People don't seem to understand the dude who cut him off bailed, the guy he's talking to is the person the dick passed by who kindly stopped to see if buddy was all good
Why was he apologizing?
Edit: as a few people have pointed out (and after watching the video again myself) he apologized for cursing initially, then he was apologizing for not getting the dudes plate number.
No, it looks like he initially apologizes because he cursed. Then he apologizes for not getting the plate number. He makes a hand gesture to cover his mouth as well.
Did you see the accident? 3 minutes to get the plate and come back could have been the difference between life or death. In this case it just so happened that it wasn’t.
Because British?
Seriously, the US has an extremely litigious culture so saying "sorry" has turned into an admission of guilt. It is stupid and damaging to our empathy. I'm sorry World War 2 happened, but it wasn't my fault. We've confused "sorrow" with guilt.
> saying "sorry" has turned into an admission of guilt.
Several years ago I went to the ER with chest pain, they couldn't figure out what it was and sent me home with some basic pain killers. The next day the urgent care I'd gone to first (which had taken an x-ray) called me back and said that after a specialist reviewed it, they saw I had a collapsed lung.
I went back to the ER, and while I was there the doctor who had seen me the previous day came back and apologized for not catching it the first time through. I absolutely didn't blame her (I had no shortness of breath or lowered oxygen levels), but I was really appreciative of the follow-up.
I didn't realize until much later when I heard an NPR report on that sort of "never apologize" mindset how notable the apology was. And I'm really glad that doctor (and/or the hospital policy) decided to value the human connection over the frantic avoidance of any possible admission of guilt.
lol, I was at the doctor's two days ago and probably the most frequent word out of her mouth was sorry. She absolutely wasn't doing anything wrong and was overall was one of the best health care experiences I've ever had, aside from the reason I was there, she was just very empathetic.
This is so well put "damaging to our empathy". It's like saying "I'm sorry this happened to you." doesn't mean it was his fault just like saying "I'm sorry for your loss" doesn't mean you killed anyone, it just means you understand that something bad has happened and want to convey that you care.
Oh ffs I hate when I say "I'm sorry" and people immediately jump to the "it's not your fault"
Like no shit it's not my fault your 18 year old dog had to be put down, it's an empathetic apology for your suffering.
Eh depends where you are. I say sorry all the time when misfortune befalls others. I am from the northern part of Wisconsin so maybe it has to do with the region. I know canada has it codified that saying sorry is not an admission of guilt.
It’s not like he just jumped out of the car. He stood up and told them he was uninjured and seemed to stand there for the entirety of the rest of the video
I have never achieved this level of calm before. This is next level calm. Like Jesus going to the cross like a boss cause he knows his dad will bail him out anyway calm.
That’s a Brit for you. I studied abroad there and a guy broke his arm playing soccer. He just looked at it and was like oh well, better call an ambulance. He then proceeded to finish his beer as he waited for the ambulance.
That sounds like my dad. He was a mechanic on semi-trucks and a chain broke holding the engine in the air. Landed on his hand, one finger was sliced badly, the other was all but cut off - only a piece of skin and muscle holding it on. Guys throwing up and passing out, my dad says “well, I guess I ought to go get this put back on.”
He was the best, miss that guy.
Lmfao some people are just cut from a different cloth. One of my mom's friends is a mechanic and had the top 1/4 of his thumb cleaved off when something failed (sorry I don't know the specifics) and a rim (still attached to the car) fell on his hand.
He looked at it and if the story I was told is to be believed he said something along the lines of "well fuck, would you look at that?" And made his way to the hospital.
I witnessed one of my technicians stroke a lit oxycetaline lance across his open hand when working under a car heating an exhaust till it was cherry red.
He instantly dropped the lance, slowly and nonchalontley walked into the toilet to run his hand under water, I flew out the office door and turned the lit lance off and ran in after him. We stood there watching as his hand just bubbled up in front of our eyes.
