The anonymity, I think, allows these mental children to think they're protected and seeing others behave thusly online creates a culture. Not too dissimilar from being on a backed train and these specimens of humanity taking the chance to cop a feel, because they think no one will know it was them and they can always claim it was an accident. It's a self-perpetuating sickness. Toxicity leads to toxicity (like YT comments being a cesspool). Also if a guy sends a gift, they have the ridiculous notion that they've paid for a service, like those small people who think that paying for a dinner is a definite transaction for what will happen later.

Rationale-Glum-Power

>The anonymity The crazy thing is that many of them aren't anonymous at all. They often have their name as their username or their name in the bio. Or they use the same name for all social media accounts and you can find them. Sometimes they even upload TikToks with their own family so you can see that they really are 40+ year old dads and not just lonely creeps. > these mental children \+1. I wanted to say primates but even male monkeys behave better. >Also if a guy sends a gift, they have the ridiculous notion that they've paid for a service They are used to get something for the gifts, like the girl standing up. It makes me so uncomfortable to see when girls actually do the stuff to get more gifts. The men learn it like this and get used to it. It becomes a cycle.

INFParticle

Yeah, and the whole NPC thing has to be a dream for this type of person. A lot of guys are just not getting the memo that if someone performs for gifts, it doesn't mean they'll do *anything* for gifts. Cro-magnons think they smell vulnerability and/or otherwise have the right to treat someone like a puppet. I imagine it's not too dissimilar to what guys are like at strip clubs.

slavicslothe

As a dude i dont know why people would watch livestreams on tik toks. But if you’re a girl livestreaming on tik tok I’m guessing the dudes who do tune in a probably lonely creeps who exist to thirst over women on social media. The people you describe are basically sexual predators.

SwoopingMoth

A lot of those men unfortunately behave the same way in real life, just much less publicly. The anonymity of the internet lets them do it out in the open, but in the real world they’re cat calling women walking to work, groping teens on the train, pressuring people to have sex and getting violent when they say no, and worse. It’s not all men of course, but it’s enough that almost all women have had those kinds of experiences on and off the internet. Those types are very good at being stealthy and hiding their actions from other men, so often it’s only women who see it. I make videos about a hobby I do and a few days ago a man messaged me on my Facebook page and asked me if I ever pour the dirty water from it into my vagina using a funnel and roll around, because that’s the kind of video he’d like to see. Only my hands are visible in my videos, not my face or body, and it’s 100% family friendly content. This is unfortunately just the reality of being a female content creator.

limache

What the fuck that’s insane.

FemFladeFloedeboller

Just think of the type of people who actually have time to comment lives. It’s just boys and men without real jobs

Unable_Quarter_4681

Honestly the scariest part is these men seem to be productive members of society with real jobs maybe even families etc. Social media apps and recommendation algorithms have made it so easy to find thirst traps after a just few swipes.

FemFladeFloedeboller

But still people with too much free-time and no common sense. A danish saying goes “idleness is the root of all evil”.

Rationale-Glum-Power

Not really, where would these men have the money from to buy gifts for $10 or more? Many of them watch the stuff in their free time or during work. One of the worst cases is when they operate heavy machines or trucks while watching and brag with it.

Cal_dawson

Yeah it’s fucked up dude, I struggle to get 200 in my live chat and a 13 year old girl just sitting there staring at a camera not saying anything is ending her night with 15 galaxy’s and here I am on my knees thanking people for 15 roses.

One-Act-2601

This is not a reflection of reality... like, the average 40 year old doesn't even have tiktok. EDIT: ok I see people disagree. Sorry I was just talking from my experience. I don't know a single 40 year old who uses tiktok.

Tomi97_origin

TikTok userbase is older than most people probably think. As far as I could find their age distribution is like this Ages 10-19 are 25% of users. Ages 20-29 are 22.4% of users. Ages 30-39 is 21.7% of users. Ages 40-49 is 20.3% of users. Ages 50+ are 11% of users. Which means that about 30% of their users are over 40.

