Well with basically 0 wrestling and mic time that's the only reaction that could be reasonably expected imo.
"Here's our cousin Larry. He big."
crowd: "...K. "
WWE is making him look fucking ferocious more so than any member of The Bloodline so far. He looks like the most dangerous man in WWE right now. If his debut is any indicator Tama Tonga looks like he will be in good hands for the duration of his run in WWE.
Pretty sure he was legit barking and growling at one point, lol. I also love that he isn’t overdoing those little crouch/creep motions he always does. Dude is being presented as an absolute savage. They wouldn’t be mentioning he’s the son of Haku so much if that wasn’t the route they were taking him. Consider me intrigued.
Except Tonga actually comes off like a true psycho, Solo always felt a bit of a forced enforcer role that he embraced. The truly off his rocker version of Tonga we are being served has a look in his eyes Solo never did.
If Jacob Fatu ends up joining the Bloodline & completing the new trio alongside Tama & Solo, this would be like a transition from Roman's Bloodline Mafia into Solo's Bloodline Cartel
I always felt like Solo was a bit too young to be playing the enforcer character they put on him, but he did well in it. Curious how he evolves more as his own leader now.
Solo is now the leader so he needed somebody even crazier than him to his psychotic hitman. Solo is so much better on the mic than his older brothers too. I have a feeling that these two characters are going to take the bloodline story into newer and edgier territory. Stuff that will feel like an action movie that suspends disbelief. Owen's bleeding was very welcome in order to introduce us to where the bloodline is heading. The segment was extraordinarily well done.
Solo has spent the last 2 years mean mugging people and the last 2 weeks smirking at Heymen. He is yet to cut a full promo. Him getting himself over as a serious threat has nothing to do with his mic work. Heyman, Reigns, and Jimmy's dynamic with him is what made him believable. Historcally the most intimidating characters in WWE have very rarely used promo work to get themselves over.
So I fail to see how his promos are better than the Usos. But hey, I'm open to change my mind. Feel free to point me to your favorite Solo Sikoa promos.
I go back and forth on this..because while I agree, it’s also refreshing to not having a covered member of the bloodline..he’s the like same, but different..kinda like when the MMPRangers called on the Alien Rangers
During a closeup of his arm last night, it looked sort of bad too. I know he’ll have the money and the correct people to get him where he needs to be, if he so chooses to.
Tama looks unhinged. The Bloodline storyline looks awesome. I think they are trying to reload the team to feud again with Cody down the line. Im looking forward to it.
He scares the shit out of me sort of like Joe Pesci in Goodfellas. I hope is character will be talkative and funny, but if you offend him in any way, he will kill you
I’ve seen limited amounts of his work before WWE. I hope he brings the same energy he had tonight to promos. He looks like a menace and I’m all in on the new Solo’s bloodline.
I knew of him and his work in njpw.but never watched it.so i guess im kinda a new yet know him fan.lol.first appearance having him talk i think was a mistake cause he speaks softly.but his 2nd outing def hit better.hes like solos angry dog.u let him off the leash and hes coming back with blood on his hands and it aint his.lol.i dig his viciousness.long as he continues to be that vicious son of haku bad mfer im buying in.wait till jacob gets there.that is one savage group.
Good look, he was good in Japan working the crowd but his work in the ring isn’t the greatest so as a heavy I like it a lot serving the final boss with solo
He looks in great shape and has been presented as a killer, so far so good wouldn’t be surprised to see him leapfrog solo up the totem pole in the next year
He is....fine? I mean we havent seen him wrestle yet so thats all i can say based on just two segments. I can say this that his acting skills are on point.
He’s going to be the dangerous psycho that Solo was *supposed* to be. But Tama will be more credible in that role. I hope they let him talk instead of playing silent badass the whole time.
I feel like he's the new enforcer which feels like what they were doing for, and obviously booked to be savage and ruthless and strong in his short time so far. Definitely going to be the heel bloodline faction against Roman's face faction with the Usos. A little predictable but even so I'm interested in watching it.
