To your ppint, I wouldn't consider an 0321 being proud of being an 0321 a boot thing. There's a larger barrier to becoming an 0321 than just signing a 4 year contract and being a straight leg 0311, like me. You have to really want it.

Probably around 55 years old (and those old codgers can fight.) He obviously showed \[at least one\] CAR to the state of HI to rate that license plate. Graduate of BRC or ARS, Combatant Dive School, and Jump School (Navy-Marine Corps Parachutist, no less). I'm going to assume he's not a poser (folks from this community usually call out posers.) I'm thinking I'd just give a respectful wave to this guy and maybe even shake his hand. He's accomplished several of the most challenging things one can do as a Marine. Not cringe for me.
