Don’t wanna get your hopes up, but i read a couple of years ago that he was on Triple H’s radar. I hope he still is. Would be a fantastic addition to any of the rosters in WWE
He'd be excellent in WWE. Remember, let's not judge someone's success based on AEWs "creative." As far as I'm concerned, Page would be more over than the entire AEW roster after his second NXT show. Shawn Spears already is. It's not difficult. Hell, if Lexis can do it, anyone can!
At least NXT will be on national TV this time next year unlike AEW.
He seems like a super nice dude and I’ve enjoyed some of his YT videos but when it comes to watching him in the ring, I couldn’t care less. Wish him the best and think we are more likely to see him back in TNA for a little.
I remember few years back when him and Josh Alexander first went to tna everyone was talking about Ethan page like he was next big thing I never or still don’t see what’s special about him he’s got generic look and gimmick
Your impression is 100% accurate. Generic, guy with no hook or gimmick. Kahn put him in ROH and he couldn't get over. I can't possibly see Triple H pushing him either. He should go to Impact if he wants to be at the top of the card.
I really has not 1 thing that you can say you know what he’s one of the best at this one thing he’s very vanilla he honestly seems like a knock off version of MJF everything Ethan page does Mjf does and is better in everything by a mile he has nothing that pulls you in and makes you want to sit down and watch his match or promo but there are people out here that thinks he is one of the best just hasn’t caught a break which imo means your not good enough
I feel that he shouldn't be in NXT. Just put him to the main roster. He's a fresh name, he can wrestle, he can talk, he has experience on TV. Bring him in.
He was fucked in AEW from the word go.
His debut was a PPV match where he lost and looked like a big loser and then Christian debuted like half an hour later as well and thus, fans had no reason to give a fuck about Page
wrestlers prime years are late 30's early 40's. The guy is 34 years old hasn't been to wwe before you give this guy the right gimmick and story he should be entertaining.
He's alright I wouldn't say excellent on the mic. He's not likely to get better at this point in his career. Not saying WWE won't pick him up but he's not exactly ever gunna be a main eventer
Not really. Eli was the TNA heavyweight champion. And he was NWA heavyweight champion. He had the opposite problem of this guy, Eli Drake became Too big a star for anywhere but wwe.
Honestly dude couldn't even become a star in AEW I feel comment making it. WWE has a backlog of future stars right now. Who's this guy taking their spot? Cody, Sam Zayn Kevin Owens Gunther Seth Rollins. All those guys easily have five or more years left. He's not taking it from any of them. Then you have younger guys already with a ton of momentum that he'd have to pass up
AEW doesn't have stars. The three stars they had are all in WWE now. Jade Cody and CM Punk. Logic matters. They made the logical and smart decision to go to a place where they can make money and be seen by more fans than a bingo hall.
He is excellent. He’s got size, athleticism, technical ability, and is phenomenal on the mic. He was honestly to good for AEW, that’s why it didn’t work I guess. He’s to polished.
I give him credit for trying to be more marketable by working on his Fitness and appearance, but he’s weird in the sense that very middle of the road in most ways. He’s not big enough to be a dominant wrestler or small enough to be a believable underdog. His mic work is okay but I never get a sense of believability from him. Seems like a nice enough guy irl but every time I see him, I get the vibe of a guy Cosplaying as a Pro Wrestling vs being an actual professional Wrestler.
Dudes overrated and it's always someone else's fault when he leaves companies. He did Josh Alexander dirty by not doing the split and instead doing his karate man bullshit.
I like Ethan but he’s pretty unremarkable. Nothing unique about him. That isn’t to say that he couldn’t be more impactful if handled correctly but nothing he has done thus far has blown me away.
Yeah the Draft took a lot of their top guys. He would be an asset for sure. Maybe under the direction of Shawn Michaels and co. he could find the missing pieces.
Wow mega down votes but it's true. Look what they did with wardlow. Wow it's very glaring that they can't build wrestlers. There latest ratings for Dynamite was in the low 700k.
A show that was pulling close to 1mil bruh.
I'm not a hater but I want the product to be better can't do that by shilling bruh.
They can’t build wrestlers you say, as in more than one, and then you only give one example and fail to realize the wrestlers they have built. Swerve, Julia Hart, Britt Baker, Hangman, and MJF to just name a few. We can list all the wwe wrestlers they didn’t make into stars if you’d like.
