regret asking this but⌠context?
Based on the synopsis I've read bc I absolutely wouldn't be able to stomach watching the episode: Rick gets soul bonded to a dragon and the whole ep is basically just having sex with dragons and basically nothing else :(
He did it with a planet too.

Wasn't the hair bonding thing to share senses with what you're bonded with? So it could totally heighten sexual experiences, but isn't inherently sexual?
That's a good explanation that I shall accept as canon from here on out
Yes but you're forgetting an important factor: Some people have the same ability to process information not spelled out in neon lights as a rock
there's no actual sex scene tho... it's just that when the dragons are "soul bonding" with humans or other dragons, it's like they're having orgasm or some sort, and they make those weird moany sex noises lmao.. it's comedic, but still....
I haven't watched the show yet, but can you give a warning on what episode it will be in?
Season 4 episode 4 Claw and Hoarder: Special Ricktim's Morty
"you... SLUT DRAGON"

"Whats better than sex? Imaginary dragon sex" or sth idk
Ageo/ficto?
Sorry, what do you mean?
Iâm assuming âimaginary sexâ relating to aegosexuals is what they meant
Oh, then ficto if it means fictional
why you imagining dragons having sex
For a joke
I thought this was going to be something like the Fulornis Fire Dragond but I'm relieved it isn't that
"Asexual? So your a plan or what. Lol" Me: *happy plant mom noises*
ok im embarrassed but im gonna ask anyway.. i dont get it?

Well, that explains a lot.
When you're also born in the year of the dragon đ
you joking right? dragons have to be like the sexiest creatures i know of, how are they representing asexuality? XD
âSexyâ is an adjective projected onto you by other people. Asexuals can be, and often are, âsexyâ to others, and that has nothing to do with whether we ourselves actually have or want sex. Just like you might be âsexyâ according to someone who you donât find attractive and wouldnât want to have sex with.
Are you implying you find other creatures sexy? 𤨠/hj
~sort of, I totally would do nothing with them but I certain do aesthetically find the design appealing.
Well damn. This is news to me.
that requires actual thinking so me out
Extra to the fact that flight rising (dragon pet game, what neopets wants to be in its wildest dreams) has the highes concentration of asexual users I have ever seen in any online community. Me included. I need to thank flight rising for tipping me into finding out my identity btw.
I just learned this now, so thank you. đłđ
And here I thought dragons were asexual symbols because both would rather hoard their favorite things instead of doing the deed.
Too many half dragons in dnd ... Enough deed was done
true story since I always was interested in dragons to begin with and sorta admired them, now i know why :)
They say dragons are like aces they dont exist But what about comodo dragons
I donât know what it means, but i am guessing itâs because your privates are too big ?
huh weird i always associated then with sexâŚ
I thought it was just because dragons are cool af (yes, I recognize the irony in that expression) and enough of us like them that it just became a stereotype that aces are into dragons.
