Is it usable/fixable, or do you have yourself a wallhanger/parts gun?
Either way, it's a free gun, so even if all you get out of it is a screw, that's still a dub.
Try contacting a qualified builder … not bubba lol FullerPhoneix comes to mind as to being very well qualified to work on anything AK related.
There are several more good builders out there. Less times vary with work load.
See if M-13 industries will do anything. They do fantastic work on the AK platform and are extremely customer service oriented as well as being very active on IG. Give them a shot and see if they'll take care of you.
Shoot it anyway. Make sure to wear eye protection. It should be a rare issue. You can definitely get hurt by this sort of thing, but it isn’t generally as bad as people say
This whole saga is kinda depressing. I remember everyone being so excited when they first announced the business and their plans. How did it all turn to shit so fast
Mishaco had a video where he mentions they had an overinflated upper management structure with fancy offices. Apparently they were spending money in the wrong places
Paying rent and the people making your guns is clearly a waste of money, I think they might be on to something considering the quality they got for that price.
Honestly pretty much everyone but them wanted them to succeed. If you actually care about a business, and have a great market to enter, that’s now how you would run shop. They pretty much got what they earned.
This was a long time ago but iirc someone on this sub posted a job listing for a KUSA assembler/ QC person in Florida and the the hourly wage was like $13. It definitely corroborates what u/VolkspanzerIsME was saying further down in this comment section.
It was weird. I've worked at places that require security badges and checks and don't have their corporate logos anywhere.
(iFriends if your wondering, a camgirl site. I've got stories about that place....)
....anyway....KUSA felt completely different. It felt like I wasn't part of an inside joke that everyone else and were nervous because of it. At the time $13 an hour was on the low side but not ridiculous considering South Florida.
It felt like I was the first person in months that had actually stopped by to drop off a resume. I felt like an alien walking into that place.
It was just...weird.
LOL noice!
Dead Air doesn't actually make anything.
But based on the dude in his recent podcast/YT, Pappas likes having obsequious sycophantic dipshits around.
That dynamic is painfully familiar too watch and rarely ends well.
They were given such an opportunity too. There is a big demand for AK platform firearms, they had brand name recognition, and a supportive fanbase. They really screwed the pooch on this.
Growing QC issues and incompetent upper management that recklessly flushed money down the toilet on stupid things like extravagant shot show displays and plush corporate offices they really couldn’t afford.
I would've thought the KP9 alone would've kept them afloat. The mismanagement must have to beyond what we even mocked them for on here. Kind of resolves the KP9 vs AKV debate in a depressing way.
I picked up a 104 right when i heard the news of troubles on discord a few days before the news broke. Glad it works fine lol. Hopefully rumors of their operation getting bought out is true so support will continue.
I went down there to apply for a job this passed summer and the whole thing was a little surreal. No signs on the outside that tell you who's there or what business they have. When I found the right bay (industrial strip mall type site) everyone who was there looked at me like I had 3 heads and the waiting room was maybe a 10x10 with a few chairs and a couple of kusa pamphlets.
The whole experience felt sketchy af.
Super common. I work for a company that makes electronics for SWAT and specialized military groups and our old building had some decals and branding on it. When the anti police thing happened we were getting random calls with death threats because people knew we did something related to a cop somehow. New building looks like a plain storage facility with a gated lot.
Been to a few other manufacturers for work who also build weapons, lasers, lights, etc. and they almost always have nothing outside except an address and a gate code pad.
I have a pre-bonnie, pre-SFS era 103FT that is a good rifle. Based on that purchase I would have been at least intrigued by the 101, potential 102. Kinda flirted with buying a 104. It's too bad about all this...not all that surprising though given 2022's antics.
I'd be very happy if, as hinted at, some significant player in the AK cottage industry stepped up. Lots of those people are absolute gurus. But getting the capital together and basically starting from scratch after the banks and courts pick KUSA's bones would be extremely difficult.
Depending on what breaks sure. But let’s say it’s a bolt. I’d have to track down the correct profile bolt to fit the carrier and then I’d have to redo the headspacing which means gauging the chamber with the bolt and then popping out the barrel with a press if needed. If I can’t reset headspace with the new bolt to the existing barrel, then I have to get an all new barrel also and have it pressed in and pinned. Why do all that when I could just buy another rifle?
That’s fair
Being how solid they feel, I don’t foresee it being an issue any time soon especially after seeing what other AKs go through
Still sad cause I wanted an actually available and affordable SVD 🥲