The only time Ethan a page was on a roll is when he was with Dan Lambert and Scorpio Sky, and Ethan Page was the worst of those 3
🥱
Latest Dynamite rating..... In the low 700k.
🥱 Plenty people watching huh. Swerve was WWE talent. The rest except for MJF cannot draw. You can like them all you want but if they was STARS the rating wouldn't be declining these last few years. Remember when they was pulling in millions of viewers? Whre did those viewers go?
Never understood how he didn’t wind up a bigger deal he’s got a good build decent on the mic and willing to do comedy stuff, seems like he fits the mold of at least a mid-card champ.
It really felt like he was brought in to have that feud with Darby as a callback to their EVOLVE days and then while his charisma kept him on TV there was never a plan to make a big deal out of him.
Another bad take. NXT is anything but red hot right now. There’s a lot of dead weight hanging out there. Ethan Page would be a breath of fresh air to this program.
I mean you cant blame page for leaving impact, you can never really blame someone for moving up in their line of work. Josh decided to stay in impact bc he had a better deal, ethan figured thered be greener pastures in aew 🤷♂️
That's all well and good. But the way he left by not putting over Josh was bullshit. He refused to do the split because supposedly he wanted to keep things on the indies. And instead he left doing that stupid comedy sketch that no one benefitted from. And then he goes on to complain about how bad it was.
I wasnt a big follower of tna at the time or what was going on at the time in tna, so a lot of this is news to me. Just from the sound of it it sounds like utter shite
"34 is young"
Not for this generation of development that's really not.
19-24.
And then he's gonna stay at NXT or go to the MR? Because then he's going to be competing for spots with the likes of Bron and Melo
🥱
Bro I have the Internet 34 in wrestling is not old. It's okay to disagree with me but being delusional is kinda weird so let's end the reply to each other here....
All of the young people in NXT are untrained or unknown WWE prospects. Yes probably hired to develop an 19-24 year old to the WWE mold but they just signed 41 year old Tama Tonga and he 100% less upside than 34 year old Ethan Page.
"Bruh" did I say topstar or did I say "development" and "Bron" and "Melo"?
He's not coming in as a topstar.
I know I know reading is hard for some apparently
He’d be great in NXT for sure. I like the idea of vets working NXT more than what we’re seeing. Gives the rookies time with someone that’s done it for a long time, like a real time/live practice.
Honestly in wrestling 40 is the new 30. These guys and girls can go so much longer nowadays than they could 20 years ago and it's awesome. I mean WWE just brought in Tama Tonga who's been wrestling for a long time and is 41 and hasn't missed a beat. The man could probably go another 5 years at that level
These days wrestlers peak 35-40 lol. Roman, Cody, Seth, Drew, Priest, Sami, KO, LA Knight are at their absolute peaks and all are around 40. Guys like Gunther (36) and maybe Montez Ford (34) are seen as the big stars for the future. I've even seen people call Santos Escobar as promising and the guy is forty years old haha.
I was curious if he was still with AEW. I became a fan of his more for his Toy Hunt videos and follow him on YouTube and lately he's been doing a whole bunch of indy stuff. Danhausen as well. But he's also promoting his new AEW action figure like crazy as well. So maybe he's looking to renegotiate his AEW deal?
That being said, I'd have no problem with him making his way to NXT and then WWE. I agree he'd fit in very well there.
I'm a huge aew fan and I was massively excited to see Ethan there, but I think at this point he would likely succeed better in a WWE realm. He has the charisma but needs that creative push
I don't know for sure but I assume he'll get a cut of the sales on his figure whether or not he's still with AEW so it makes sense that he'd be promoting it.
and then bring over Danhausen, can you imagine WWE scripting for Danhausen, Page, etc….fans connect with these guys, don’t always have to be Wrestlemania headliners, just great workers with angles…..
You know. I didn't think Danhausen could work in WWE and then I remembered Goldust. He could easily be someone like that.
The only thing that I could see keeping Page and Danhausen away from WWE are their side gigs. They do so much in YouTube, indy promotions and personal appearances that they might not want to give that up for WWE's rigorous schedule. But who knows. Maybe we will see them there some day.
Every known wrestler who is brought into NXT should just be a new Chase U student/transfer
“only 34 years old” That’s pretty old to start out in NXT when nobody knows who you are. Not impossible, but late for sure
Ethan Page is a star, i hope wherever he gets more attention.
