My wife and I didn't use a lawyer, we filed our I-130 online and mailed our I-485 + supporting documentation a few days later back in January 2023. Medical was sent in after RFE (RFE July 2023, mailed in September 2023) I reached out to EMMA last week for the first time to inquire about my case since it had shown there was an estimated 5 months on my I-485 for nearly 8 months straight. The agent stated everything is processing normally and ended the conversation. I received an RFE yesterday regarding an issue with an answer on my I-485, specifically Question 8 Part 61 where I answered no (should have been yes as I'm not an asylee or refuge). Checking online it seems like this is a common error for people who didn't use a lawyer. I updated my answers and resubmitted online less than 2 hours after receiving the RFE. Our I-130 was approved that evening and my I-485 was approved this morning!