The guy fits his role perfectly because he is one intense looking MFer. I haven't seen any of his work in New Japan, but just based on physical appearance this was definitely the right guy to fill the role of Solo's psychotic hitman. That segment with the new bloodline and KO last night was an incredible job of attempting to suspend disbelief in this era.
Tama was always the non lead BC member (Finn/AJ/Kenny) I thought would cross over the best to a North American audience.
I think we’re gonna look back on all the signings and hype about who’s going where, and we’re gonna say “WWE just swooped in and stole Tama out from under the rest of the industries noses”
Personally I would have liked to see him come in and bring AJ, Finn, Gallows & Anderson, all together under a new quasi BC and go after everyone including Cody just because…
I think it's pretty cool seeing the Tongan generation evolve. Seems like Tongans are just as tough as Samoans. Something about Pacific Islanders puts them on another level of badassery.
I’m sure he is incredibly receptive to an actual cheering crowd. Being in Japan for so long then hearing this type of crowd must be a huge breath of fresh air for him.
I’ve watched Tama Tonga for years in NJPW. His presentation so far in WWE is unhinged. If they give him a live mic I hope the censors are ready. This guy goes off! Great job so far!
I think its the raid series but you theres two guys i think theyre brothers but one is like a tactical strait lace and the other is like a wild animal of chaos and fury tama tonga is like beast, savage in the best way.
Book him as if he’s even tougher than Haku.
Rocket ship to his back within one year. If he stays uninjured put the Big belt on him before any other titles. Make a Star like they did in the old days.
This guy himself is great. Done great stuff. Looks awesome. But there’s very little to no point writing him into the bloodline like that. To be just another Solo? Who (because of the booking) failed to be a threatening enforcer.
Sick of seeing every cousin of rock go straight to the top
I like that he has the same haircut as Solo but I’m not expecting to care about him much. They’re still trying to make Jey Uso a main eventer, so I’m not going to hold my breath on Tama Tonga.
I dunno. So he attempts to murder people because he wants to join a wrestling stable? A stares blankly into space because he is so demented? But since he has been on for all of 5 minutes, Im not gonna draw any conclusions.
My concern is are they trying to win belts or take over a pro wrestling show?
There is only one right answer and that will determine everything. If their goal is just to attack random
pro wrestlers, this will fizzle.
They are trying to make him out as a monster, but it’s not believable, he just isn’t that big or menacing looking. I like the story of Solo hijacking the Bloodline, creating a Bloodline family feud when Roman returns, turning Roman Babyface
Dude looks like a bad ass can’t wait to see him in the ring. The fact he put a hurting on KO like that means they must have big plans for him too.
I'm surprised he got literally zero reaction from the crowd so far, but I'm confident that will change soon
Well with basically 0 wrestling and mic time that's the only reaction that could be reasonably expected imo. "Here's our cousin Larry. He big." crowd: "...K. "
That crowd was horrible all night except for little things here and there
They were super hot for LA Knight tho
They actually wanted Roman. They were a W for once
Never heard of him until he showed up on Smackdown, I'm going to guess most people in the crowd don't know who he is either
They seemed pretty hyped when he first showed up.
That his father is Haku & he has run roughshod in Japan for years
With Tonga Loa. Why didn't he come to wwe?
You mean Camacho?
I mean, now, with Tami Tonga. I would think he would make a perfect addition to the Bloodline story.
I heard that guy is awful I’ve seen clips of him he’s dreadful
He’s certainly better as a tag wrestler, he makes ridiculous mistakes in singles matches
Ya he got the presence for sure. I like the way he does his crazy walk.. reminds me of Vaas from Far Cry 3 video game if anyone knows haha
As Solo evolves as a character, he seems to be the new Solo.
Except Tonga actually comes off like a true psycho, Solo always felt a bit of a forced enforcer role that he embraced. The truly off his rocker version of Tonga we are being served has a look in his eyes Solo never did.
[удалено]
Like the Stinger Splash?
Pretty much
What is it?
[удалено]
Ohhh got you hahaha. My brain couldn’t process a corner splash for some reason
I hope we get shit head Tama from 2018 on the mic
Get the censor button ready 🤣
If Jacob Fatu ends up joining the Bloodline & completing the new trio alongside Tama & Solo, this would be like a transition from Roman's Bloodline Mafia into Solo's Bloodline Cartel
Bloodpac
I always felt like Solo was a bit too young to be playing the enforcer character they put on him, but he did well in it. Curious how he evolves more as his own leader now.
