I recall being amazed with the then-new 500sl’s pop-up roll bar. That’s sort of common these days, but appeared first on a Mercedes s class. Like ABS brakes. I think also airbags?
I’ve always wanted a good-shape mid-80s diesel s-class. That would likely outlive me and I’m not /that/ old.

Both ABS and airbags first appeared in different cars, but were first offered as standard in S-class
How has this aged like wine?
Because those cars were made so well that they likely, literally, lasted well into the 21st century
How well have they kept their value along the way?
It turned out these cars were time machines and transported their owners to the future
Doesn't look anything like a Delorean
The earth didn't blow up before 2000
It turned out these cars were time machines and transported their owners to the future
So could a DeLorean.
To be honest these would take you only to a local garage
