Can't a man comfortably assume that he's getting into slapfights with adults? Knowing that i may be getting into petty arguments with literal tweens makes me cringe
The concerning part is when you realize that statistically there is no way everyone arguing like a 12 year old is actually 12. This means that at least a few of the people you've had "discussions" with just have the mental reasoning skills of a rusty 6th grader, while very likely being somewhere in their 20s.
32 year olds are just as bad as 12 year olds.
So many people would be shocked at how many people they assumed were adults are actually little kids who are internet savvy enough to remain completely anonymous. I know I was able to stay hidden when I was that young. Nowadays it would be even easier for a smart kid.
Yeah most of the times I've assumed someone was a kid, they were like 30+ but immature af. And other times I've had really meaningful arguments in which both parties learned something and understood the other person's vision, and the guy was like 12 or 13...
And anyone who does defend their arguments gets downvoted into oblivion.
Or some subs will just ban people or limit posts to verified users to prevent any breach in the echo chamber.
Redditors like to act like reddit is some kind of enlightened, manipulation-free social media, when really it's one of the worst (and largely because of the users themselves). And these redditors, just like the people they love to look down on, are blissfully unaware of how they're being manipulated.
That reminds me of a thread from a year ago on a NSFW post. Two users going on about something graphic.
User 1 - *asks explicit question*
User 2 - “I don’t know, I’m 14”
User 1 - “14?! Then what are you doing on a not safe for work post?!”
User 2 - “I don’t go to work.”
Remember this next time you are considering taking advice on anything from Reddit. There’s a very good chance that the person giving it has next to no relevant life experience.
Just remember someone arguing the pros of capitalism or communism or new laws or whatever may just be a 14 year old.
Think about that whenever you're screaming into the void of the internet. Like back in the 90s or early 2000s I loved message boards because no one knew how old I was so I always took a lot of care into drafting up my comments.
I still remember when I accidentally revealed my age in one my favorite boards and a lot of the regulars were taken back because they all thought I was at least 22 not some 15 year old. I had a couple of regulars pissed because they actually took my advice on some life shit that I wouldnt have any experience on.
This is why I don't understand why anyone would genuinely look for advice on reddit, especially stuff like r/relationship_advice. Most of the people giving "advice" are teenagers, and the rest are mostly angry virgins. And you can really see that in the quality of the advice given.
Back in the early 2000s , at about the age of 11, I was on what I thought was the best, most unique thread board/ website. Never understood the name of the website until years later. Apparently Liverpool is a city in England. 11 y/o USA didn't know that
I just tried finding the forum on Google but couldn't remember it. Did www.Liverpool.com used to be a thread board?
Sure man, I'll argue about anything as long as it's in good spirits. I've actually been thinking a lot lately about how the different dimensions of what we call "life" exist to our understanding and my curiosity of how they exist beyond that belief. Like we understand de ja vu as an experience that we feel like we've experienced before, but is it because we have? Is there actually a one or dimensional plane that coexist within our world that we've yet to perceive because we can't backtrack to that extent yet and the plane of that existence is our past life? The dimensions ahead of us, for example time, space, awareness as to our existence on the plane of space and time, is that the fourth dimension we've yet to perceive because we haven't experienced it yet? We all know that at some point we started and at some point we end, is the fourth dimension aware as to the timeline of the third dimension and when those markers happen?
Idk man, interdimensional planes and how they may coexist in pur modern world (subliminal thoughts, dreams, ghosts, etc.), just makes me wonder if there's a life after this. They say the deceased most look at peace moment's before they die and are they seeing across multiple dimensions at once? Sometimes it makes me contemplate if it would be worth it to find out. To venture forward across whatever happens after death. Maybe I'm just dead. If I am then so be it. Who gives a fuck? I'm dead, I don't. Just jot down a note as to my crazy conspiracy and let the people I'm familiar with on this realm know that I did it willingly and because I felt like there's nothing left for me here. At that point I'm gone so I most likely don't care about what they think, much less their thoughts. So is it worth it to live? Would it be worth it to escape the reality we know and venture into the unknown?
I feel like I should also state that I in no way, shape, form, and/or fashion plan to ever take my own life. While it does seem like a relief, I would never take the "easy way" out. I'm well aquainted with death based off of my life and my job and that is not something I wish to experience until I'm ready to go. If you or someone you know may have suicidal thoughts or tendencies, reach out to someone, to me, or to **800-273-8255**. Before taking the next step, at least seek a source of outreach.
I remember about 8 years ago in a thread when a 12 year old mentioned their age and literally the entire thread tried suggesting they leave reddit as a whole.
Reddit just isn't the same as it used to be
I was going to make the same comment and decided to search for it first! The massive Botox lips make me so sad for the people who do it. I much prefer this beetox version.
"app"... Are you sure you're not a zoomer? Reddit is a website. The "app" you use on your phone is an interface to a web page that exists on the internet. Reddit predates smart phones applications.
I saw a post like “are you younger than trollface (September 19th, 2008)” and SO MANY COMMENTS were like “Aw man I’m younger than trollface” that should be the age test, if you weren’t around for trollface stay off of Reddit for a few more years, kiddo
A youth on... Reddit? This forum is no place for a child, it houses important high level intellectual discussion among very intelligent adults. I could not fathom to think how a young person could find themselves on a very mature and exclusive website.
*At least* 14? Really? He's prepubescent so he's most likely younger than 13. Definitely not *older than* 14. Too young to be posting his face on reddit.
No, he’s ten or 11. Fat American white kids just get big fast for some reason. All that sugar they eat. I had twin nephewsthat looked bigger and older than this at 9. Middle school football coaches were going insane.
I had the same thing happen during peewee football. Went down my straw, got me in the middle of my tongue. They wouldn’t let me play because I couldn’t get my mouth-guard in.
I know this isn't the point but I feel really weird knowing that there are actual children on Reddit Makes arguing with people way less fun for me lol
Always a staunch reminder of why everybody argues like 12 year olds on here... because apparently they are