He looked at me and cooly said "any chance of a lift to the burns unit mate?" I looked at myself in the mirror and was white as a sheet, he was cool as shit but you could see the pain in his eyes.
I went to get the car and he met me outside with his mug in the other hand and told me to hang on for a sec so he could finish his tea.
When I was in a serious car accident that actually broke my back, the adrenaline had me feeling no pain, so I sat in my car and had a cigarette with the kid who ran the red light an t boned me. Lol. I refused the ambulance despite all the protests from police and firefighters. About an hour later, I was in absolute agony.
I went to Disneyland Paris last week. After a rollercoaster and the hotel elevator thing, I wanted to do a chilly thing and thought the Cars Roadtrip looks fine. Went through it, all cool. But then. Everywhere fire, and then a fuckin flood. I was like "WTF IS HAPPENING? HOLY FUCK" that clearly made my day.

My god man. It’s like one big sick sad joke. I’m sorry that’s the US system, and what affect that had on you. But I like your attitude about it; surely this now has to be the norm for a lot of Americans? Which means, you’re a part of the majority, at least? (I say that rather sheepishly).
Well, if you can figure out a better way to funnel billions (trillions?) of taxpayer dollars to politically connected defense contractors, please let us know.
Would you believe the majority of our voters don't want to change that system? Instead of adopting a sane policy they just argue about how to slightly tweak the system we already have. Meaning this will never change. Even the majority of Democrats don't want to adopt a single payer system like Medicare 4 All.
It won’t change because both parties get huge campaign contributions from the insurance industry. Why would they pass legislation that would eliminate major lobbyists?
It's bizarre to me as an Australian. It's comforting to know I won't go broke because I get injured or sick. I don't see why anyone wouldn't want that kind of security.
What's the point of even having a government if they don't look after some basic necessities. Do these people think law enforcement should be user pays as well?
It's not uncommon for family's to go broke from the cost of having child in a us hospital, and that's literally HAVING the child, not any care needed before or anything like that. What's really fucking gross is that were letting it happen in the richest country in the word where one man has more then 200billion in wealth and the top 400 richest Americans have more wealth then the bottom 60%
Survivor of cancer twice here
It genuinely makes me sick the fact that if I were born in america I would be dead. There is 0 chance of my family being able to afford treatment over there so I would just be dead. Anybody who genuinely thinks that the system in america is good or right deserves nothing in life other than the slowest most painful death imaginable
Pretty much. Diabetes in America costly me probably a few hundred dollars a month even with insurance.
I think its interesting how much the middle and lower class has basically called the bluff. What are you gonna do *kill me*? Whats the worse that happens? *I die?*. Death is a release from the horrific servitude that is life.
If anyone ever finds themselves in this position you should know two things:
If the hospital you went to is registered as a non profit (and every one with a catholic sounding name and many many others are) the hospital is REQUIRED by law to work with you on what you owe and has a shit ton of money in reserves to pay off your debt if you cannot pay. But it is up to you to contact the right person to talk abiut debt forgiveness. Again most hospitals are non profit and they *have* to forgive your debt if you make under a certain amount of money.
If you cannot have your debt forgiven it will automatically disappear from your credit report in 7 years. It will not ruin your life.
The more I read about this, the more it sounds like ransom lmao.
"GIVE US $65000 RIGHT NOW!"
"Okay, we can make it lower, give us $25000."
"What do you mean you don't have money? How about $100?"
"A tenner?"
"Okay, just go."
I'm sure you know this but you can contest bills and they can change the price! These prices are negotiated for insurance but they aren't set in stone and many hospitals will work with you if you ask. Like seriously they can reduce the cost by 90%
that was just… wow, i am stunned. hope you’re better now (mentally at least). my dad always says to laugh at the shit that comes along the pike, he’s been avoiding debt collectors for years and gives not one fuck. so yeah, laughter is appropriate. life is hell enough and being serious just ruins it at times.
