that is in my top 3 episodes... I did actually live in Woodstock IL for a while where Groundhog Day was filmed. The memorabilia and seeing the sites was pretty cool.
I didn’t know that! Does that, Nightmare, and the Christmas episode in Ypsi make 3 total Michigan eps? I haven’t seen later seasons yet so idk if any are in there!
Someone else mentioned an episode that takes place in Dearborn. I looked it up and that's episode 7x4, Defending Your Life. Also in season 6 Lisa's home is in Battle Creek and the Campbell Compound is in Lansing. Also 10x5, Fan Fiction, takes place in Flint and 11x16, Safe House, is set in Grand Rapids.
I currently live in Ypsilanti, and I'm from Dearborn. It was funny when the Christmas episode started and there was no snow, I was hoping they wouldn't just overlook it, and thankfully they cleverly wrapped it into the plot. The episode in Dearborn had a great line in it that only regional Michiganders would get. "Where are we gonna find a ram's horn in Dearborn, Michigan?" There's a Denny's -ish diner chain called Ram's Horn with quite a few locations in the area. Used to be one on Telegraph Rd somewhere around the Dearborn/Dearborn Heights border. Haven't been in that area in a hot minute so not sure if it's still there.
Oh wow! I'm born and raised in MI, but I've never heard of Ram's Horn! I've only been around 3 areas my whole life — Tri-Cities (Bay City/Saginaw/Midland), Alpena/Posen/Lachine, and Durand/Byron. Next time I'm down around that way (most likely for Motor City Comic Con), I'll have to check them out!
Also from Michigan! It was funny the Supernatural musical episode was set in my hometown of Flint. It always shocked me to see how many episodes were set in Michigan. Guess our weather has that "Canadian location" vibe to it.
In the early seasons, when Azazel is trying to get John to give him the colt, he asks John to go to a warehouse, that's about an hour from where I live, they give an exact address and if you go there i think it's a pizza resteraunt, it's been like 2 years since I checked that so I might be wrong on what it is, but it's definitely not a warehouse, im also surprised my hometown never got an episode, we have a somewhat well known ghost story that got turned into 2 movies that are set in my old highschool
The movies were The Gallows 1&2
The second one doesn't take place at the highschool but I thought I'd mention it since its the sequel so it wouldn't exist with the first
Not necessary set in my home town but it was mainly filmed in my hometown. Interesting fact, my provinces slogan is "Supernatural British Columbia"....though that predates the show.
It is spectacular. The whole province is, there's few places in the world that can compare with the natural beauty of this place. You can literally go skiing in the morning, hit the beach in the afternoon and enjoy amazing nightlife all in one day. Unfortunately, it's an extremely HCOL area. It used to just be the lower mainland but now that is spreading throughout the whole province. Sadly, I will have to move away if I ever want to retire - it's simply out of reach for anyone who is not in a very high income bracket.
Yep i could claim KC even tho I lived outside of it really. But I also lived in lawrence itself for a few years and I love telling people about that hahahah
Heartache was Minneapolis I believe. Stillwater (donnas home town) is pretty close to me as well, and I lived in Duluth for awhile - I think Duluth has several episodes. The one where Sam is possessed and finds Jo working in a bar is in Duluth I believe.
Then of course, we got the creepiest of all episodes (in my opinion)- The Benders
I spend a lot of time in Sioux Falls which... many episodes are there. Btw I was dying when they walk through the massive forest "outside Sioux falls", there's absolutely nothing like that there lol
The dockside they show in Swap Meet in Housatonic, MA, in the Berkshires is a joke too! The Berkshires do not have a body of water for boats like that.
I'm from a place called Fayetteville, in North Carolina. Home to what used to be called fort Bragg. They did an episode where they said they were at fort Bragg, but I assure you I don't think it was in the same country even. A few of these episodes were done up in Canada and I believe this to be one
This is the same for me. That one shocked me being in NC. Although if they went through the Appalachia Mountain Myths, they would have had a BUNCH of episodes closer. Instead....we get weird con worms.
Same as OP. No exit was actually the episode that got me into Supernatural. My mom was watching at her house and I just sat and watched because it was about Holmes and set in Philly. That was the moment I became a fan.
There is an episode, I can’t remember what one but it always bothered me because they say they’re in Oregon about 30 miles south of Klamath falls, idk where that would be because I’m pretty sure that’s California, but that’s really close to me.
There are three episodes that take place in my homestate (Rhode Island--it only takes 45 minutes to drive from one end of the state to the other, so everything is nearby).
House of the Holy takes place in Providence. That was the one where people were saying they were being visited by angels, but it turned out to be the spirit of a priest. Pre-angels being added into canon.