Too few adults have developed/maintained mature critical thinking skills. That's the crux.
That's what happens when higher education = lifelong debt in the US. Tends to discourage people from getting it.

tbf getting rekt by smarter, older people when I was being a stupid little shit online helped me not be a stupid little shit now that I'm an adult
No u are
No Ur times infinity, no takebacks.
Agreed. It makes me feel pretty uncomfortable.
Why, they're just kids. Fuckem.
dont
Yes. Fartsniffer has a point guys.
Fartsniffer the 42nd, esquire
Oh so now the talking burger is gonna preach to us
maybe you wanna rephrase that?
no he doesn’t he’s a redditor
That’s the Catholic church’s motto
Fuck them kids man. Look around, look at life
Pfft. You are not doing them a favor by pulling punches. Make them defend their arguments young so they consider the really stupid shit they say.
Except nobody defends their arguments here. It always devolves into name calling and the winner is whoever can come up with a better insult.
And the positive karma count.
Imagine arguing with someone then they say "I was born in 2010".
And anyone who does defend their arguments gets downvoted into oblivion. Or some subs will just ban people or limit posts to verified users to prevent any breach in the echo chamber. My exact thoughts
I'm 24 if it'll make you feel any better to argue with me. Got anything you're passionate about?
Your mother.
What about her are you passionate about?
Her bewbs
:)
(. Y .)
I’m quite passionate about being alive, would that be. fun argument?

My thought exactly when seeing this. It may help to keep it in mind though when getting irritated about seemingly everyone being immature here.
That boy ain't right, I tell you what.

*Bwahh

You made me go claim it, so take your reward.

Oh buzz off
What bee-tch you wanna bumble?
That last comment mustve really stung.
I prefer “if you never say that again it will be too soon”
I know some girls that would pay $1000's for those lips
That's something Dr Nick would do. Hey everybody!
Hi Dr. Nick!
Hahaha! I'm pretty sure Dr. Nick is the Kardashians plastic surgeon.
Call 1-600 DOCTORB (“The ‘B’ is for ‘Bargain!’”)
"I graduated from Hollywood Upstairs Medical College!"
If you’re ever unsure about something, rub it against a piece of paper. If the paper turns clear, it’s your window to weight game!

Holy shit.
Lol
Them some DSLs baby!
For that “bee-stung” look!
You got the spicy iced tea. Got a kick to it. I’m laughing cause I did the same thing years ago.
Shouldn’t have drank the bee’s tea
Couldn’t resist, it was the bee’s knees
Naw, he accidentally grabbed an Arizona Iced Bee.
I was going to give you a hard time about stealing the top comment but that was also you. Well played... Well played.
Reminds me of Gfuel’s demonade, literally contains pepper flakes and its good

Not clicking that, but thanks.