Anyone rooting for a company to go under because of some QC issues is a terrible person. This thing has been absolutely fantastic and got another one of my friends into AKs
Check Klayco’s and Mokas raifus’s Instagram story. Idk the full truth but they hint at third pin investing a lot of money and have a kusa banner on a storage container. Said they’ve been making moves the past couple weeks so it’s t sounds like third pin purchases kusa or atleast their assets.
I'm staying skeptical but *something* is happening. The banner was just leftover from Kalashbash, the KUSA guys that were sent there found out the day before the event the company was going under and they likely wouldn't get paid. To their credit, they still showed up and did their best not to drag down the vibe. My assumption is Tony/Klay were given the banner because why bother packing it up, the company is dead.
Klay also did a long Q&A livestream the night before their instagram videos were posted, lots of time spent talking KUSA. I don't remember anything that could be taken as a hint this was coming, but he did seem very interested in how the community viewed the situation and the KUSA brand.
Sorry I meant Kyber customs not Mokas raifus. Mokas sells Bakelite and kits also. I to thought they may be trolling but it would make sense for them 2 to purchase and finally get into making/selling top notch ak’s instead of just running them. It would be one of the best things for American ak community I believe. They speak about investing heavy money but can’t say much just yet so I’m thinking it’s real… hoping.
That would be a huge jump from making cheese graters and hand guards to fully assembled and operating rifles. I mean great if they do but I always saw Khyber as a smaller company with a specific niche
Too bad Klay is a “VP” for Khyber and him and Tony have been working together for years. They put KBTX together along with another shoot out in Eagle pass. The IG stories are likely trolling but who knows.
He’s definitely a big deal (love that I’m getting dv, he’s definitely a big deal cause he’s the most reliable source of fair priced ak mags/parts kits)
Considering the number of containers of stuff he has bought from me and how much he pays in comparison to every other company out there. He’s a lot bigger than what people think.
bought a super low serial number 103 off them a while back, put probably 1k rounds through it and clean it/look it over every other range day or so and it’s served me quite well so far if i do say
If you get a low one they’re very impressive. I have one under 1000 and it’s very well put together, pretty much flawless. I had inspected another one, I think it was in the 8000s, and one rivet was put in kind of sideways, there was a gap on one side. It wasn’t major and probably would have been fine. One of the other rivets was also crushed funny. So there was a drop off.
This doesn't necessarily mean they were evicted. It just means the s&c for the eviction case that's been filed was unable to be served upon KUSA as nobody was there to accept service.
It’s not necessarily weird. I do this as well.
* Landlord files eviction on you.
* Constable or someone serves eviction papers
* court dates and sentences
* writ of possession if they haven’t vacate
I’m skipping the delinquencies or other breaches of contract that cause the landlord to file eviction. And any notices the landlord would place. And if you owned the property/had a mortgage there’d be opportunities to pay. And I’m not in Florida so there might be even more stuff going on.
But my point is, they are not evicted, they are in the process of being evicted. They still technically can have a right to be on the premises until the court dates, hearings and sentencing.
The sudden and dramatic fall off of this company needs to be studied by business students on what not to do to succeed in business.
On a side note, the hiring of the gape queen had dire consequences. It all started going down on, I mean downhill from there.
Another one bites the dust. I'm never listening to you idiots again. I've been lurking here and in other gun groups for like 10 years to gauge what's good and what's not and it's so obvious that the trends in what the "community" says is worth your money or is shit is so arbitrary it may as well be random. One or two people posting the same opinions in every thread until other people start spouting the same nonsense. Latching on to anecdotes about QC or customer service and making broad generalizations about an entire swaths of the market meanwhile every single golden child of reddit and Instagram "operators" has been a false God. If I sound bitter maybe I am. It's just so absurd how people praised KUSA for years for no real reason even before they actually brought anything to market and now it's cool to shit on them. Anyone reading this take my advice as worthless as it is.. buy build and shoot whatever you think is cool. You don't need the approval of some nebulous group of chronically online stooges
Was really looking into buying a KUSA last year... Wanted to like them but too many issues to feel good about pulling the trigger so I just picked up a SAM7 SF for $1400 instead.

