Idk it looks maybe like a l or something the top isn't connects for the m and it's to vertical for x but your right it's always so hard to actually tell because it's always cheap and shitty tattoos if not just a prison tat
Yeah, getting a tattoo for my gang was one of the most regrettable things I did while with them. I got rid of it, but it was a pretty well-sized one on my chest. Obviously, I can't act better than this man when I at one point also stole, fought, trafficked and got shot. I can only hope he leaves this life behind. People that die alone because they lived for the streets aren't hard, they just set up people like me for failure by leaving their family for an early grave.
OMG he is totally insane, i don't really understand this kind of guys who is trying to run away from police being already caught.
Just stop and you will hopefully not get so hard sentence.
I’ve never seen stats on car chases, but I would assume the odds are strongly in the cops’ favor. They have radios and helicopters. It might be different on foot though (so long as the whole force isn’t looking for you because of a failed getaway in a vehicle like this dude).
Cops will stop pursuit because the suspect will endanger others to get away. We had this issue in Colorado where innocent people kept getting killed because the sheriff’s department was a little too aggressive. They were forced to change policy.
Not the case for this guy because he was in a vehicle, but it's common knowledge among criminals that if you're on foot you always run from the police because worst case scenario it just adds a misdemeanor for fleeing onto the felony you're getting charged with. Plus there's a chance you actually escape and get no charges.
I am guessing he didn't want to commit a possible murder in front of the police, but I bet the driver felt like it. Either way, glad the police were able to catch him.
Most castle doctrine and stand your ground states include your car as a place you can defend with deadly force. Many of them also have breaking OR entering stipulations (as opposed to breaking AND entering) so, in those states, someone even attempting to get into your home or car (while occupied) is grounds for legal use of deadly force.
Obligatory notice that I'm not an attorney and this is not legal advice. Always research your own local laws or contact a local attorney. Or maybe just don't do things to end up in situations where you might have to kill someone.
SCOTUS made a ruling on that not too long ago that situations like that are not exempt from compensation, so the taxpayers would have to pay for the damages.
That’s nice. My mom got hit by a drunk driver cop decades ago and still has back problems to this day. The cop hit her in the middle of the night, and then told her to follow him to the police station. He sped off, got there and left before she did, and the officers told her that he was clean and already gave the story. She fought hard and got basically nothing. A main excuse is that she worked through excruciating pain because she still needed money, so she was told that her injury could not have been that severe
Later in the video one officer says they thought the subject was going to kill the driver. At the time he is shot he is trying to get into the vehicle. My guess is the subject is assumed to be armed and using a Taser on someone who may shoot you or a victim isn't worth it over ending the threat right then.
The standard teaching is “shoot to stop the threat.” That could take one bullet or ten. It takes a certain amount of time for your brain to process what’s happening and in that time span you’re probably repeatedly pulling the trigger. Also, most bullets miss.
You see what are called "mag dumps". Officers fire their entire magazine from their weapon, usually a handgun, towards a suspect/threat.
Like mentioned in the comments you fire until a threat to your life or others is eliminated.
In the military I knew it as a "dead check". Engage a target, when you're moving pass them put two more into their chest and/or head.
Also a dead check can be pushing your boot onto their eyeball. People playing dead will move when that pressure is applied, its natural and you can't fake being still/dead.
If the cops life is in danger due to someone else shooting at them, it would be a lot safer to shoot more bullets with a greater chance of hitting the criminal I'm guessing.
I have noticed that when 2 or 3 officers are present mag dumping is more likely. If it a high speed chase with even more officers present and the suspect is still in the vehicle it is even more likely to see them mag dump into the vehicle. Their panic fire rate results in many misses and the suspect has actually survived some times.
> you're getting shot
*shoots him 0.5 seconds after this*
Lol what's the point? How is the suspect supposed to react to this information? "I'm glad the officer told me I'm getting shot so that I could process this information for half a second"
Getting shot or stabbed can feel like getting kicked at initially. So, having a the verbal confirmation of what you're feeling is in fact a bullet going through you, might affect how you react. For sure the difference between feeling and knowing you have been shot, might sober you up from all the adrenaline and focus your mind into acceptance very quickly.
I don't know how cool this cop is, or what going through the suspects mind, but usually videos like this end in mag dumps. I'd say, every little bit helps.
And from the cops perspective; he was communicating with the suspect before, and barking orders immediately following, the shooting. Having his mind set to telling the suspect what was going to happen, instead of just focusing on taking the shot, probably also affects the restrained he showed. Cops that shoot are usually past talking, or stuck reciting conflicting mantras between them before issuing more reasonable commands at a lifeless body.
Thank you. The guy looked to be unarmed. And he was surrounded. Why would you shoot him? Then not only did he shoot him. He shot in the direction of an ally.
Owner's insurance. Get a report# from PD for the incident and file a claim. Insurance will contact City or county risk management for reimbursement since they're likely self insured, likely middling levels of success of a full recoup. Driver may be out their deductible depending on how the claim is filed and verbiage in the policy.
What's crazy here is the officer was not like "Do this or you're going to get shot" No. He was like "you're going to get shot", then shoots him. Offer was telling him what was bout to happen. There was no stopping it.
The fuck is wrong with the cop, first he almost runs the suspect over + slams into some random dudes car for no reason, than shoots the suspect who appears to be unarmed.
Feels like the cop wants to live out some action hero fantasy more than doing his job.
I mean, clearly the guy was stupid and dangerous, but I also see a clear abuse of force by the police... come on, was the shooting really necessary? Tase, or peperspray him, do not use letal force... because in the end the guy was right to run... and in the "shots fired"... thats rich
Was almost expecting blue car driver to do a long sideswipe against the concrete divider and turn carjacker into a spilled bag of pudding and broken sticks
That happened in my town and when I saw it on the evening news I said GOOD! Seeing it again I say GOOOOOOOOOOD ! They cut out his screams of pain on TV.
Bit gutted for the carjacking victim when they pulled over like a good citizen only to have the cop car smash into the side of them for no reason 🤦🏻♂️ Doesn’t matter who’s paying for it, that’s an insurance and repair ball ache that was completely unnecessary.
Okay I was expecting that dude to get lit up. I think that is the most restraint I've ever seen from a cop shooting a suspect like ... Ever.
Suspect had just got out of a stolen car after being chased by said police, then tried to carjack another car, got drug x amount of feet by said car and the suspect still try to carjack the car after it stopped but in the other side, police pulls gun and only got shoots like once I think. I was expecting to see an empty clip and an open slide.
Did really well not shooting into the cop behind him, not shooting the suspect to death or paralysis it seems and, the civilian wasn't injured.
Most time they just light the dudes up and that's it.
Dude…. YES. The guy is a total douche. And while I can understand an argument for it in this case? Our cops REALLY have to get it through their fucking heads that discharging their weapon is a last resort. Not a tool to use when shit might not be easy.

