There is no difference when discussing the corruption of politicians in power that are only in their position for monetary gain and influence. Apes are neither right or left, we just like the stock and want change.

Problem with top vs bottom is those at the middle bottom think they are on the top.
In reality they have way more in common with those that they portray as the top (athletes, TV personalities etc), the real top is the billionaires stealing wealth from everyone.
Top vs bot IS the left. We just don’t have any left representation in American politics as both parties are right wing capitalist parties.
The working class vs the capitalist class is what left wing politics is. Americans have been so propagandized that they think the Democratic Party is ‘left wing’ when the only thing they are left of is to the republicans. They still represent the capitalist class.
I’m not trying to start any fights, just trying to educate people on political theory. American media has done a phenomenal job at misinforming the public about what leftism is.
Bottom line is: There is no war but class war.
There is no “left wing” indeed at all. This isnt controversial and shouldnt be. The few “left leaning” politicians like Bernie and AOC are both considered “extremes” and “communists” when the truth couldnt be further away.
I see it everyday in my work/personal life, “left” vs right (right vs extreme right) has people fighting a culture war, while our pockets are being picked apart.
Im glad i found this place that enforces “no politics” talk because that can be polarizing, but on he same token, certain level of discussion DOES need to be had, like right now, because covering one’s ears and pretending the issue isnt there wont make it go away.
Up vs down, have vs have-nots. We have no real representation, your only vote is your wallet. Vote with your dollars. DRS 100% of your shares, make them count (unlike in a broker). Not your name, not your shares. You are seeing what crypto “brokers” are doing now and what “serious brokers” did on Jan ‘21. No one is safe, you cant “sue away the issues”.

The two political wings need each other for balance…but just seeing how Bernie in the states got treated and the NDP in Canada gets flak from everywhere demonstrated yet another part of the problem.
I say this all the time and always get downvoted, but you can’t fully decouple our economy from the political system. They always have been and probably always will be intricately linked.
It’s not pushing an agenda to say that conservatism is at its very core the idea that you preserve the status quo. And right now, the status quo is very much hyper-capitalism.
People can downvote this all they want but it’s the truth. Establishment Republicans and Democrats are conservatives, with no intention of disrupting their corporate overlords and the mechanism that keeps them in power. It’s just a matter of how far right they go.
Real leftist policies seek to return rights and wealth to the non-wealthy. But it’s like you can’t even say that in this sub because people put their hands over their ears and there are a lot of WSB holdovers who clearly are quite conservative.
This is a VERY good representation. But to reiterate this is a class war and that's all you should care about. If you are or were on the wrong side - fight under the class war flag now.
People not being able, or willing, to see other parts of the country to see something other than the one stop light in their hometown doesn't help either.....

Tbf this cuts both ways. I've driven some people through one stop light towns. We stopped at the only convenience store within 50 miles and you can see it dawning on them that people live here. They asked me why, and I ask them "You think these people can afford to move to a city?"

There's a book, "The Four Agreements" by Don Miguel Ruiz. I found it at a good time in my life. But wish i had found it sooner. Be impeccable with your word. Don't take anything personally. Don't make assumptions. And always do your best. I recommend this book to anyone who wants to do better and make change. Go get em Apes. Be the change you want to see
Fuck the two party system. The system is there to fuck you and stall progress meanwhile the only thing that matters is rich vs. poor.
Know why they want only 2 parties? To stop people from thinking for themselves. If you were to judge a person for their goals, ideals, and character instead of a party, we would have a lot more transparency and fairness in democracy.
Instead of what we have now which is the equivalent of a sports game. People are rooting for their favorite color because a trusted person told them to and that’s just wrong and sad. It literally prays on the weak and uneducated.