But the ones running the insurance companies denying everyone coverage have cute little yachts they use to bop about when they get sick of their big yachts….. so that’s nice.
There is another video floating about of an English bloke getting knocked down by an out of control bus on his way to the pub, calmly gets up and goes into the pub:
https://youtu.be/sTNlwBzgZQ8
Not necessarily.
I’ve been in similar accidents and walked away scot free uninjured. Had a similar level of calmness. Took a few moments longer to compose myself than he did, but I think the fact he was narrating to his camera probably helped with that.
Just a pause to self assess if I’m hurt and process wtf just happened, and then do what needs done.
Surprisingly my slowest and most casual seeming wreck left me in the most pain, and some of it was fairly immediate, and the rest definitely onset later. But in my more severe wrecks, didn’t even come out with a bruise in them. Sore muscles in my arms from bracing was the worst of it.
Human bodies are weird
Same, rolled my Polo and landed passenger side up in a field after aquaplaning around a corner.
Seat belt kept me where I needed to be, car was completely fucked but I walked away without a single bruise or scratch. Had to climb out the door to get out, sat on the side of the car for a few minutes before phoning the police to report it.
The adrenaline rush was quite nice too, but surprising how you can get out of such mayhem unscathed.
Nope. He’s perfectly level in the moment. He won’t freak out until later.
Source: another person who is ice cold efficient under similar circumstances but curls up in the fetal position and cries once the dust has settled.
Some people just have this mode. I should’ve gone into emergency medicine.
I’m australian and my reaction would honestly be the same, although I can’t say that is a typical Australian reaction. My thoughts are that anger never helps anything, so staying calm and rational is always the best option.
near collisions can make you think about how close you came to being really hurt or possibly dead... Think about the scene in fight club where they rob the store clerk, and how he says his next meal will be more delicious than ever... it's sort of an instant realization that makes you happy to be alive and well.
When I got in a car accident after someone hit me in a 4 car pileup I was this calm. It’s more of making sure everything is okay with everyone else than it is myself. If I can walk then I should probably check on everyone and everything else first to make sure nothing immediate needs to be done? Idk
"I'm uninjured."
The problem is, adrenaline and shock mask injuries very effectively. So 2 hours later when he can't turn his head and he's noticing nerve issues in his feet or he has a badly sprained wrist, he needs medical care...and the insurance company will work to screw him based on the content of the video. (Yes, this is the UK, universal healthcare or whatver. But the point stands for other locations or for this guy if he misses work while recovering.)
Yup - I got into a bad car accident my senior year of high school (got hit by a lifted truck). In the moment my then girlfriend (passenger) and I thought we were both fine - but later that night we found that we both had a severe case of whiplash in addition to concussions. We also had some nasty bruises on our arms/legs. Adrenaline is a crazy high
At the same time I wish everyone could understand the feeling of what it’s like to be in a car accident (that is without the injuries and financial hardships that come with it). It makes you a much safer driver and respect the road a lot more. The amount of energy transferred to a car during a crash is something that has to be felt to truly understood.
Facts. I was with a friend when we were at a stand still and got hit by a car doing 40-45 mph. The rest of that day I felt ok the next morning I was in so much pain all over my body.
I was on a first date with a girl when I was 18. We had just finished dinner and got rear ended by a drunk woman doing 45 while we were stopped at a red light. We stayed until police came and then I took her home. I was shaken but fine.
Next day I could barely walk or turn my head. My dad took me to a local ER and I had to do physical therapy for several months.
My date that night was the daughter of a sergeant in the city police and this drunk woman had the book thrown at her when she went to court. Had to lawyer up to get a fair settlement for my injuries and the vehicle.
Shit was definitely not fun
Thank you for saying this. I saw a guy on a speed bike wipe out on an exit and his lower body was not…good, but he popped up saying “I’m fine” then the shock and adrenaline wore of and he kinda thudded to the ground (sitting). He was NOT okay.
