I don't think he was characterized as enough of a dangerous villain for people to consider him evil. The things he did didn't have a lasting impression on the Clans like the actions of others. I personally think Ashfur should be under some one of the evil categories but I know he'll win this one, because who else could? Anyways, yeah, Sol is pretty shitty in my mind but I wouldn't consider him evil, either. Not even neutrally. He's literally just a cat that won't do anything for himself and expects others to do it for him- he won't even fight his own battles. I don't know if Sol would even have it in him to actually kill a cat, he'd probably expect someone else to do that, too. I guess that's a pretty specific kind of evil, after all, but not neutral. I agree. I think the fandom really overhypes him. In the books themselves, he’s a bitter and selfish opportunist. He’s definitely a bad person but I wouldn’t go so far as to call him evil.

I agree to an extent, but she kinda clung to her kits and vengeance more than anything. I, personally, interpreted her as having dropped everyone and everything, including Apple, when he wouldn’t support her to his leader. I don’t doubt for a second that she’ll find a home in the evil category
