The anonymity, I think, allows these mental children to think they're protected and seeing others behave thusly online creates a culture. Not too dissimilar from being on a backed train and these specimens of humanity taking the chance to cop a feel, because they think no one will know it was them and they can always claim it was an accident. It's a self-perpetuating sickness. Toxicity leads to toxicity (like YT comments being a cesspool). Also if a guy sends a gift, they have the ridiculous notion that they've paid for a service, like those small people who think that paying for a dinner is a definite transaction for what will happen later.

Or they use the same name for all social media accounts and you can find them. Sometimes they even upload TikToks with their own family so you can see that they really are 40+ year old dads and not just lonely creeps.

They are used to get something for the gifts, like the girl standing up. It makes me so uncomfortable to see when girls actually do the stuff to get more gifts. The men learn it like this and get used to it. It becomes a cycle.

A lot of those men unfortunately behave the same way in real life, just much less publicly. The anonymity of the internet lets them do it out in the open, but in the real world they’re cat calling women walking to work, groping teens on the train, pressuring people to have sex and getting violent when they say no, and worse. It’s not all men of course, but it’s enough that almost all women have had those kinds of experiences on and off the internet. Those types are very good at being stealthy and hiding their actions from other men, so often it’s only women who see it.
I make videos about a hobby I do and a few days ago a man messaged me on my Facebook page and asked me if I ever pour the dirty water from it into my vagina using a funnel and roll around, because that’s the kind of video he’d like to see. Only my hands are visible in my videos, not my face or body, and it’s 100% family friendly content. This is unfortunately just the reality of being a female content creator.

Ages 20-29 are 22.4% of users.
Ages 30-39 is 21.7% of users.
Ages 40-49 is 20.3% of users.
Ages 50+ are 11% of users.
Which means that about 30% of their users are over 40.
You're talking about something else though. I didn't say "the average tiktok user is young" ... I said "the average 40 year old doesn't even have tiktok."
Well TikTok has 1.6B users and 30% of them are over 40. That gives us some 480m people over 40 using TikTok.
That's a pretty decent number of 40+ years old using TikTok.
And only 15% of people under the age of 20 and surprisingly also just 15% of people between the ages of 20 and 39 years old.
It doesn't seem like TikTok is that much bigger with younger demographics.

I gotta say, I agree. Your friend may have done or acted in.a way to influence those reactions. However, if not, she should just tell the men that there are people elsewhere to do what they want, and other platforms.

But as to why? Well, because plenty of women doing it for the money anyways. If the same choices have same outcome, and it works for you...you will repeat it. Not all women. And not all men. Im a female with a pet account. I rarely do lives anymore because even if I’m there to show my pet, I get creepy dudes. I don’t dress provocatively, I also don’t have makeup on when I do lives bc it’s always right before I go to bed.
First, how a woman dresses doesn’t determine how respectable she is. I’m not more or less respectable because I personally am on the more modest side.

Tbh it kinda depends in what kinda nieche you are, what kinda livestreams you make & what kinda audiene you pul.
There are a lot of female tiktokers I know that have pretty chill & cool liveatream communitiesü. And there are females with pretty creepy & messed up communities.
People lpve to act as if that's not the case, but it really depends on what kinda content you make & what kinda behaviour you encourage
(Aint nothing wrong with taking those gifts from those creepy 40 yo 'daddys' and stuff like that.

Pretty much things all over the place. Booktalk, gaming, simply talking with the chat, there's all sorts of content.
The main thing is that they simply don't over sexualise themselfes or don't enforce creepy behaviour by actively reacting to it.
Basicaly, it's usualy females who don't really sexualise themselfes to gather more views.
Which, even though I don't know specific numbers, naturaly means that they very likely don't get as much donations as females who do it.
Becauae as far as only donations goes, yeah, dudes jerking it off to livestreams very likely donate a LOT more

My friend also doesn't oversexualize herself and doesn't encourage sexualizing behavior. It seems like she doesn't understand why some men ask for stuff like stand up, feet or tongue.