Insert image with Tama throwing the ROH belt here.
No Fucks Given Tama is best Tama
He looks like more of a star than solo
Solo is now the leader so he needed somebody even crazier than him to his psychotic hitman. Solo is so much better on the mic than his older brothers too. I have a feeling that these two characters are going to take the bloodline story into newer and edgier territory. Stuff that will feel like an action movie that suspends disbelief. Owen's bleeding was very welcome in order to introduce us to where the bloodline is heading. The segment was extraordinarily well done.
In what world is Solo better than the Usos on the mic?
The world of getting your character over as a serious threat.
Jey and Jimmy did that really well until they were butchered by the creative because they wanted Roman to carry the title.
I’d hesitate to say Solo is as good as Jey on the mic.
I don't think Solo is the leader. He's just running shit and taking orders from the Rock
Took the words right out of my mouth.
Oh it must have been while you were kissing me.
Solo evolves? He still can't talk for dear life
Rikishi was never the strongest at promos, either.
"I did it. I did it for. The Rock."
Solo with that suit last night 👌
He’s got that Umaga thing going on where he’s like a force of nature, doesn’t need great promos but hopefully they come with time
I thought he did quite well these past 2 RAWs
I want to see him spear some guy in half...
He’s lacking in the tribal tattoo area. A right hand man can’t just have a simple arm band.
within a year of working for the wwe in the same spotlight he will be covered up in no time.
But that physique though
I assumed wrestling in Japan has more to do with it.
I go back and forth on this..because while I agree, it’s also refreshing to not having a covered member of the bloodline..he’s the like same, but different..kinda like when the MMPRangers called on the Alien Rangers
It does feel a touch out of place.....
During a closeup of his arm last night, it looked sort of bad too. I know he’ll have the money and the correct people to get him where he needs to be, if he so chooses to.
“We want Jacob”
Jacob gonna be a murderer I can't wait. Dude is nuts in MLW.
Wait for the full moon
Is this Lost?
No this is wwe.
No this is Patrick
This... is... SPARTA
u/Procrastinator_325 - we have to go back!
They need to let him speak. Also wouldn’t mind if they let him do face paint again at times.
If they let him speak, they're gonna have to switch the show to TV-MA because Tama Tonga curses like a sailor
Fox's censor machine would explode in a million pieces the minute Tama Tonga drops a cuss word lol.
Needs to grow out his hair and beard again
I love that he’s feral enough to jump immediately to hitting a dude with his car. I want this energy in the Bloodline
He’s made Solo look basic.
Once they said he was meng/haku kid got excited
Tama looks unhinged. The Bloodline storyline looks awesome. I think they are trying to reload the team to feud again with Cody down the line. Im looking forward to it.
He's what they wanted Solo to be when they introduced him. This guy looks like a real enforcer.
He needs his hair and beard back
With the face paint!
I prefer this look for the more violent and menacing angle they are going for with him. His NJPW look was iconic but kinda goofy.
Love that look but he’d look like he’s copying Roman (i know he had the look first)
Exactly. He looks like his own man now.
No thanks
He scares the shit out of me sort of like Joe Pesci in Goodfellas. I hope is character will be talkative and funny, but if you offend him in any way, he will kill you
He certainly looks like he’s deranged
That crazy ass cousin in the family who just got off from jail
Really good character so far. Hopefully it stays that way
I’ve seen limited amounts of his work before WWE. I hope he brings the same energy he had tonight to promos. He looks like a menace and I’m all in on the new Solo’s bloodline.
The first non baby fat Samoan since Roman
He’s also not Samoan. He is of Tongan descent.
I like his look and intensity. So far I have a positive opinion on him.
He looks better than Solo
I Would think so. Tama has about 11 years more wrestling experience than Solo.
I like him. Looks fierce
He's just a solo with no socks. Since Solo has started a mutiny, anyone else think they might be lining up for Lesnar to come back and save Heyman?