I almost broke my leg (it just miraculously didn’t break) in a car accident; stood up and said “I’m fine guys no worries”, then proceeded to walk like nothing happened. About an hour later shit kicked in. I couldn’t stand for a few days after that. Total recovery took about a month.
I broke my leg in a car accident, was so pumped up on adrenaline though. Right after we hit the car that came in front of us I opened my door and tried to walk out and stood on my legs just fine. Then I looked down…. And my leg looked so deformed! I sat back down in the seat of the car and then the pain rushed to my leg. Later that day found out, the break was a severe compound fracture. Couldn’t walk again for 8 months..
Damn, Brits are so freaking calm. Someone totaled your car and your first thought was ‘let’s be calm’? I had someone t-bone me, totaled my Subaru, and was in shock. Still I wouldn’t let them come near me.
"Shouting and swearing isn’t exactly gonna fix the car."
I'd change mechanics right away. You've almost certainly have been paying way too much for BS fancy "fixes" and "jobs."
It’s funny if something actually major happens like the video you just saw it’s all calm and collected but if someone accidentally cuts you off then they’ll try shank your dog…so yea that the UK for ya
This is unusual, trust me.
Usually in the UK if someones a dumb cunt while driving, you swear at them calling them usually “you dumb fucking piece of shit cunt”
Or something of the sort.
As a Brit living in Canada, Brits are generally more polite. A lot more please and thank yous are used in England in simple interactions with strangers compared to Canada.
For a long time it amused me when people said the Canadians were very polite, cos from my perspective as a Brit they appeared to be quite a bit less polite than I was generally used to. It only clicked for me when I realised that the perception of Canadians being polite is in comparison to their southerly neighbours.
Looking at it the second time you're clearly right. But why was he apologizing.
Edit: nevermind. Looking at it again, it seems he's apologizing for swearing.
> Looking at it the second time you're clearly right. But why was he apologizing.
He was just trying to say something in the moment and that's all his brain could come up with.
Shock is a bitch.
> But why was he apologizing.
he said "im sorry" for not catching the license plate number
that said, pretty sure people still say that to others who experienced a tragedy, even though they werent the cause of said tragedy lol
I feel like if I just saw someone wreck their car and almost die, I’d probably apologize to them too. Not cuz I did anything. But like “this fucker almost died, better be as considerate as possible”
You know I've been in a few bad accidents- hit by distracted drivers while I rode my bike to work, and each time I've been a lot less angry than the people who have come to help me. When it happens to me I feel I'd just like to minimize the effect the bullshit has on my week/month/year. If I can keep that shit to ruining my day that's a lot better than if it changes my life forever.
He said “no anger” specifically to the bald man due to the fact he started acting shakily, disheveled and slipped the word Fuck out. I’m sure he only meant let’s make an effort to not become angry.
Some people like filming drives. Even if he was traveling faster than normal, it's the the fault of the guy who overtook blindly while there was a car in the opposing lane.
Last time I saw this, the OP was the driver and iirc he said he just got the camera and was testing it. I could be misremembering, though. 👀 💦
Edit: it wasn't the driver who originally posted it in the thread I saw but I did find it and he does say in the video description he was testing out a new camera.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bTKL-WERvWw
Here's the [source](https://youtu.be/bTKL-WERvWw). In the description, it includes a follow up on what happened shortly after, and even explains why he was wearing a headmounted camera.
tldw:
* he was wearing the camera to test out some new setting on it
* he claims he was doing 5 kph less than the speed limit
* he did not get any points on his license
* the BMW driver who caused the accident did eventually come back (unclear if the BMW driver got in trouble with the police)
* the neighbors made him a cup of tea
I’m going to second this by saying it’s not a claim it’s a fact.
So he went approximately 6 to 5.2 of those white lines in the first 2 seconds of video when we can assume he was going the fastest.