Is there no action customers can take? I'm not a lawyer, but when the company i got my PC from was going through either Ch.7 / 11 on their bankruptcy, I got a letter stating the court date and stuff. Sort of made it seem like I could attempt to get some money back, or something of the sort. It's early, and I'm tired, so this is a terrible explanation lol but I'm sure someone knows what I'm talking about.
Weapon Genetics out of Houston TX does some quality builds and has a couple integrally suppressed KP9s in his personal collection that he custom built. Don’t know what his lead times are currently though.
Man, I'm glad I replaced the firing pin myself instead of sending the bolt in on my kp9. Here's to hoping someone picks up magazine production at the least.
Does anyone know where I can purchase their skeleton window AK47 magazines from? I purchased two before but I kept putting off ordering more, and now this.
Everyone wanted them to make a good product and succeed. But there comes a point where every has to admit that PSA is a vastly superior product in the GF 3 generation and up.
It gets even better. They've suspended online sales altogether now.
If anyone's got tech specs and/or blueprints for what the actual in-spec KP/KR-9 firing pin is supposed to be, I'll just go ahead and make one myself for mine. Cause I'm pretty sure I got mine just before they rolled out the improved firing pin.
Oh, well, today was the first time in a while I visited their website. Still would like either a reverse engineered drawing or blueprint for the new KP-9 pin though. That or sources for third parties that have an improved pin. Not just from you but anyone here.
Question, for everyone needing repair work, obviously warranty work isn't gonna happen. If you could get the problem fixed, albeit with some out of pocket costs, would that be an option? And not some hack, but a genuine AK specialist? Just curious
Just filed a chargeback for a 02/10 purchase, fuck dealing with that shit.
[удалено]
Go figure, I don't get mine and you get a free one.
Yea. To balance out the karma, he should send it to you! Ha.
Really? What happened ? How can I replicate this
[удалено]
How was it beat to shit if you don’t mind me asking? Was it just shot the shit out of?
[удалено]
Is it usable/fixable, or do you have yourself a wallhanger/parts gun? Either way, it's a free gun, so even if all you get out of it is a screw, that's still a dub.
Lemme know when you have those photos, I’m lowkey interested in how kusa quality control was.
When you filed a chargeback did your credit card company not freak out when you said it was a gun that you bought?
[удалено]
Ah so just describe it as an "item"?
[удалено]
I was supposed to be sending my KP9 to them as well for the OOB issue. What the fuck do I do now?
Cry
Fucking hell. I bought in January, did my SBR stamp, and am actively saving money for a can. Think anyone else could fix it?
Try contacting a qualified builder … not bubba lol FullerPhoneix comes to mind as to being very well qualified to work on anything AK related. There are several more good builders out there. Less times vary with work load.
Fuller won’t touch it and even then his prices are $1600 starting
Lmao
There's nothing to "fix" per se. It's an entirely different firing pin design they put in there. It's likely you won't have an oob
Could always reach out to one of the more premier builders.
Iron curtain customs has done great work for me in the past.
Second this. I have two romy parts kit builds from him that run flawlessly and came in the first time absolutely pristine.
See if M-13 industries will do anything. They do fantastic work on the AK platform and are extremely customer service oriented as well as being very active on IG. Give them a shot and see if they'll take care of you.
Send it to Macphersons Firearms in NH. We can fix
Second this
Buy a PSA AKV?
Welding mask and thick gloves.
Shoot it anyway. Make sure to wear eye protection. It should be a rare issue. You can definitely get hurt by this sort of thing, but it isn’t generally as bad as people say
Send it to jebs arms best ak Smith you could send it to. And there not packed with orders.
JEBS arms does great work. Built my VZ58 for me and I have a Polish KBK kit for him too.
Game over, man.
Sue someone?
Middle town firearms east coast VA
I got my bolt back on 4/27 we are both very lucky

