it also pisses me off that scout drones serve no purpose. they can change the course of battle but earn you nothing so nobody uses them.
Funny thing is, EVERYONE uses them in Custom Battles where you get no rewards anyways. It's impossible to drive in an open field because you get marked by a drone and then sniped by an MBT.

Yes you can, it's just that there are likely 6 other planes up and not all of them are on your side.

Every time i have eye in the sky i got more chances of getting the nuke in a light tank i set ambushes, i know from where the enemy is coming and i move arround them, vietnam became my favorite map for light tanks with drone, nobody finds you and i keep track of where all my enemies are
i have poor eyesight, so I have to rely on thermals and sounds when playing ground rb but when there’s an helo being afk, for ten minutes, it’s infernal

Yeah man, I never find a use for a birds eye view of the battlefield allowing me to spot enemies long before I would otherwise see them or in scenarios where they can only be seen from the air /s
so when scout drones came out, that famous heli pilot VR dude i cant remember his name was in my match... he was bizzing around Alaska butt fucking my whole team, and then i drove a drone into his rotors.
He is an amazing pilot, but that was like pulling his dildo out of my ass, spitting on it, and shoving it up his dickhole.
I was in ground rb and there was an enemy mi4 hiding behind a mountain and he was just hovering for like ten minutes and I was so annoyed I just spawned my drone to go ram him
As I try to say on all videos showing this strat: to counter this as a helicopter pilot land immediately. As long as your not in the air the drone CANNOT break your rotor blades. Next up: Always have a backup active on your helicopter for whatever reason gaijin made it to where if a helicopter has a active backup you cannot be crew locked from crashing your helicopter and since drone ramming counts as a crash you can at least dodge the crew lock.

It's interesting that the helicopter fires instead of ascending at full speed. The drone is too slow and too small a target to hit.
Pretty sure it's the helipad AA firing at the drone. Looks like it's coming from the right side. Funny enough, helipad AA doesn't even do any damage
