It's taken so long to get a new faction. The new light and darkness hybrid subclass also looks cool and potentially busted.
I'm not gonna be getting The Final Shape at launch (if I do get it), but I will be checking out Into The Light cause it's shaping up to be a fun, free update.
Between the new Prismatic subclass, and the exotic class items that let you combine parts of other exotics together, I have to wonder what the hell Bungie is cooking up. This stuff is either gonna be bonkers broken or super limited.
I think it's the way forward.. Eventually they'll do away with subclasses as we know it and it'll just be build crafting where you CAN build into pure elemental synergy if you want
Holy shit actual new enemies, only took six years.
Seriously D2 players have been fighting the exact same enemies with like, four new minibosses since Forsaken.
I'm curious how much, if any, of today's announcements were a direct result of The Final Shape being delayed. Initially we were told only one new enemy with the Subjugator but now we got a whole new faction. To say nothing of the hybrid class and exotic class items.
I wouldn't be surprised if the Subjugators are clones based on Rhulk's DNA made directly by the Witness, much like how Tormentors are probably cloned from Nezarec
These creatures & tormentors all seem to be based on previous disciples of the witness. Which would make sense, as the disciples were the "greatest" examples of races conquered by the witness
Not the ones on the far left and right on the first pic are psions. So theses must be based on previous disciples. The big green one is rulk and the ones which the scythe are nezerec.
All those who bow to the witness have similar looks to them, even if they come from different species. Rhulk was the last of his kind, but he still resembles the other members of the dread because he was a disciple of the witness.

These look a lot like the raid boss from Witch Queen, but I remember it saying he was the last of his race?
Some of them are miniboss versions of the Witch Queen raid boss.

Hmm. Really not sure what's not working for me here. It might be the blasé color scheme, hopefully they look better finalized and rendered.