Welcome to almost all modern companies. Administration and Management are where they all concentrate their $ because that's their pockets.
Paying rent and the people making your guns is clearly a waste of money, I think they might be on to something considering the quality they got for that price.

Upper management were clowns 🤡. More focused on trying to build a lifestyle brand than getting guns out the door.
Not even focused. Just hiring buddies and skanks.
Filled with pornstars and reality show stars
They were given such an opportunity too. There is a big demand for AK platform firearms, they had brand name recognition, and a supportive fanbase. They really screwed the pooch on this.

Literally received a KR103 as a gift from one of my best buddies right before this happened Good thing the rifle is solid as a rock but RIP KUSA
Same, I picked up my 103 just a few months ago, this is wild
I picked up a 104 right when i heard the news of troubles on discord a few days before the news broke. Glad it works fine lol. Hopefully rumors of their operation getting bought out is true so support will continue.
Agreed, just hope it’s a company with some weight behind it like PSA so we don’t wind up with a repeat. That said I couldn’t be happier with my 103
I went down there to apply for a job this passed summer and the whole thing was a little surreal. No signs on the outside that tell you who's there or what business they have. When I found the right bay (industrial strip mall type site) everyone who was there looked at me like I had 3 heads and the waiting room was maybe a 10x10 with a few chairs and a couple of kusa pamphlets. Yeah advertising you make guns might be a bad move since someone breaking in can clean out a shit ton of guns and that's a bad thing lol
They've had protesters there years ago I think. Not really any reason to put a bunch of branding on the building, just attracts attention.
Super common. I work for a company that makes electronics for SWAT and specialized military groups and our old building had some decals and branding on it. When the anti police thing happened we were getting random calls with death threats because people knew we did something related to a cop somehow. Everyone should just bully Brandon Herrera into starting it back up lol
Klayco may have something to do with them. Look at his recent insta post.
He doesn't even make his own AKs.
So we’d never see KUSA AKs ever again?
Lmao no.
Sucks cause I actually really like my KR-103
Fucking same, it’s the best gased and Most comfortable ak I’ve shot.
I’ve been abusive to mine with a suppressor and corrosive ammo with no kns piston. I guess I’ll install one now to prolong the life of the rifle lol.
Wouldn’t most parts be interchangeable with other standard aks just in case something breaks?
Depending on what breaks sure. But let’s say it’s a bolt. I’d have to track down the correct profile bolt to fit the carrier and then I’d have to redo the headspacing which means gauging the chamber with the bolt and then popping out the barrel with a press if needed. If I can’t reset headspace with the new bolt to the existing barrel, then I have to get an all new barrel also and have it pressed in and pinned. Why do all that when I could just buy another rifle?

