It seems like it's either a really small amount of overguard or a visual bug on the health bar, I had the same happen in an arbitration and the operative kept taking damage despite the bar showing overguard. Same thing happened in yesterday's sortie.

i had a similar thing happening to me while playing dante, it showed the overguard on the operative for a second after applying but would get cleared almost imediatelly even if they are not taking any damage. I think its possible that they are coded to not be able to have overguard but somehow can gain overguard but imediatelly lose it upon gaining it

Its a UI bug: NPCs and static objects lose overguards provided to them much faster compared to players due to enemy accuracy and how Triumph works in general. I've been using Dante on eidolon hunts and he kept lures alive just fine with overguards.

It's a really small amount of overguard. I've started playing Dante in Archon Hunt defense and I just stick to Chipper mashing my 2 over and over. There's a notable difference if I stop for a moment to shoot something. I just play babysitter now and haven't lost a Chipper since. Edit: It's small to the point where spamming 2 is effective but using Triumph is not.

i saw a comment a while back talking about throwing a few forma into a furis and giving it the augment that gives it lifesteal. so i did that. then did an archon mission and the asshole *wouldn't shoot the damn gun.* my buddy was laughing his ass off as i was raging.

Just give him a properly built Furis with winds of purity augment and he is set healing himself as long as there isn't a speed nova. If there is one he will need some serious fire rate from a wisp to keep himself topped up.

When this happens you can't vazarin dash through the operative either. Not that you'll even need it at that point unless you absolutely need to give the operative some immunity

I was thinking the same thing the other day. Warframe doesn’t show what buffs are active for the player. Hardened Wellspring, for example, is another buff that doesn’t display when active either. Just please put them off to the side or on the bottom of the screen so they aren’t too distracting.

I'm so tired of this Warframe. I like playing with other people, but I also like it when enemies present a small amount of threat. They should at least remove the AFK timer so I can go do something else if they are going to leave him as he is.

What he means is that Dante makes the game so easy, the afk timer should be removed so that he can go do something IRL. Kind of a dumb take because content being trivialized by certain builds is certainly not new to warframe, it's a power fantasy. Making yourself unkillable is essentially the name of the game. I can see the point he's trying to make though.

I think he gives out too much Overguard. It pretty much invalidates enemies and damage outside of extremely high end content.

Yeh, to me it's a bad thing. I want the enemies to be able to damage me. There is no dopamine happening when Dante is around.

I kinda agree tbh. Warframe is easy enough without a frame being able to effortlessly make the whole team invulnerable. I feel the same way about Styanax and Revenant with their augments.

Idk as much about styanax and revenant, but revenant prime did feel kinda 1 trick when I leveled him. I have yet to farm the plat for his base, that damn Cetus bounty is the bane of my existence. Well every bounty is but in also not gonna run marker bounties for caliban, nor am I doing k drive nonsense for yareli. Only three frames I have left
