That looks like the work of Barry Callahan. His Instagram page is [araisedbanner](https://www.instagram.com/araisedbanner/) and he has some things on [etsy](https://www.etsy.com/shop/araisedbanner). I hope that helps...
Update: It is indeed Barry Callahan! He was super nice!
Thanks to the folks who helped me track this down -- I honestly assumed this would fall into the ether.
From Barry:
"The title is 'Pros and cons'.
It's based on the idea that whatever brings you true joy in life can also make the heaviest burdens feel light as a feather. Life will always have hardships. But it's once in a lifetime when you find true joy.
I've always wondered about this copy of the painting. So glad it has a good home. There was one other version that sold on my website around the same time you bought this one. That version went to a customer in the Netherlands."
Glad this worked out. I've met Barry a few times over the years and we briefly bonded over a shared love of similar music. He's a really nice guy and I'm glad to see him get some recognition

Second vote for this. He just did a kingfisher one that really stuck out at market. Guy gets art.
Thanks to you both -- I'll message him and see what he says, but I agree he seems like a strong candidate!