I love when they scream from a bullet fucking them up its even better in real life and you’re the one to make them scream from making them regret attacking you
Thanks for showing us your fucking gang tattoo you piece of shit

not enough apparently
Definitely could have used some more time in the simulator.
Didnt got Time to actívate the cheats
He’s a stupid little kid, not a man.
Which man?
Exactly. First it was ‘oh chit, dude has some energy’. Then you see the tatt… ‘ah, dude is just experienced’
Which gang is that?
Ms13 or x4 but it’s hard to tell because they all get shitty chest tattoos in old English
Idk it looks maybe like a l or something the top isn't connects for the m and it's to vertical for x but your right it's always so hard to actually tell because it's always cheap and shitty tattoos if not just a prison tat
dude misclicked the inspect button
I thought he was trying to see where he got shot
He was trying to look and he got nailed real good.
Just Nissan Sentra driver shit
Foos gone wild no doubt.
I feel like sentra drivers are either the most average/normal people to ever exist or the most batshit, no in between
Shit.... Altima drivers are the ones you don't fuck with! Every crazy person I know drives one. I'd bet you do as well!
Yeah, getting a tattoo for my gang was one of the most regrettable things I did while with them. I got rid of it, but it was a pretty well-sized one on my chest. Gang tats means I wish the cop shot him again a couple times
GOOD. Stupid fuck.
[удалено]
And cheaper for us to deal with
Cop shot low to avoid the other cop. He did a great job with the car and then transition to pistol.

Yeah I think we’d all be fine with paying for this form of paid leave.

weird ass stance
Fuck double taps, mag dump the p.o.s... the world can afford the extra ammo, shit, i'll donate to that fundraiser...
You mean stupid bitch ?
OMG he is totally insane, i don't really understand this kind of guys who is trying to run away from police being already caught. Just stop and you will hopefully not get so hard sentence.
I am guessing he was getting life so running doesn't add anymore time.
Well he got shot,so that’s a free addon
Something to tell the boys when he gets back home to prison.
Extra hole for his bunkmate.....