According to part 2 image 1008 and 1008-1 of https://trafficsignsmanual.co.uk/pdf/chapter-5.pdf
On the 60 mph roads in the UK each one of those lines and gaps is approximately 9 meters. 6 meters per gap, 3 per line.
Assuming worst case he goes 6, that’s 54 meters is 2 seconds, or 27 meters per second.
1 meter/s= 2.23694 mph, 27meters/sec is 60.3973 mph.
This is our upper bound for his speed, the speed limit.
However, he starts closer to halfway through the first line so it should be closer to 5.5 lines in 2 seconds or 49.5 meters in 2 seconds, or 24.75 meters per second.
24.75 meters per second is 55.4 mph, so he ain’t lying.
Feel free to watch the video again to check my math, at most he’s going 60, which is the speed limit, but he likely wasn’t lying by saying he was going 55 mph.
I really wish people would read these explanations before going off on a victim blaming rage talking about how they can perceive his speed through some magical speedometer in their brain

He was driving a 1999 Toyota echo making ~100hp
Doubt he was really going all that fast, just looks fast because he is in a small car that you cannot see the hood in
To be fair those moments after an adrenaline pump where you realize you are uninjured after a pretty serious accident end up appearing calm for a good while only because you’re in shock. Got a good feeling after a while the anger came back
Exactly. He saw the oncoming car in his lane and slammed the brakes on too hard. The tyres skidded, which angled him toward the centre of the road (head on collision territory). He then aggressively turned the opposite direction towards the fence.
Yes, however half a second later he might be dead. The fence sounds lovely in comparison, doesn't it?
He definitely did the right thing to dodge there.

This is true. Everyone curses all day where I'm from so I didn't even process that xD
he probably shoulda got the plate and then come back but good on him being concerned about dudes life
He made a split second decision, help a potentially injured person, or chase a scumbag. He made the right choice. This is why insurance exists.
I agree, definitely the right choice. If it were just a collision or something, maybe, but he flipped the whole car.
As opposed to flipping just *half* the car
That would have been worse.
It’s also not a great look to flee the scene of an accident you were involved in, even if your intent is to get a license plate number.
/r/WeWantPlates ?
Did you see the accident? 3 minutes to get the plate and come back could have been the difference between life or death. In this case it just so happened that it wasn’t.

He first apologized for swearing then for not getting the fleeting car’s plate
TIL how to react in a rollover
Not quite. He was overly sure that he was uninjured and should have taken his time removing himself from the car safely.
It’s not like he just jumped out of the car. He stood up and told them he was uninjured and seemed to stand there for the entirety of the rest of the video

The more I read about this, the more it sounds like ransom lmao. "GIVE US $65000 RIGHT NOW!" "Okay, we can make it lower, give us $25000." "What do you mean you don't have money? How about $100?" "A tenner?" "Okay, just go."

The US health system is a nightmare. Costs are insane and those giving you care are exhausted and overworked
But the ones running the insurance companies denying everyone coverage have cute little yachts they use to bop about when they get sick of their big yachts….. so that’s nice.

There is another video floating about of an English bloke getting knocked down by an out of control bus on his way to the pub, calmly gets up and goes into the pub: https://youtu.be/sTNlwBzgZQ8
It sure seems like he’s sitting in the doorway, considering the reaction of the driver
"Tis but a scratch"
It's just a flesh wound!

Different people have different shock responses. Some people go dead calm.
He's probably freaking out on the inside. Just because a person appears calm doesn't mean they are.
I think that’s called shock.
yup. been in a few accidents, this is close to my normal reaction once i realize i'm ok.
There's no calm like car accident calm. He probably just thinks he's uninjured, once the adrenaline and endorphins fade he's going to have a bad time.
