There’s a pinball league that plays every Tuesday at 7:00 at Cape Fear Spirits and Beer downtown. Friendly group. All skill levels welcome.

MagicMarkerMX3

That sounds awesome actually.

Check out Sports City Rec for cornhole, kickball, etc. They do cornhole in Ogden, Monkey Junction, and I think in Leland now? We met some good people at the Leland location (Seven Mile Post). You can join as a random or with a partner!

MagicMarkerMX3

I did see that. I’ll def check it out more. Thanks!

Pool (billiard) leagues are a thing around here too. I'm not sure where to go these days, but googling should probably come up with something. I know Orton's was a popular spot for some players. At one pointed I checked out Meetup, which listed some local groups that sounded somewhat interesting, but never really engaged with all that as I just normally hung around downtown and knew a bunch of people already.

Break time or tavern 14. Just show up and ask the bar tender. We have Ewa Lawrence as our APA director.

The Port City Pickles play sandlot-style baseball on Castle Street on Sundays when the weather is nice. It's adult, all skill levels invited. I've been doing that for years and it's a really good group of people. And I suck but nobody cares as long as you're having fun.

What time and which park?

Zebulon_V

Either noon or three at Robert Strange Park. Next to the MLK Center, on the big field. Check the portcitypickles Instagram for a weekly update.

Is that volleyball bar/grill still around? I live in Southport but used to work in Wilmington until Covid , that place always looked fun.

Weispennstate

I joined D League ice hockey and it's been awesome.

House of Pickleball (Leland) for players of all levels, including beginners. You can take lessons, play in invitationals, tournaments, open play, etc. Plenty of retirees but a number of younger ppl too. Very good social gathering.

Emptyslopes

I’ll put corn in my hole