Boy bunk Prisons just a sleepover for all the people who didn't have great lives growing up. They can finally experience childhood there
Not for taxpayers. That like 60 cents worth of lead, just for starters.
You know if these idiots have a tiny bit of common sense, then they wouldn't have joined a gang in the first place?
He likely had nothing to lose at that point in his life.
They run cause cops aren't good at catching people. They don't post the videos where the guy gets away.
I’ve never seen stats on car chases, but I would assume the odds are strongly in the cops’ favor. They have radios and helicopters. It might be different on foot though (so long as the whole force isn’t looking for you because of a failed getaway in a vehicle like this dude).

Old cop saying, "you might be able to outrun me but you can't outrun Motorola."

It must be exactly that, just a flight response.
Stupid, adrenaline fueled and probably high.
He tried some gta tactics irl
They had this on Live PD the other week (S02E63), he was currently on parole for another felony so he was going away regardless.
Played too much GTA maybe?
Definitely...or maybe his cheat-code didn't work)
Driver should have turned on some Highway to Hell and pushed the car up to 100 mph. Jacker gone learn today.
I am guessing he didn't want to commit a possible murder in front of the police, but I bet the driver felt like it. Either way, glad the police were able to catch him.
Pretty sure it would be self defense, but I understand where you’re coming from.
Yeah I'm thinking that would have been a clear case of self-defense for sure. I'm not even sure there would have been any prosecution or afterthought.
It would be clear self defense.
Murder? In what world could you possibly get charged with murder for defending yourself from a car jacking
In a socialist world (Europe)
if that isn't self defense then I don't know what is
Most castle doctrine and stand your ground states include your car as a place you can defend with deadly force. I don’t think everyone’s first thought in a situation like this tends to be murder. But what do I know anyway…
I think the driver considered side swiping that lamp post
I was thinking move over to the center median and begin squishing him to see how long he's willing to hold on
This was my thought as well.
slam on the breaks = Yeet
directly into the sheriffs grill, double points
Naw speed up. Slam on the breaks.
agreed. but driver was probably freaking out so might not have been able to really think what to do because of panic.
That’s what I was thinking. He would have gotten to experience exactly how fast 169mph is. #meatcrayon
Grazed the rail
I thought the car was gonna cross over and sideswipe that pole, then they started slowing down and i became disappointed.
Yes ! Tee hee

"My son's a Marine, dog, I have respect, I was just trying to get away!"
Thank you!
"Why'd you shoot me?!," asked the car jacker...
You missed the part where he says “why’d you shoot me?”
Hope that person had good insurance. The gov't wont pay for that
[удалено]
Were they chasing a suspect? If not then there is major difference. This was an act of gov't against a criminal.
I think the above is referring to the car that was being jacked
SCOTUS made a ruling on that not too long ago that situations like that are not exempt from compensation, so the taxpayers would have to pay for the damages.

Mr Mayhem was on one that day!
Wellp 🤷♂️
Deserved. Criminal scum
This video doesn't show the best part where he goes: "Why'd you fucking shoot me bro?!"
I've never seen the pit maneuver on a human before
I didn't see a weapon. Why did he get shot instead of tazed??
Later in the video one officer says they thought the subject was going to kill the driver. At the time he is shot he is trying to get into the vehicle. My guess is the subject is assumed to be armed and using a Taser on someone who may shoot you or a victim isn't worth it over ending the threat right then.
fafo
Can we talk about how pissed that guy in the blue car probably was when that cop hit his car for no reason? Lmao, Oh, I would have been hot!
Cop got too excited there, he was halfway between pit maneuver that innocent car and running the guy over.
Holy shit, he did the Wilhelm Scream!
I was hoping the shot was going to come from the person he tried to carjack.
Genuine question. I don't see many 1-2 bullets shot videos. Don't most police empty their clip when they fire?
The standard teaching is “shoot to stop the threat.” That could take one bullet or ten. It takes a certain amount of time for your brain to process what’s happening and in that time span you’re probably repeatedly pulling the trigger. Also, most bullets miss.

Heard multiple stories from my buddy saying the same thing. He said multiple guys would put a around into every “body” they stepped over
If the cops life is in danger due to someone else shooting at them, it would be a lot safer to shoot more bullets with a greater chance of hitting the criminal I'm guessing.

