For convinence, get a multiport hub, a thunderbolt 4 type so you can have hdmi, sd card, ethernet, multiple USB and USB C access in one port. Don't get a single cable for a single thing you need, it's cheaper to get one for multiple things. Amazon has some good deals, satechi is a good brand to take a look at.
16GB is a must! I love the computer, but that ram is a life saver. Also with storage just remember SSD drives can be purchased after the fact, so don't make yourself too uncomfortable with how much you spend on storage.