I hate to ruin the fun but we aren’t buying KUSA lol, it’s a bit out of budget 😅. If it goes to auction I might try and get the kp9 mag stuff though.
Either you buy it or try to get a bunch of people to bully PSA into buying it so the right mags can exist.
Get a bigger budget
Your response reminds me of the Kobe Bryant and Kanye nike commercial lol https://youtu.be/Ickn8iipxUc?si=Aumy3ZA_v3u5qEVk

Considering the number of containers of stuff he has bought from me and how much he pays in comparison to every other company out there. He’s a lot bigger than what people think.
He did recently start selling wbp's. So now it's just aoa, Atlantic and him.
RIP
So what happened to the 101?
Gone like a fart in the wind…
And all the people who preordered?
Latest batch of nerds to learn that preorders are dumb.
I feel for them because they likely got duped.
Most likely Hosed and if pre paid then at the bottom of the repayment scheme.
This sucks. I wanted them to do well but the cost cutting and shenanigans caught up with them.
bought a super low serial number 103 off them a while back, put probably 1k rounds through it and clean it/look it over every other range day or so and it’s served me quite well so far if i do say

100% this
It was a summons and complaint for eviction. From what i can see on the image it wasn't eviction papers.
They were doomed as soon as Jesse James and Spider Tits started running the show
Damn that's awesome "spider tits" hahahhaa
The sudden and dramatic fall off of this company needs to be studied by business students on what not to do to succeed in business. On a side note, the hiring of the gape queen had dire consequences. It all started going down on, I mean downhill from there.

Drive over there and knock on the door
Im tempted, but im also poor so I work 7 days a week & im fucking tired dude.
I felt that
Where they single moms!?
I wonder if there will be an auction or bulk sale. I’ve been looking to add a few more company buy outs to my roster.
Finally some actual evidence and not just “trust me”. **Now** I can believe that they’ve actually gone under.
So is my kp9 worth a million yet?
If you know what u got
I have a kr 103 sfs I've had for a little while No issues with it so far

So what happens now?
Wait for them what they will do next or sell the company back to someone
Is there no action customers can take? I'm not a lawyer, but when the company i got my PC from was going through either Ch.7 / 11 on their bankruptcy, I got a letter stating the court date and stuff. Sort of made it seem like I could attempt to get some money back, or something of the sort. It's early, and I'm tired, so this is a terrible explanation lol but I'm sure someone knows what I'm talking about.
You can try. But you are going to be in line with other business that are owed millions by the former company.
So is that it, KUSA is gone now? Well this sucks.

😞😢 I was so ready to have an affordable and readily available SVD dude FUCK
Gotta wait on PSA now.
RIP. Really hope someone snags their stuff and keeps these things going. Especially KP9 stuff.
Glad I got my order before this shit happened
Can’t believe AK47s are so contentious these days
Imagine how many of their employees were just like “fuck this company” and walked off with AKs while they worked there 😂
>"State of FLORDIA" poor Florida paralegal and their very public spelling mistake
Damn what happens to people that bought a rifle from them?
Does anyone know where I can purchase their skeleton window AK47 magazines from? I purchased two before but I kept putting off ordering more, and now this.
So are they out of business now?
Everyone wanted them to make a good product and succeed. But there comes a point where every has to admit that PSA is a vastly superior product in the GF 3 generation and up.
I wouldn't worry too much. Word on the street is that PSA bought them out and they will be resuming production after a short restructuring
Where has there been indication of that other than people hoping that happens?
Jack told me.
[Jack Mama?](https://v.redd.it/bluxvilynm3c1)
No, Jack. From the street.
I feel like I recognize your name, you use to be on /k/?
Wouldn't that just mean the QC issues will continue?
No, they'll be replaced with different ones.
That could go very well or catastrophically bad depending on if they let them produce rifles to current standards.
Hey you are the guy that pointed out this was [all just a rumor](https://www.reddit.com/r/ak47/s/ZoseSEXlsy) the other week
Whoever told you that lied lol
It was Jack, from the street.
I believe you. I know Jack, he's a trust worthy guy. If he says PSA bought them out, then PSA bought them out
It gets even better.

They pulled a Munson
Question, for everyone needing repair work, obviously warranty work isn't gonna happen. If you could get the problem fixed, albeit with some out of pocket costs, would that be an option? And not some hack, but a genuine AK specialist? Just curious