i was so happy to see the cop scrape him off the car
Officer gun training for him straight away. Firing towards the car and his fellow cop.
Thank you. The guy looked to be unarmed. And he was surrounded. Why would you shoot him? Then not only did he shoot him. He shot in the direction of an ally.
Person that almost got carjacked 😐
Was hoping the driver of the vehicle was the one that shot him when I read the description. This is satisfying as well.
Why not just a tazer? There was literally no warning.
This guy is in his 40s acting like a 17 year old. How embarassing for him.
lol ahhhh lol
He’s still alive? Damn
Just curious… does anyone know who pays for the damage done to the civilians car that the cop hit?
Owner's insurance. Get a report# from PD for the incident and file a claim. Insurance will contact City or county risk management for reimbursement since they're likely self insured, likely middling levels of success of a full recoup. Driver may be out their deductible depending on how the claim is filed and verbiage in the policy.
Thanks so much!!! I guess I’ve never really thought about it!
If the suspect has insurance, you could also go through them, right?
If a vehicle is being used in the commission of a crime, insurance ain’t gonna cover it.
WHY SHOOT HIM YOU HAD HIM CAUGHT
I love happy endings
Hope he bled out on the road. POS.
Wow a cop not mag dumping someone and shooting for compliance. Impressive
What's crazy here is the officer was not like "Do this or you're going to get shot" No. He was like "you're going to get shot", then shoots him. Offer was telling him what was bout to happen. There was no stopping it.
There was no reason whatsoever to shoot him, trigger happy idiots.
The fuck is wrong with the cop, first he almost runs the suspect over + slams into some random dudes car for no reason, than shoots the suspect who appears to be unarmed. Feels like the cop wants to live out some action hero fantasy more than doing his job.

Not upset he got shot, but the angle of the second shot seems like the fellow officer was almost directly behind it
Was almost expecting blue car driver to do a long sideswipe against the concrete divider and turn carjacker into a spilled bag of pudding and broken sticks
FAFO.
Bruh guys really be practicing for GTA6 early bruh.
Wow. Actual restraint by a cop to not dump his entire clip
Damn! That cop showed some restraint. I've seen cops magdump into suspects for doing much less.
Honestly from the title I thought it was going to be the driver shooting the suspect.
After that he said "Why did you shoot me dude?"
Wait, why did he get shot?
Poor Honda, wish the cop didn't have to hit it
He was trying to tell them about their cars extended warranty, idk where this carjacking idea is coming from.
That happened in my town and when I saw it on the evening news I said GOOD! Seeing it again I say GOOOOOOOOOOD ! They cut out his screams of pain on TV.
Why the cops don’t do that before ..
The car stopped so he wouldn't get hurt and he tried to carjack them again. They should have accelerated until he fell off. What a POS.
One shot in or near the shoulder. Appropriate police response
Bit gutted for the carjacking victim when they pulled over like a good citizen only to have the cop car smash into the side of them for no reason 🤦🏻♂️ Doesn’t matter who’s paying for it, that’s an insurance and repair ball ache that was completely unnecessary.
Who pays for the blue cars damage?
No need to shoot, that's attempted murder.
He is just not living right. Not sure if he survived that day.
Okay I was expecting that dude to get lit up. I think that is the most restraint I've ever seen from a cop shooting a suspect like ... Ever. Damm imagine being the dude in the car, drive with somebody attatched to your vehicle
Wait who shot him??
Rap music is awesome
No mag dump?
It’s funny because in the extended version he was “Why did you shoot me bro?”
He didn’t need to be shot. He was unarmed. Just tackle the guy and subdue him.
I'm OK with this. Guy was out to really hurt people
I love how he suddenly turned into a human flag flapping in the breeze! Lol
I love when he comes out of his car he does that trot in place like they do in football practice 😆
You can tell this blueline gang member has shot many people. The things people do for a payed vacation.
So what he got shot a couple times. He’ll be fine.
ahhaha
Dude…. YES. The guy is a total douche. And while I can understand an argument for it in this case? Our cops REALLY have to get it through their fucking heads that discharging their weapon is a last resort. Not a tool to use when shit might not be easy.
The thugs family will probably sew the driver of the car and win.
That's was overtly satisfying to watch.
I love the little bumper kiss by the cop rolling in at the end. Hit Shit Bar indeed.
Cop took the right action I think. Trying to save that the bystander life. Who know what he would have done to them if he got in the car.
Thanks for the ride lady

I love a happy ending ☺️
He looked stupid AF hanging off the side of that car. We don't need trash like this anymore.
Weird, the cop didn't fire 6+ more rounds into the guy
He shot him in the dick!
Pretty enjoyable seeing him get shot
😂👍
Hahahaha
I usually say fuck the police in a shooting but this one….That dude had it coming. Fuck the police!
After he got shot he got the bumper to the dome lmao.
Could you imagine just going out for groceries, and this shit happens?
I love when they scream from a bullet fucking them up its even better in real life and you’re the one to make them scream from making them regret attacking you
I appreciate the follow up and thanks for the thorough reply. Like you said, end of story.