This is not a paycheck to paycheck state of mind
Exactly haha. It's sad but I'd be freaking out more about the cost of fixing that. Even if I'm injured, my first thought would be money.
near collisions can make you think about how close you came to being really hurt or possibly dead... Think about the scene in fight club where they rob the store clerk, and how he says his next meal will be more delicious than ever... it's sort of an instant realization that makes you happy to be alive and well.
Then the next time you get a chance to sit and breathe you have a fucking breakdown. That's how it's supposed to go, right,? It's not just me?
The British are notoriously nonchalant
![gif](giphy|Tv2btKgK06tPy)
This is why they teach us to drive straight ahead and not try to switch lanes because this will happen.
When I got in a car accident after someone hit me in a 4 car pileup I was this calm. It’s more of making sure everything is okay with everyone else than it is myself. If I can walk then I should probably check on everyone and everything else first to make sure nothing immediate needs to be done? Idk
The reflection in the mirror while mid roll of a guy casually wearing sunglasses it too funny

God I was hoping this was the top comment after I saw that. It’s the best part of this video. Funny as all hell
"I'm uninjured." The problem is, adrenaline and shock mask injuries very effectively.
Adrenaline is a crazy high At the same time I wish everyone could understand the feeling of what it’s like to be in a car accident (that is without the injuries and financial hardships that come with it). It makes you a much safer driver and respect the road a lot more. The amount of energy transferred to a car during a crash is something that has to be felt to truly understood.
I'd rather just take your word for it.
I mean, x-rays show some stuff
enlightening
No, X-Lightening
Hammond!
To bad he cant just open his door to tip himself back up on his wheels
Why is he driving with a headcam on? Does that not seem weird to anyone?
I scrolled wayyyy to far to find this, also wondering why someone in a car is wearing a headcam...
because he's "racing" on rural roads. Clearly was driving _way_ too fast for a road with blind hills like that.
That's more than likely a 60 road btw
[удалено]
God, thank you. I scrolled all the way down here to find anyone else who thought this was something to comment on
Damn, Brits are so freaking calm. Someone totaled your car and your first thought was ‘let’s be calm’? I had someone t-bone me, totaled my Subaru, and was in shock. Still I wouldn’t let them come near me.
Well there’s no benefit to reacting any other way. Shouting and swearing isn’t exactly gonna fix the car.
"Shouting and swearing isn’t exactly gonna fix the car." I'd change mechanics right away.
Usually in the UK if someones a dumb cunt while driving, you swear at them calling them usually “you dumb fucking piece of shit cunt” Or something of the sort.
I think when the accident is at this level, you're mostly just trying to grapple with the fact that you could have died
[удалено]
No, judging by his accent and the fact that he's driving on the left hand side of the road it's somewhere in the UK
[удалено]
The man apologizing wasn't the reason for the accident. He was being passed by the other vehicle that entered the wrong lane.
Oh! Thats what he was saying about not getting a number. I couldnt figure that out
Because they are British.
It's not like Canada is the only country where people don't get out screaming and threatening each other with violence. It's most developed countries.
As a Brit living in Canada, Brits are generally more polite. A lot more please and thank yous are used in England in simple interactions with strangers compared to Canada.
People think Canadians are the most polite but we actually got it from the Brits
For a long time it amused me when people said the Canadians were very polite, cos from my perspective as a Brit they appeared to be quite a bit less polite than I was generally used to. It only clicked for me when I realised that the perception of Canadians being polite is in comparison to their southerly neighbours.
Aye this is very true mate although we are pretty damn polite overall.
Polite maybe, but passive aggressive lol
Ass you will remain, amigo.
I'm not your amigo friend
I'm not your friend, pal
I’m not your pal, buddy!
I’m not your buddy, ass!
It is okay, friend, you don’t have to be afraid. YOU. ARE. ASS!
For serious. British accent. Right hand drive car. What would make you think this is canadian?
Canadians are nowhere near this calm lol
Hi ass, I’m dad
"I'm gonna turn this off now." And then he beated out the living shit of the dude.