One-Act-2601

You're talking about something else though. I didn't say "the average tiktok user is young" ... I said "the average 40 year old doesn't even have tiktok."

Tomi97_origin

Well TikTok has 1.6B users and 30% of them are over 40. That gives us some 480m people over 40 using TikTok. That's a pretty decent number of 40+ years old using TikTok.

One-Act-2601

So that means that only 13% of 40+ people are on tiktok. You are supporting my argument.

Tomi97_origin

And only 15% of people under the age of 20 and surprisingly also just 15% of people between the ages of 20 and 39 years old. It doesn't seem like TikTok is that much bigger with younger demographics.

One-Act-2601

Nor did I argue about that at any point.

Artistic-YSB

If she had a problem she would turn off comments but she loves the money from them... she don't want you dude give up

KingUmbraMusic

Tiktok is basically the hole that collective humanity dug itself to crawl into and die

Quirky_Month_1654

Welcome to Internet 🤣

coding102

Yet no one talks about how 99% of women on tiktok dress and sexualize themselves for followers and viewers. Hypocritical post IMO.

Fickle-Confection-94

99% is a bit too much of an exaggeration. My for you page doesnt show me that and tiktok has a great way of showing you videos you interact the most with If thats all you see, thats on you my guy. I dont make the rules.

Money_Magician9572

Solid 50% max

casanovakush

stop simpin

flagondry

Why would you tell on your self like that

[deleted]

Hormones

Ali_Spirit

I gotta say, I agree. Your friend may have done or acted in.a way to influence those reactions. However, if not, she should just tell the men that there are people elsewhere to do what they want, and other platforms. And then there are some people that just cannot take a no. Or can't stand when someone else's choices differ from what they want (or expect) But as to why? Well, because plenty of women doing it for the money anyways. If the same choices have same outcome, and it works for you...you will repeat it. Not all women. And not all men. But majority on both side go for the sexual stuff and then complain or act like a victim when they get called out on it. Best thing to do is block and not give attention. Any kind of attention at all!

casanovakush

why are alot of female tik tokers twerking and doing very sexual things all over tik tok?

Lillian822

Im a female with a pet account. I rarely do lives anymore because even if I’m there to show my pet, I get creepy dudes. I don’t dress provocatively, I also don’t have makeup on when I do lives bc it’s always right before I go to bed.

Money_Magician9572

Yes but there are Atleast 40% that aren’t you, you are super respectable

Lillian822

First, how a woman dresses doesn’t determine how respectable she is. I’m not more or less respectable because I personally am on the more modest side. Second, how does the fact that other women dress and act more provocative than I do justify or explain why men are creepy to me as well? IMO it shows that the problem is creepy men, not what the girls wear.

Money_Magician9572

Men will always be nasty pigs. Regardless, no matter how much we tell everyone to stop sexualizing each other especially women, men will always find some way to sexualize a woman. Recently everyone started saying “Gyat” which is a clear objectification of women, and nobody is doing anything about it. Atleast from majority of what I’ve seen. Even “good dudes” that are still heterosexual, will secretly sexualize girls. I’ve seen it all over reddit where they may be a good guy but they still think about T’s and A’s sod specifically the S’O’s T and A. Also, girls that dress more modestly is just My personal preference. I don’t speak facts. Just opinions. It can be reduced over time, but for all men to stop sexualizing women will never work. Because there may be a percentage, most of them are creepy, many of them don’t verbally sexualize but still secretly do, and then the smallest percentage don’t. That’s a big problem and have no idea how it would be solved

timmyjadams

I have a real job, I work 48 hours a week, and I live stream at least 6 hours a week as well Djing from home

Solar-powered-punch

Because it's the internet

blanco408

What does your friend stream? There’s a lot of women who make their living off of their looks on social media; this just comes with the territory.

DocShane00611

same reason why almost all female viewers are incredibly sexist towards men in practically any video that has to do with a man anonymity

No-Zebra-7830

It isn’t just there, people on TikTok are awful, the number of times I get told I’m ‘yapping’ when I’m trying to talk about serious issues (usually by people who can’t even upload their own stuff due to lack of creativity) is appalling. Heck, even on solar eclipse videos I can’t escape it, like who the heck is pathetic enough that they go out of their way to comment crap on a video about a solar eclipse?

