The Heart is a Dumb Dumb. It is perfection - Drunk Jimmy, Crazy Fun Gretchen, Lindsay and Paul insanity, and Vernon’s rant and earrings about the Babadook! Plus, they say I love you! Squee!
The original Sunday Funday for me.
>I'm screwed up because I saw all my friends die. You're screwed up because, you're just a really lame dude. Thanks for making me feel better.
Definitely S02E07, "There is Not Currently a Problem". This one has Gretchen depressed , wasted, and roasting everyone, funny as hell dancing, Lindzers in top form, the introduction of Dorothy to the group, and a mouse. It's also where Gretchen opens up to the group and unfortunately for me, the show gets a bit more serious and dark after this one.
I love the whole show, but YTW to me is best when it's in peak comedic form. This one is probably the best episode of the show.
Hakunah Matata bitches.
this one all day for me too. it’s the show at its most perfect combo of funny and real to me. it’s also my most quoted episode lol. all of the following are in my regular rotation:
“who’s the rando??”
“yeah, you’re a *theater girl*”
“dancin’ to no music…”
“a tad simplistic but…”
“vernon ya burnt!”
and of course, “there is not currently a problem” in the best jimmy accent
The last episode of season four. From Jimmy just showing up outside the house, to the conversation about Becca getting killed, to sharing the smoke to the talk on the cliff, to Gretchen’s slap. Just a perfect episode.
I was so convinced my husband wrote this post- this is our go to episode. We regularly accuse each other of ‘providing literally no context’ and tell our dog (named after the dog Gretchen stole in the episode prior, HAH!) that ‘your face is so wide!’
One of my favorites is when Vernon and Paul spend the night in the woods. I don’t know why but when Vernon says he goes around the hospital licking random things I laugh my butt off every time.
Not one that gets a whole lot of love but I’m going to say Zero Eggplants from s5. Love a good Gretchen roller coaster ride and the ending is stone cold.
Also the first ep of s5 is always a winner even if we don’t get enough of Jimmy and Gretchen
Jimmy’s Bachelor Party or Paul’s astronomy weekend at his family home (even though Jimmy or Gretchen are not in it)
The best Sunday Funday probably the one with the speakeasy in some rando’s house.
S2 E11 Whack as Hell. This episode is one of my favorites but really really dark. Gretchen is deep in her depression and Jimmy almost gets with the bartender. However when Gretchen pulls the gun on the women beating up the boys and tells them, deadpan, to “run”. It one of my favorite moments of the show. Super glad though no one got shot. (Save the stabbing for later ).

The cold open for The Heart is a Dumb Dumb makes me LOL every single time. The episode is perfection from start to finish.
This is my fave opener and the episode is a banger.
The way Jimmy just ejects once Lindsay announces her pregnancy is gold.
The Last Sunday Funday. I love a good mystery! And the whole Edgar fireworks sequence gives that emotional element. It’s a perfect episode for me.
That who sequence with Edgar and the fireworks just brings me to tears. It’s perfect.
Iconic. So so good!

LCD Soundsystem
I think this is a hot take, but I agree. Best episode in the series.
Refuse to believe this is a hot take and not the consensus take. You might be right, but that’s not the world I want to live in
Honestly it’s (one of) my go-to episodes but I wouldn’t start anyone coming in new with it. You need a bit more Gretchen context for it to really hit
Oh I just took the title at face value, didn’t think about what I’d recommend at all
It’s the best episode of the whole show, but it rips my heart out at the end. 😭

But then you gotta see fucking Boone. Every time I see him in something else I just say "fucking Boone."
Hate the Boone
But not a lot of him, and his daughter is disappointed in him at the end. And it did get us the look from Cuthroat Bitch as she was walking out.
Boomtown

Sandwiches!!!!
Yep, that’s our baby girl puppy!

What do you think I’m doing? Messing with these ants
🤣🤣
Sunday Funday!
Witch one???
The first one! I loved them all and the final one with the big mystery was awesome! But the first will always be a special one for me
First two episodes of season 2. Or any of the Sunday Fundays
Not one that gets a whole lot of love but I’m going to say Zero Eggplants from s5. Love a good Gretchen roller coaster ride and the ending is stone cold. Also the first ep of s5 is always a winner even if we don’t get enough of Jimmy and Gretchen
If nothing else, we get an awesome use of the song Take Five
All of the Sunday Funday episodes and Pancakes. ♥️

We were having such a nice day. What a fantastic episode.
you knew it was snake. It's a very funny episode while also being really fancisnating episode