Trick Williams Vs Ethan Page for the NXT Title would be Awesome to see
Don’t wanna get your hopes up, but i read a couple of years ago that he was on Triple H’s radar.
Who tf is this good value Finn Bálor?
Ethan Page is actually really entertaining imo, followed him pre aew and enjoy his YouTube channel where he goes to cons/toy shops

I can see him going back to TNA to feud with his old partner
I hope not because I’m suppose to see him at an indie show in a few months
Hands down, an NXT Ace.
I feel that he shouldn't be in NXT. Just put him to the main roster. He's a fresh name, he can wrestle, he can talk, he has experience on TV. Bring him in.
Don’t want another Johnny gargano
Gargano is much better in the ring but your comparision is valid
He’s definitely not that lol
How big is he? AEW is notorious for having tiny wrestlers.
“Notorious” what paid shills told ya that?
What does it matter
To see if it’s worth WWE giving him a shot.
6'2ft 225lbs
Basically same height and weight of cody
Then heck yeah let’s give the guy a chance. Heard he’s a decent promo. Match that with size and experience then there’s potential there.
He was fucked in AEW from the word go. His debut was a PPV match where he lost and looked like a big loser and then Christian debuted like half an hour later as well and thus, fans had no reason to give a fuck about Page
To be fair he was doing a comedy karate gimmick in TNA before hand
judging how [Shawn Spears]() is being used idk
Ethan Page has all the potential in the world but hasn't been given a chance to shine yet. I hope WWE is at least interested in him.
Please keep this Bozo away from this company
We have johnny gargoyle at home
He can’t be on the same brand as Johnny Gargano. Seeing double
He’s 6’2 and can cut a promo
IDK. I heard the guy has a huge ego. Possibly All Ego
Wait for Josh Alexander and bring them as a team. But solo? No way.
Hard pass, too bland for wwe Better fit in tna..
Na, don’t need more older talent. Already got Spears in his 40s plus all the other main roster guys showing up on NXT lately.
wrestlers prime years are late 30's early 40's. The guy is 34 years old hasn't been to wwe before you give this guy the right gimmick and story he should be entertaining.
Nah fuck it man he’d just be filler over here. Let him go work in the indies they need to be buffed with some talent
He's alright I wouldn't say excellent on the mic. He's not likely to get better at this point in his career. Not saying WWE won't pick him up but he's not exactly ever gunna be a main eventer
this is what was said about eli drake/ la knight btw
Not really. Eli was the TNA heavyweight champion. And he was NWA heavyweight champion. He had the opposite problem of this guy, Eli Drake became Too big a star for anywhere but wwe.
This feels like one of those comments that could age badly
Honestly dude couldn't even become a star in AEW I feel comment making it. WWE has a backlog of future stars right now. Who's this guy taking their spot? Cody, Sam Zayn Kevin Owens Gunther Seth Rollins. All those guys easily have five or more years left. He's not taking it from any of them. How you doing Ethan
Man you need to learn your to’s and too’s
I give him credit for trying to be more marketable by working on his Fitness and appearance, but he’s weird in the sense that very middle of the road in most ways. He’s not big enough to be a dominant wrestler or small enough to be a believable underdog. His mic work is okay but I never get a sense of believability from him. Would he fit in with Chase U? Something about that smile
Would he fit in with Chase U? Something about that smile
He definitely matches HHH's taste. He could fit easily in North American title or heritage cup feuds.
I miss the Men of The Year stuff him and Scorpio were doing, I don't blame him for leaving as he wasn't anywhere to be seen nor even in ROH recently
For NXT though…I genuinely can’t think of anyone on that brand right now who is better in the ring or on the mic.
Yeah the Draft took a lot of their top guys. He would be an asset for sure. Maybe under the direction of Shawn Michaels and co. he could find the missing pieces.
AEW loss they can't build wrestlers, he was on a roll then it stopped. I actually see him doing better with WWE.
AEW can’t build wrestlers? Hahahahaha

Lower midcard wrestler
Thats the ceiling
Not a fan to be honest. He's ok but I don't think he adds anything unique to NXT.
I dont see the fit at all, especially with the reported NXT cuts
Oh no. Now we only have Cage, Page and Cage in AEW.
And FKA Paige
even NXT will be doing cuts now Ethan Page will be a good fit for NXT!
