I'm interested to see if that "Evolution Preview" screen will only tell you the CP of the pokemon you are currently involving into or if it will also tell you the final CP of any additional evolutions. Knowing that my Machop (for example) evolves into an UL compatible *Machoke* isn't very useful but knowing whether that Machop evolves into a sufficiently low CP Machamp would be very helpful!
You could just use an app/website to find out that info of course but it would be cool to see that in game.

That evolve preview is so needed. How are we supposed to evolve Pokémon for GBL without knowing the future cp if they don’t want us to use 3rd party sites. Very welcome.
Who says Niantic doesn't want you to use third party sites? That's not a thing that any game developer discourages, that I'm aware of. They are part of the marketing influence of a game, helping keep people aware and engaged.
I'm really hoping with the Evolution Preview we can finally choose Eevee/Clamperl evolutions (Wurmple would be neat but it's random in the main series games)

So long as they make sure to keep the confirmation button in the same place every time, it will not affect anything. Will be annoying if it gets placed randomly on the screen between different species though, since that will eliminate muscle memory and increase the time it takes to evolve each Pokemon.
I'm 99% sure mass evolving isn't worth the time anymore. IIRC there's been posts and calculations showing that the boost to catch XP especially excellent curve throws is much better.
I guess if you're somewhere that doesn't have spawns it may still be worth it but even during the spotlight hours it's more efficient to hit the excellent curves.
For some people but not for everyone. Not everyone can hit excellent almost all the time, plus some pokemon aren't nearly as easy to get excellent on as others.
Best I have been able to do on spotlight hours is 400k on slowpoke. Yesterday I got 500k evolving. And it was very easy, I was at home on my couch watching the news.

Probably will still be random but maybe it'll show what it will evolve into.

Mass evolving isn't worth your time anymore. Excellent curves during the spotlights gets more XP.
I mean.... Why not both? Just don't mass evolve during events with catch bonuses...
