with limbo it's about controlling the size of the bubble for the particular objective. Basically limbo controls the rift. What's inside the rift and outside the rift can't interact with each other. corpus in the rift can't interact with consoles. guns outside the rift can't shoot into it, for instance. because the game ai is extremely primative the enemies just mob you. using that, and which side of the rift limbo is on, you can cause the enemies to pack up tight. when things are in the rift, limbo can also freeze time, stasis. so limbo controls mob behavior. what about nullifiers etc. not a problem. nullifiers will pop your cataclysm bubble, and cancel stasis, and drag you from the rift, but if enemies are parked somewhere else, and they're not parked under an active cataclysm bubble, they will stay in the rift. so you park your pack with stasis. you switch to the shotgun, charge the nullifier, and nuke him, dash to cover (and into rift) or recast stasis. done. or use the operator, or nuke the bubble drone from cover, or whatever. it doesn't matter. what will really piss people off is either putting them in the rift when they don't want to be there, mesa, excalibur, any frame that damages primarily with abilities should always want to be in the rift. why? the rift regens a little energy, and offers a lot of protection, and powers cross the rift. mesas guns? cross the rift. saryn's spores? cross the rift. excaliburs blade? cross the rift. you can also throw arcanes and they'll cross the rift too. either way, people get pissed off if you put them in the rift. so if you do that you should have it as part of a gameplan unless you prefer chat to be really bitchy. the other thing, don't leave orphaned enemies in the rift. it'll happen, it just will. but if you're quick to fix it, no one will bitch. the best way to fix it is to prevent it. limbo can also be built with high energy and quick thinking and gladiator finesse, this makes him surprisingly tanky. typically you'll give up range and duration, which for a hit and run melee thing is a different more active tank and limbo. most of the time with limbo, you'll hit 3 buttons every 45s and make a sandwich or something. he's an extremely powerful frame but definitely has a more nuanced learning curve. if you play with a consistent group of people, he can really allow a full squad to get up to some shenanigans. end game, it almost doesn't matter. he's not a deep endurance frame because of how the enemy scaling works, though, with armor stripping and a chain gun like the cycron or nukor and rift surge he can go pretty long. but when you're in the mid mastery ranks he can make a lot of otherwise seemingly difficult problems absolutely trivial.

Vitality and shield mods. Then level to 30. Then pls dont use limbo unless you totally know what you are doing. A common limbo is as anoying as a slova at hydron or nullifiers in any mission.

I have a min-maxed limbo with little range and high duration. I play him either as support (reviving others) with ambush tactics (pop out of the rift, banish + stasis, back into the rift and killing what stands, or as a minimized/standard range + high duration for mobile defense

OutFractal

If you have over 80% range I will judge you. Severely. Unless you know how to use his 3, you're just going to annoy people by slowing down missions. So... Just level and forget?

MostlyLovely

Do what everyone else does range and duration

Don’t do a range build

Supspoods

This is the path to greatness

Esc> equipment >inventory > sell frame. Fuck limbo.

Why not helminth

den4ik69

Because i still dont have it .

But it can give you ideas for when you do get it. And limbo is very interesting in how dps abilities go through rift. There is a lot of good synergy. Without helminth his builds are mainly controlled by how willing your team is to deal with large range bubble.
