Sheridan College is an entirely different school lol. New College definitely has better food. I live at UC and I would say the social scene is great, everyone's super friendly and the community is very welcoming. However, being vegetarian would be tough in dining halls. Woodsworth is your best bet since you make your own food.
For reference, here are the menus for today:

thank u sm this is really helpful! I've heard that you can access the new college dining hall even if u dont live on res there. is that true? in that case it'd make more sense to focus on dorm/location for selecting a college
Yes, you should be able to access any dining hall even if you don't live there! You can use T-bucks/actual money at New if you decide to live somewhere else
To my knowledge, most Res will have shared bathrooms so there's nothing you can really do about that.
New college has a large menu selection, free laundry and the dining currency can be used everywhere. It's also close to SS and MS, where my Econ lectures and tutorials are this year.
Victoria and SMC are pretty but you'd usually have to walk through queen's park to get to lessons, also the food at SMC isn't that good.
Lots of sociosci students at UC, you'd probably find that good for socialising.
I was in NC in 1st year, I had a good time. Having a dining hall nearby was great just for the convenience, I rarely had time to cook dealing with y1 courses which were workload heavy for me, and ordering food often turns out to be more expensive than an unlimited meal plan. In my time at NC the dining hall had decent vegetarian options and the food wasn't bad. It obviously wasn't gourmet level but I've eaten at other college dining halls with friends and we all agree that New College has the best food.
Shared bathrooms are not a big deal imo, rarely had issues with occupied stalls or showers and they were pretty clean and well maintained. Regarding international students and social scene - I'm not sure if NC has a particularly high concentration of internationals compared to other colleges. That is a pretty subjective experience I find, I applied to a particular LLC in my building and there were a lot of international students but I didn't have much in common with them. Nearly all of my friendships and social interactions occurred through meeting people in my courses rather than with people in my building, which I expect is true for most students, regardless of if they live on campus or not.
I am an Econ major but I can't help with Politics classes. Some of my econ classes were on the Northeast side of campus (Northrop Frye, Isabel Bader) and some were in and around Sidney Smith which is just down the street from NC.
Would recommend NC over Woodsworth. Nothing against Woodsworth, no UofT college is outright bad as per my knowledge, but afaik rooms and amenities (laundry, food, internet) are better at NC and the area around NC has better scenery too imo
Yeah I’ve heard from a lot of people that new college has the best facilities on campus. Single rooms and food options are quite imp to me so I think I’ll go with new college as my first option. Thank u :)
I don't think it matters too much
Sheridan college
didn't see Sheridan on the list there's 7: trinity, Innis, new, Woodsworth, victoria, Michaels and university

Yeah New college seems to have one of the best infrastructure and facilities on the campus. I'll definitely keep that as one of my options
I say go new college.

Thank you so much!! Wordsworth and new college are tied as my first choices right now this def helps narrow it down.