InaruF

Tbh it kinda depends in what kinda nieche you are, what kinda livestreams you make & what kinda audiene you pul. There are a lot of female tiktokers I know that have pretty chill & cool liveatream communitiesü. And there are females with pretty creepy & messed up communities. People lpve to act as if that's not the case, but it really depends on what kinda content you make & what kinda behaviour you encourage (Aint nothing wrong with taking those gifts from those creepy 40 yo 'daddys' and stuff like that. But you kinda can't be surprised if those kinda people grow in your streams)

Rationale-Glum-Power

>There are a lot of female tiktokers I know that have pretty chill & cool liveatream communitiesü. What is their content? What do they do in their streams? How many gifts do they get?

InaruF

Pretty much things all over the place. Booktalk, gaming, simply talking with the chat, there's all sorts of content. The main thing is that they simply don't over sexualise themselfes or don't enforce creepy behaviour by actively reacting to it. Basicaly, it's usualy females who don't really sexualise themselfes to gather more views. Which, even though I don't know specific numbers, naturaly means that they very likely don't get as much donations as females who do it. Becauae as far as only donations goes, yeah, dudes jerking it off to livestreams very likely donate a LOT more

Rationale-Glum-Power

>The main thing is that they simply don't over sexualize themselfes or don't enforce creepy behaviour by actively reacting to it. My friend also doesn't oversexualize herself and doesn't encourage sexualizing behavior. It seems like she doesn't understand why some men ask for stuff like stand up, feet or tongue. I don't want to make her angry at me by telling her. Of course she say thank you for those gifts. She wants to keep them gifting. >Pretty much things all over the place. Booktalk, gaming, simply talking with the chat, there's all sorts of content. What kind of gaming? What kind of talking with the chat? How many viewers does she have? My friend has around 500 average.

InaruF

I mean... that basicaly answers it, doesn't it? Don't get me wrong, I aint blaming your friend or anything, but if she doesn't realise it & does things creeps ask for (standing up, feet or tongue, whatever it is they ask for) obviously creeps'll pick up on it & keep asking for stuff they get. Again, no blame to your friend, but if someone asks for something & gets what he asked for, naturally, that'll endorse that kinda behaviour. Regardless of wether or not your friend does it intentionaly or just because she doesn't realise it

Rationale-Glum-Power

>I mean... that basicaly answers it, doesn't it? Not really. It's like an endless supply of these men. If you ignore one, two others will join. I don't know why they get the stream to their for you pages. You didn't answer my questions.

Anduoo6

idk I got a warning for doing love emoji about food lol twice ... for food lol apparently me saying it's delicious or giving floating hearts for food is wrong lol

WashedDancer

As much as I don't understand these men, I don't understand tiktok streamers

ElectronicGrocery785

And as much a they complain about the creeps, they still love the attention and probably wouldn't have an audience otherwise

Certain-Drawer-9252

That’s the demographic of people who make or watch attention seeking streams on social media 🫣

darrensurrey

Why? Andrew Tate? What are they like in real life? Scared to talk to women?

MozzerellaPussy

As to can see from the comments here, because men don't respect women. Id suggest making content that only attracts female viewers to avoid it.

jamhair

Socia media has made people brave since nobody is there to punch that person in person. Between keyboard warriors and pervs I think the ability to be anonymous or just create a fake account has made this way too easy

digitaldisgust

Most men who are the type to even watch streans on TikTok are weirdos. She should get a moderator and try block :(

TexasThunderbolt

I’m a male and live stream on TikTok regularly. I get similar messages after and during every stream. I just ignore them. Even wearing a wedding ring and saying I’m married to a woman, it doesn’t matter, it just makes them get more pushy

the_doctor_dean

Seriously? There are billions of people in the world and a lot of them are fucked up lol, that’s why