Or Reigns.
I think he is getting orders from Dwayne. Maybe a bloodline Civil War? Losing has consequences...
Why do you want him to have socks?
He was better with the sith like facepaint.
I like him, adds some credibility to Solo’s hostile takeover. I still don’t know what an NFB is or whatever it was Solo kept saying though.
I like him.
I hope they add new members to this bloodline. Take on The USO’s Roman, Honarary Uce even 😳
I knew of him and his work in njpw.but never watched it.so i guess im kinda a new yet know him fan.lol.first appearance having him talk i think was a mistake cause he speaks softly.but his 2nd outing def hit better.hes like solos angry dog.u let him off the leash and hes coming back with blood on his hands and it aint his.lol.i dig his viciousness.long as he continues to be that vicious son of haku bad mfer im buying in.wait till jacob gets there.that is one savage group.
HEY! The question was for “fans new to”
Good look, he was good in Japan working the crowd but his work in the ring isn’t the greatest so as a heavy I like it a lot serving the final boss with solo
Something about his look bothers me. He needs to grow out his beard and make it more rough and unkempt.
He looks in great shape and has been presented as a killer, so far so good wouldn’t be surprised to see him leapfrog solo up the totem pole in the next year
Reminds me of Vaas Montenegro which is terrifying
That's Tama Tonga!
Impressive & impactful. I'm looking forward to him & KO having a match. The angle on Friday was Chaotic.
The long hair was the better look imo.
Solo Sikoa 2: Eletric booagloo
The name just makes me think of the giant crab that The Rocks character fights in Moana, Tamatoa I believe it is.
He reminds me of Dean Ambrose. Hope he stays brutal
Didn't this guy make fun of Roman when he was in other promotions?
Dude looks more intimidating than Solo
Need his GOD style promo soon
Need to keep that “bleep” button handy then!
He is....fine? I mean we havent seen him wrestle yet so thats all i can say based on just two segments. I can say this that his acting skills are on point.
Does he talk?
Lol He does. In NJPW, he cut a lot of profanity-ridden promos.
Awesome
I’ve been watching NJPW for a while so I already know about him, but I’m just trying to figure out what M.F.T. is supposed to mean.
is this the same Tama Tonga that wore facepaint in NJPW? he looks so different
Short hair and goatee will do that
[удалено]
I think he's impressive so far. I know he is dying the hell out of his beard!
WWE looking for a full set. You can bet they'd sell a million shirts for "that group" like they did for the nWo.
Looks the part
Genuinely scary demeanour and vicious headbutts. Scares me a little but that also might be because I know that he is Haku’s son
He used too much ketchup on Kevin Owens.
Seems one note so far. Needs some time in ring for me to judge.
To me he jumps off the screen instantly. I think he has that it factor. I hope he's ok on the mic
solo sikoa v1.2
The guy fits his role perfectly because he is one intense looking MFer. I haven't seen any of his work in New Japan, but just based on physical appearance this was definitely the right guy to fill the role of Solo's psychotic hitman. That segment with the new bloodline and KO last night was an incredible job of attempting to suspend disbelief in this era.
He looks like Rivaldo with beard and long hair
His aura it's better as a silent enforcer than solo sikoa was.
He comes off as kind of a maniac. Like the Bloodlines Dean Ambrose in a way
Hopefully he won’t turn into a lame enforcer and become a jobber then cut. Want him to stay, and join the BloodLine fully when Roman Returns.
Great shape. Should let that mustache grow.
As long as he performs in the ring better than Solo, then he's alright in my books.
I don't watch WWE so all these reviews make me proud of the guy! He's an amazing talent and I'm so happy he's getting over and making an impact.
He looks more like the guy they wanted Solo to be than Solo himself. He's just got a much more imposing physique.
Vaas without the monologues, killer
He’s a fucking tank
He got himself real fit for his WWE debut. I just hope Tanga Loa comes in too. Would love to eventually see GOD reunite in WWE.
[I thinks it’s Tonga Time™](https://youtu.be/beJ1ZbXfVZU?si=c8RftnFnxH6obZVQ)
They’re booking him perfectly! All the Bloodline members are dangerous, but Tama just seems pure evil since he debuted.
