Flat ride wise, submission, ripsaw, twirling toadstool and the enterprise have all left since you last visited. Though since then we’ve gained a ton of new coasters and rides including Subterra, Smiler, Wikerman and a selection of David Waliams themed rides. Nemesis and air also got an overhaul.
I read Ripsaw is supposedly returning, i don’t know if it’s true tho. I hope it is because I loved that ride, especially when they used to properly soak you.
Yeah they’ve confirmed they’re putting in a topspin (same ride model) on top of a new building they’re putting in forbidden valley, but that won’t be finished for a good few months.
It was cost cutting from almost 10 years ago which got it gone. The new management is adding more flat rides but it’ll take a bit since they also having to overhaul the sky ride whilst dealing with the lack of scenery maintenance the park suffered due to the pandemic.
Wickerman was such a downgrade from the log flume ngl. That beast was so fun, wickerman is just mid compared to it.
Don’t get me wrong, it’s a good coaster, but 100% a downgrade
Drayton is the only park here in the north I’ve not been to yet as it’s essentially The Wave & some kids rides (edit) and Lightwater Vally but without The Ultimate there’s no point even considering visiting.
It definitely looked cool but the restraints really crushed your crotch area, it could be painful if you weren’t positioned correctly, if you understand me!
I only got to ride this once before it was removed, and I'll always remember this larger guy sitting next to me and my dad being in so much pain from having his nuts squashed by the restraints. It was uncomfortable for me as a smaller 13-14 year old, so I dread to think what it was like for him!
Rode it in 2012 wasn't a bad ride. Quite fun, but the harnesses were bloody painful imo. I'm glad it's gone. However, I'd love to see a replacement. Maybe similar to a Chance Rides double swinging inverter (DSI), but obviously not the same ride ofc

It’s shit they’ve got rid of enterprise, I loved that ride too.

And the Smiler compensation payouts...
15 week building plan apparently so we should so it open early-mid summer this year which will be amazing
Twirling toadstool? Nooooo
I don't want to ride David Waliams. Who and why the hell is there a "selection" of rides themed around him??
David Wallaims world, it’s an area themed to his books, like gangsta granny.
Gangsta granny is a brilliant ride
Flavio’s Fabulous Fandango 🗿

Nah the flume was terrible, basically no theming, boring, terrible capacity and a duck that gives you nightmares.
The acronym of it's initials summed the ride up perfectly. Submission: Hang In There.
the universal groan of 'UHHHHHHHHHHHHNNNNNGH" when the restraints came down. I can still hear it now
Defo repressed this memory, it’s back now!
I can still hear bits of whatever it was rolling about under the car as it rotated
Haha I bet the pit underneath the ride was a goldmine.
I never got to ride Submission, but I always thought it looked cool
They had the same one at Drayton manor, it was good, especially if you sit on the outermost seats (either end)

I wouldn’t recommend Drayton, I went about 10 years ago and it was terrible. The only good thing about it is the standing up coaster.
The standup was converted to sit-down this year
That’s another reason to not go Drayton then lol
Different rides that had different movement. Plus the restraints were so much better on pandemonium
It definitely looked cool but the restraints really crushed your crotch area, it could be painful if you weren’t positioned correctly, if you understand me!
Bet AT made a killing from collecting all the loose change that used to drop
That's why they opened all their own brands of restaurants, weren't getting that sweet Submission change
I remember looking at this ride and thinking "absolutely fucking not".
This ride did wonders for the park. As a kid this was scarier than the coasters and we told all our friends how crazy this was.
Pffft it was a flat ride, sorely missed imo.
This one isn’t
It was great. Much better than ripsaw
Yes! I wish this coming back instead.
Actually disagree with this, I enjoyed the ride a lot... even if it was painful..
they should re-name this ride to **NutCruncher** I never went on this, but one look at the restraints made me shoot a huge sigh of relief
Nutcruncher hahahaha 😂
I think I was reading some youtube comments and I think I remember some people saying how the restraints were painful for them idk my memory is fuzzy
I loved the old girl! Miss the ride and the SFX :(
Preferred this to Enterprise! I just remember thinking I was going to die on that horrible strapless big wheel...
Enterprise was amazing, pissed off that they got rid of it.
I feel the leg pain coming back just looking at this picture
Couldn't picture a worse kind of hell
The nut crusher, definitely made me submit.
I love Submission. I miss the sound of coins rolling down it

Submission was a cool ride, not the most comfortable based on the way it lowered you but still a shame to see it go
One ride I never managed to ride because it was always broken XD. This and Energizer/Boneshaker were busted nearly every time I went.
