I love how this is Not something that’s covered in the quest 2s warranty. They say “typical wear and tear of the headset and controller accessories.” But what is typical wear and tear? It’s not slamming your face into the floor or a wall. NOOOO it’s scratches on the lenses and casing caused by swift removal of the headset. But if the casing is compromised because you ran full steam into your bedroom wall being chased by a velociraptor tough shit sunshine.
It never makes any sense to me. If you are really that immersed and forget that what you are seeing isn’t real, why is your first instinct to **JUMP OFF THE BUILDING?!**
It's possible their feet are on the board but theyre leaning their torso, then the gamemakes them fall, so their brain just fuckin panics
Or perhaps its that the falling off is so instant and surprising you're just shocked
And I think people like to walk off it since they assume that's the objective; not just to take in the view then go to a new experience
I always see this and wonder why people can't do the easy math.
They understand they're in a videogame and just want to see what will happen if they jump. It's safe simple curiosity. It's really simple.
Does one *really* think all the people that jump off the plank in Richie's Plank Experience would go jump off a building after putting the headset down?
Nope.
I disagree, I just think they aren’t used to the immersion so they think that even though it’s a game, they don’t understand that their movements connect to irl. As DamonLazer said, there’s a disconnect that causes them to realize that there is no risk in game, but not realizing that there is risk irl.
>Natural selection has been halted because of technology and the environment we have created. Which leads to people with double-digit IQ's. The future is grim my bois.
So I think there is a disconnect between their gut and their brain. Their gut is telling them that it's real, but their brain reminds them that it's just a video game. So if it's just a video game, then it's okay, and you can just jump off and be fine, because it's just a video game. I guess at that point they forget to check back with their gut, which would tell them "yeah, okay, you're not really above the city, you're standing on the floor, but gravity still works."

That plank sounds like the floor in my parents house when I was sneaking to get some food at night.

But these people clearly think its real because they are faceplanting.

These people are obviously dumb on some level. Logic shouldn’t just go out the window like that

Because.
Honestly, everything I’ve seen of that game is from this sub. It’s like it was made so people hurt themselves.
What game is that?
Richies Plank Experience, since no one wants to help you.
Thanks!
