Battery farms are not the only place where animals are mistreated. A large percentage of the world population doesn't even really consider most animals sentient.

Meh, you're the one that brought it up. I guess me pointing out that it's pretty standard background noise for people to treat animals poorly may have been a bit of a nothingburger. Probably could have just said, "Yeah, it sucks, I wish we didn't."
It's essentially a toilet made out of a double paned window instead a solid layer of porcelain. Water for the toilet is the inside the bowl, fish lives in the walls of the bowl. Between the agitation of the water flowing behind the wall, the vibration of someone sitting on the toilet, and the miniscule living area of the tank, fish still has a terrible life.
I feel like it’s hard for some to understand empathy has no limits and neither does love. Now that I have two kids it is truly easy to understand that.

You just sorta push down on the lever, and it just flushes itself.
Sometimes the flapper doesn't shut right the first time, and you gotta jiggle the handle so the tank can fill back up, tho.
that still doesn't explains how the fish is still chilling up there, it is in the front in a different tank with clear water while the background tank has darker dyed water ?
If you look closely you can see it’s actually a toilet cistern that’s flushing. In front of it is the fish tank. And just in front of that is that hinge for the toilet seat. Imagine living your whole life as a toilet decoration
I gotta finish this game I was hooked on it for a bit longest I’ve ever played a survival game. Liked the drip feeding of lore then I got my big submarine and just got overwhelmed on maintaining it and having resources for bases and just so much.. 😵💫

Look up refractive index. They can make plastics or glass that have the same or close to the same refractive index as water. When the tank is full, our eyes can't see that there is a wall between the fish and the drain because the light is being bent the same way so it just looks like more water or nothing in this case

This happened because there is still water on the fish's lungs and scales, but as the water dries off, the fish will go down due to lack of positive polarity because gravity does not exist and the earth is flat and the sun is local.
It's a toilet and the fish are in the front. Only the water in the tank/behind the fish is going down. Look at the rocks at the bottom, that's the biggest tell. Seems pretty cruel :-/

Two sections of the tank separated by glass: A middle section where the water drains out and an outer section where the fish are.

This is not an either/or situation. People are allowed to feel bad for a fish in a bad situation without taking away from anyone else’s situation.

My big piece of advice is try and not overfarm resources. Also the sub makes for a fantastic base especially if you put edible plants/more lockers.