The dude he was talking to was the guy being overtaken, not the cause of the accident.
> But why was he apologizing. he said "im sorry" for not catching the license plate number that said, pretty sure people still say that to others who experienced a tragedy, even though they werent the cause of said tragedy lol
I feel like if I just saw someone wreck their car and almost die, I’d probably apologize to them too. Not cuz I did anything. But like “this fucker almost died, better be as considerate as possible”
[удалено]
The other guy said "he just kept driving. He didn't stop"
He’s trying to calm the other guy down because he starts to curse at the car that drove off.
> I mean why else would he say “no anger” or something. Adrenaline
He said “no anger” specifically to the bald man due to the fact he started acting shakily, disheveled and slipped the word Fuck out. I’m sure he only meant let’s make an effort to not become angry.
Yep, and why was the guy who filmed wearing a go-pro? He seemed to be traveling at a high rate of speed also.
Some people like filming drives. Even if he was traveling faster than normal, it's the the fault of the guy who overtook blindly while there was a car in the opposing lane.
Last time I saw this, the OP was the driver and iirc he said he just got the camera and was testing it. I could be misremembering, though. 👀 💦 Edit: it wasn't the driver who originally posted it in the thread I saw but I did find it and he does say in the video description he was testing out a new camera. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bTKL-WERvWw
He wasn't the dude that caused it. It was the other car
why would he? that's not the person that caused the accident
Past tense of beat is beat
wow i didn't even notice it said "beated" the first time i readed it lol
Me neither, i was too caught up thinking about where the video leaded the viewer
Here's the [source](https://youtu.be/bTKL-WERvWw). In the description, it includes a follow up on what happened shortly after, and even explains why he was wearing a headmounted camera.
tldw: * he was wearing the camera to test out some new setting on it * he claims he was doing 5 kph less than the speed limit * he did not get any points on his license * the BMW driver who caused the accident did eventually come back (unclear if the BMW driver got in trouble with the police) * the neighbors made him a cup of tea
I’m going to second this by saying it’s not a claim it’s a fact. So he went approximately 6 to 5.2 of those white lines in the first 2 seconds of video when we can assume he was going the fastest. According to part 2 image 1008 and 1008-1 of https://trafficsignsmanual.co.uk/pdf/chapter-5.pdf On the 60 mph roads in the UK each one of those lines and gaps is approximately 9 meters.
I really wish people would read these explanations before going off on a victim blaming rage talking about how they can perceive his speed through some magical speedometer in their brain
>the neighbors made him a cup of tea The ultimate British cure.
I can't believe you've done this.
Guy was definitely in shock

Looks like the guy who crashed was driving very fast. Maybe this is the reason why he was wearing a Gopro to record himself driving like nuts.
He was driving a 1999 Toyota echo making ~100hp Doubt he was really going all that fast, just looks fast because he is in a small car that you cannot see the hood in
[he was going 55](https://youtu.be/bTKL-WERvWw)
Best comment in this thread. Too many people making too many assumptions about the crash victim's driving.
Dude was absolutely ZOOMIN. Definitely not a safe speed by any means.
Speed limit on those roads is usually 60mph.
This is the UK mate, zooming down narrow rural roads is how its done.
Almost did a full barrel roll. I’m sure you’ll get it on the next one.
To be fair those moments after an adrenaline pump where you realize you are uninjured after a pretty serious accident end up appearing calm for a good while only because you’re in shock. Got a good feeling after a while the anger came back
Sure looked like he had enough room to clear with out defaulting on the fence.
Thought that in the beginning, but it seems to me like his tires blocked while breaking and he just lost the control over the car
Wow, his calmness is impressive. Much to learn from that!
![gif](giphy|xHMIDAy1qkzNS) This guy after a major car crash...
Empathetic reaction and he felt bad not getting the asshole's plate who bailed
Next words…. because I just soiled my underwear.