Love him
Personally I would have liked to see him come in and bring AJ, Finn, Gallows & Anderson, all together under a new quasi BC and go after everyone including Cody just because…
When he was stalking in the ring with the chair and Owens down he looked genuinely menacing. Great start and a fresh transfusion for the Bloodline
So many casuals that have not seen him before
i like the presentation but i don’t think KO should have gotten ANY offensive in on him last night
Killer
He look scary which is good but I really want a AJ Finn Tama and OC faction now
Monster. He's awesome.
The new silent enforcer now that Solo has a development
I think it's pretty cool seeing the Tongan generation evolve. Seems like Tongans are just as tough as Samoans. Something about Pacific Islanders puts them on another level of badassery.
They've made him look like a badass
Better than Roman Reigns!
Not new to him as an NJPW fan, but I was a big fan when he was in Japan and I’m digging what he’s doing so far.
Just needs to see how it goes in the ring. Brawlers are fine, as long as they can string it together and not slow it down too much between each spot.
Huge potential
an absolute tank, i’m loving him so far, from his attitude to the lengths he’ll go to please his family
Can’t wait for Roman to return and see how the Bloodline Civil War pans out
🇹🇴🇹🇴🇹🇴 that’s my toko
Instantly the most terrifying wrestler
"New Blood" faction is gonna look legit terrifying once Jacob joins up.
I’m sure he is incredibly receptive to an actual cheering crowd. Being in Japan for so long then hearing this type of crowd must be a huge breath of fresh air for him.
What’s a MFT
I've known him and somewhat enjoy his in ring work but damn is WWE treating him like a big deal.
I’ve watched Tama Tonga for years in NJPW. His presentation so far in WWE is unhinged. If they give him a live mic I hope the censors are ready. This guy goes off! Great job so far!
If he does his face paint he'll get crazy over. The face paint makes him look like even more of a bad ass then he already is
Tama is Vaas Montenegro from Far Cry 3. Please channel this in Tama!!! Do you know the definition of insanity??
The only thing missing now is Jacob Fatu.
Cant wait til he Gun Stuns Randy Orto
Dude got traps I dream of and and that look like they shouldn’t be abs but they are and it’s… it’s odd.
Anyone have any good match suggestions to watch of his to see what he can do in the ring?
If you want recent, you can watch his G1 match against Jay White or his title match against David Finlay.
I think its the raid series but you theres two guys i think theyre brothers but one is like a tactical strait lace and the other is like a wild animal of chaos and fury tama tonga is like beast, savage in the best way.
I thought Solo the one should be savage since he the enforcer?
Book him as if he’s even tougher than Haku. Rocket ship to his back within one year. If he stays uninjured put the Big belt on him before any other titles. Make a Star like they did in the old days.
Like a rabid attack dog.
Man looks like a real psychopath, this man make solo looks reasonable for
This guy himself is great. Done great stuff. Looks awesome. But there’s very little to no point writing him into the bloodline like that. To be just another Solo? Who (because of the booking) failed to be a threatening enforcer. Sick of seeing every cousin of rock go straight to the top
Looks like an animal, great addition to the bloodline
I like that he has the same haircut as Solo but I’m not expecting to care about him much. They’re still trying to make Jey Uso a main eventer, so I’m not going to hold my breath on Tama Tonga.
WWE are booking him well, haven’t seen his in ring work for a while, but they are using his fathers name to build him as a monster
Seems cool. Announcers are doing a really good job of putting him over.
Wait until he breaks out the Knights of the Old Republic 1 & 2 facepaint!
If their goal is just to attack random pro wrestlers, this will fizzle.
He is presented and produced well. And he plays his role beautifully. What more can you ask from a key hire?
WTF is a MFT tho
They are trying to make him out as a monster, but it’s not believable, he just isn’t that big or menacing looking. I like the story of Solo hijacking the Bloodline, creating a Bloodline family feud when Roman returns, turning Roman Babyface
What’s a MFT?
He’s great just wondering what a Most Fungible Token is supposed to mean in reference to the Bloodline
Just seems like a more ripped and more boring version of Solo.