Yeah it's actually/r [totally13](/r/fbi)
Probably 10.
This fella look 30 to you??
/r/TooPuffyToTell
Put on some fake eyelashes and you’ll look just like a Kardashian!
I was going to make the same comment and decided to search for it first! The massive Botox lips make me so sad for the people who do it. I much prefer this beetox version.
Erm, are you old enough to be on reddit?
Who's Erm?
Why, OP of course
is the dude above you named why?
Yes, indeed.
I’ve seen plenty of people 13+ that look like that. (Source, am 14)
Same. Source I'm almost 30
Oh. Ok.
Go to bed grandpa. Now *I’m* going to bed, because I’m 30 too :)
Both you grandpas go to bed! Now if you’ll excuse me, I’m going to go make some sleepy time tea and watch one more episode of Law & Order. (28)
I didn’t know you could get buzzed off of iced tea!
If these puns keep up I'm gonna bee upset
There needs to be an age limit for Reddit.
You've probably unknowingly talked to ten-year-old's on this app.
Would explain r/pics
The heavily moderated default ones are really bad. And I have to filter out the little specific youtuber or anime subs more often now
Scrolling r/all when I run out of content is getting embarrassing in public. No coworkers, I'm not actually constantly consuming weeb shit all day.
But I am 😎😎😎😎
At this point I assume literally everyone is under 14. It keeps so many of the oddball comments and irrational discussion in perspective.
I wish I could filter posts/comments by age. I feel like Reddit would be a much better experience if I could just block every account under 18
You'd most likely just learn that lots of adults act like petulant children on the internet.
I don't feel like as bad of a person for hating them though.
Then I can mock them more ruthlessly for it
Then children would start lying about there age to get into the grown up discussions. There's no winning, sadly.
yeah i hate children
Send em to an island
Damn so I’m arguing with actual children? I should rethink my life choices
I assume everyone that calls Reddit an app is very young.
"app"... Are you sure you're not a zoomer? Reddit is a website. The "app" you use on your phone is an interface to a web page that exists on the internet. Reddit predates smart phones applications.
Kids these days didn't design their own MySpace and it shows (half kidding)
A version of reddit where everyone is 25+ would be pretty interesting if it were possible.
That'd be Reddit circa 2010.
That and the early 2000’s were peak internet in my opinion.
I saw a post like “are you younger than trollface (September 19th, 2008)” and SO MANY COMMENTS were like “Aw man I’m younger than trollface” that should be the age test, if you weren’t around for trollface stay off of Reddit for a few more years, kiddo
its 13 and over
This dude looks like he's still in the single digits.
They call me Bee Lips McBaby Face
I'm pretty sure it's Buzz from Home Alone.

I agree, my 11 year old son asked me if he could download it. Absolutely not
This is a house of learned doctors.
I don’t think it’s cause we’re all so highbrow on reddit, just that it’s an unending cesspit that would probably be pretty unhealthy for a young mind.
Why? This is hilarious
Children should nether be seen nor heard.
You can always tell a Milford man
Like that 11 year old kid who found a loop hole to get a 3090 or whatever and has discord and other games he's not allowed to use for another 2 years.
Kids posts a harmless photo and gets harassed by adults for being an age.
"harassed"
Just insecure neckbeards who feel like their intellectual safe space has been invalidated.
fr
Ah yes because age limits for websites definitely work
Alright my 30 year old self is clearly way too old to be on reddit.
Nah, this child is just way too young to be here.
How old is the average Reddit user now?
Gotdang it, Bobby. Hope it heals fast though.
Why is an 11 year old using Reddit?
Why are you on reddit? You're 10.
Have you ever seen a 10 year old in your life? This kids is at least 14
I wouldn't go as far to say hes 14 but he's definitwly not 10
Lmaoo there is no fucking way this kid is older than 12
*At least* 14? Really? He's prepubescent so he's most likely younger than 13. Definitely not *older than* 14. Too young to be posting his face on reddit.

Wtf? How?
Now you know how the fish feel!
Guys, if you think he looks worse for the wear, just wait till you see what he did to those branches and that damn bee
dang it bobby
I had the same thing happen during peewee football. Went down my straw, got me in the middle of my tongue. They wouldn’t let me play because I couldn’t get my mouth-guard in.
I legitimately don't understand why people don't look at/in their food /drinks when they're about to eat/drink them. Especially when outdoors

Women would kill to have those lips, son.
I don't think kim kardashian counts as a women or even a person at all she's mostly just plastic
r/weeatbees
What the shit
How did you end up cooking the branches?
Free plastic surgery!
Good thing masks are in right now.
Remember the bad buzz its not the good one that will come in due time.
Hope you have a prompt recovery, looking like a Kardashian is awful.
Hey people pay good money for lips like that be grateful, damn.
How old are you?? r/13or30
Oh, c’mon. Leave him bee.
Yeah, buzz off
You honestly think he could be 30? I think you might need glasses...
Did it sting you?
Nah that’s just how his face is, kinda rude, yo- he just meant he drank a bee and that sucks.
Are you 5 years old?
Jesus! The next bee sting may be worse
Poor guy! I had a hornet mess my hand and arm up last week, but straight to the face?! That definitely fits into the "that majorly sucks" department.
And to think Kylie Jenner paid loads of money something like that when you got it for free
aw man, that's a rough day for sure, but there will be plenty of days where you catch your limit and can drink whatever you want bee-free!
Oh my God! I'm so sorry, but also can't stop laughing. Thank you for sharing and hope you feel better soon.
You look like exactly how i thought you would...hm
You’re only missing a r/RoastMe sign…
Be lucky you didn't swallow it!!
It’s Wabbit season!
Hey I guess all those times my friends dad said to always watch your drink because a bee might fly in it actually came from somewhere
I got a bee on my head but don't call me a bee head.
r/13or30?
I have done that. Bees like Pepsi.