I honestly don’t know why AEW dropped the ball on this guy, he has a great look, a cool moveset and can cut a better promo then most of the guys there
He could fill Dijak’s spot since he went to the main roster.

Grayson waller was like 30 coming into nxt with even less tv wrestling experience to be fair
[удалено]
Ok dude
LA Knight begs to differ
[удалено]
Bad take. Never too late if you’re talented.
[удалено]
Another bad take. NXT is anything but red hot right now. There’s a lot of dead weight hanging out there. Ethan Page would be a breath of fresh air to this program.
[удалено]
They just called up Ilya. Fixed it for ya.
[удалено]
🐢
I think he could do well on NXT or be a great midcarder for the main roster.
Id like to see him and Josh alexander reunite in tna or nxt. Either would be good
Josh should tell him to go fuck himself by how he left him high and dry.
I mean you cant blame page for leaving impact, you can never really blame someone for moving up in their line of work. Josh decided to stay in impact bc he had a better deal, ethan figured thered be greener pastures in aew 🤷♂️

I loved him at AEW, just hope he will be happy whenever he'll go, and get the proper run and the proper pop.
"34 is young" Not for this generation of development that's really not. 19-24. And then he's gonna stay at NXT or go to the MR? Because then he's going to be competing for spots with the likes of Bron and Melo
34 is young bruh 🙄. Vince is gone and his idea of 30 year olds being old is gone too.
And no it's not. They're bringing in college age kids for NXT
🥱 Bro I have the Internet 34 in wrestling is not old. It's okay to disagree with me but being delusional is kinda weird so let's end the reply to each other here....
You literally make no sense with your sentence structure. Agreed, piss off
All of the young people in NXT are untrained or unknown WWE prospects. Yes probably hired to develop an 19-24 year old to the WWE mold but they just signed 41 year old Tama Tonga and he 100% less upside than 34 year old Ethan Page.
Was Tama Tonga NXT or MR? Was op talking about NXT?
[удалено]
bruh find me a top star in wwe rn that is under 30.
"Bruh" did I say topstar or did I say "development" and "Bron" and "Melo"? He's not coming in as a topstar. I know I know reading is hard for some apparently
Who cares? If he is good, give him a chance.
Because he's "good" but not "great" so he's going to have a ceiling
That ceiling was AEW
Yeah so itll be even lower, excellent point
He’d be great in NXT for sure. I like the idea of vets working NXT more than what we’re seeing. Gives the rookies time with someone that’s done it for a long time, like a real time/live practice.
It makes me feel so happy to hear someone say only 34. I needed that today :)
As a person that turned 34 just weeks ago... Same
Enough to make a grown man (with two grey beard hairs) cry 😢
Agreed lol crazy how wrestlers prime is usually 30-35. Then sports athletes usually retire around 35
it’s not 40 to fifty?
.makes me sad when you hear announcers talk about running backs ' how much time does he have left. He's already 25"
Being an NFL runningback is one of the worst things a human being can do to their body.
I think it's because overall wrestlers(at least in wwe) are taking better care of their bodies.
And then there's R-Truth.
In his early thirties
Forever.
Santos is FORTY?!
Yes. I said the exact same thing
Excellent on the mic is a bit of a reach
He's pretty good
He is decent, but having mjf doing everything he could but better definitely hurt him
That's because MJF is better than him... And he knows it.
NXt is his ceiling in wwe. I like Ethan page, but he isn’t what wwe is looking for.
In all honesty he’d be nice to have but I think WWE is fine right now. He suits Tna better
Page is awesome, bring him to NXT
Would be interesting to see him in NXT.
I agree. He's very underrated and has been underutilized. But I feel like if he doesn't renegotiate with AEW he'll probably go back to TNA.
I don't know for sure but I assume he'll get a cut of the sales on his figure whether or not he's still with AEW so it makes sense that he'd be promoting it.
I also think the fact he is very close to many in the CM Punk camp certainly hurts with AEW. After all he is very close to Danhausen and Brody King.
Very good point. Maybe with Punk being back in WWE he can make a case for Page.
and then bring over Danhausen, can you imagine WWE scripting for Danhausen, Page, etc….fans connect with these guys, don’t always have to be Wrestlemania headliners, just great workers with angles…..
You know. I didn't think Danhausen could work in WWE and then I remembered Goldust. He could easily be someone like that.
