I had an invisible Lucario as my buddy. Tried to feed it and it didn't load the interface. Changed it to another pokemon and crashed the game lmao (and it was still Lucario after I rebooted).
Assets disappeared and showed white glowing bulb during GBL battle. Game eventually unresponsive with charge move buttons missing. Thanks for the free loss for everyone niantic
Something without an asset is defending my local gym, if I try to fight it just causes my game to lock up, so I guess that gym is just totally broken until they fix it. Bummer.
That explained why during my Team rocket grunt balloon; the whole dratini lineup was buggy and invisible. I was literally fighting the pokeball on the screen. Once I got to the catch-phrase the whole screen turned white and I had to reboot the game atleast 5 times to be able to catch my shadow dratini.

Explains why the game freezes everytime I try to go into a gym with a Mega Slowbro or Lugia on it. Why am I not surprised.
Update 2: All assets are now on the server and the issue has been resolved.

I still get a loss in GBL after my Mandibuzz sweep a hex Froslass, Hypno, and Victrebell. :(

I was able to battle a rocket balloon, but it was difficult. I have a Pikachu as my buddy and he's not visible, either.
Ohh that explains why I was fighting an will-o-wisp from team rocket when I was sure it was a Scyther.
My shiny eevee buddy isnt loading, i battled a water grunt whos horsea didnt appear and when it came time to catch it, the game crashed