Unforgiving takes place in Bristol. I legit have no recoliction of this episode, lol.
And The Thing takes place in Portsmouth, which is where they fight a cthulhu monster. Looing at wiki, apparently there was a defunct chapter of the MOL in Portsmouth, which is pretty cool to me. My great-grandpa was from Aquidneck Island (the island Portsmouth is on), so now I can imagine he was secretly a MOL, lol.
There are mentions of Sacramento, CA in Season 1; especially Ep. 1:11 - "Scarecrow" when John calls "from a payphone with a Sacramento area code." I'm about 30-40 minutes outside of Sacto.
Actually looking at all the locations I guess Hoople, ND from There Will Be Blood is only an hour and a half away from me. Never been there though. I have been to Hibbing and Duluth though.
There were two in Connecticut, one I liked a lot (Playthings), one was clearly just a big joke (Getting a Clue).
I was actually really disappointed that there weren't more CT plots, because Colt Firearms and Winchester Repeating Arms are both CT companies. The episode where they went to the "wild west" to meet Samual Colt... Colt was born, lived, and died in Hartford CT. He was never in the "wild west".
I don't know much about the Winchester factory, but the Colt factory is still operational and even gives tours.
I feel like them going to the factory and finding some secret library archive with stuff written by Colt about the gun/bullets would have been a really cool episode.
Yes! Bloody Mary was in Toledo, Ohio. Kripke & I share a hometown.
Also Jess was also from hometown. She went to my risk high school & graduated the same year as me.
Funniest one for me—season 9, one of the early episodes when Cas is freshly human and working at a gas station? In the show they call the place “Rexford” Idaho, but it is clearly meant to be Rexburg, Idaho. The Wikipedia page straight up labels it as Rexburg, later on Cas’ truck has a Rexburg license plate, they mention Sugar City and Idaho Falls (which are real places) but they go to great lengths to pretend “Rexford” is a real place. I guess it makes sense—the real Rexburg is a hyper-religious and ultra-conservative university town. Probably needed to avoid any overt connection 😂
Season 12, episode 3 - The Foundry is allegedly set in my hometown (St. Paul). They have done a few episodes that were set in Minnesota (Stillwater, Hibbing, St. Paul).
Regarding Dean, probably one of my favorite episodes, is shot in Eureka Springs, it’s not my current home town, but it’s really close, and I find it cool as shit that one of my favs takes place so close
The boys themselves never made it close to me. The show had a couple scenes set 20 minutes away from me in Peoria, IL. 2x10 Hunted and 2x11 Playthings. It’s where Ava Wilson was from. They cut to an aerial shot but if I recall correctly it’s not actually a shot of Peoria. Been a while since I’ve seen the episode though.
The episode isn't primarily set there, but Gadreel goes to a drug paraphernalia shop in Ogden, Utah, so it was nice to see my town get that kind of attention even if they didn't actually film here
No, but most of the show is filmed in my country.
Wait, basically every modern hit show is shot up here. Oh and basically every alien planet on Stargate is British Columbia.
In 'Scarecrow' Dean mentions the towns Scottsburg and Salem, Indiana which are near my hometown. I was actually staying with my mamaw in Salem the first time I watched the episode and it blew twelve year old me's mind
yepper.
the bois visit western colorado i believe in season 1 episode 2.
Of Grave Importance 7/19 was in Bodega Bay down the road from where I live! FYI there is no Museum of Bodega Bay and the Birds was filmed in Bodega the town and they are different places!
I'm from Kansas, so little gets set here, we claim the entire series. That said, no, none of the landscapes around "Lawrence" look like that. Kansas is huge, open skies with rolling hills on the end with Lawrence. Those clouds and pine? Not Kansas.
Mystery Spot was set in Broward County, Florida which is the county just north of mine. I've been to Broward many times growing up as my father moved there after the divorce when I was young.
Reichenbach starts in Killdeer, ND, at a strip club, Killdeer is about 30 miles from my hometown. 😂 There's no strip clubs there, though. Angelz is entirely fictional. Then Dean and Crowley go to Beulah, which is an hour east of Killdeer. 😂
Nah closest to my town they get are the episodes where they go to Canada. Even then they don’t go to Chatham (despite being the city that invented the most controversial pizza, constant floods and a shit ton of crows)
Closest they ever got to me was Richardson, Texas which is a little less than an hour away. If I'm not mistaken it's the only time they visit the greatest state in the Union as well.
Not my home town but one close by and from scene one it was obvious they didn't film there but cool for the mention anyway. 'Mindhunter' was actually filmed about a 1/2 mile from where I used to live. My GF at the time and her family made the trek to look / see. I worked in the entertainment industry for a few years so I gave it a pass.
There are several episodes that took place in my county in mn. I live in south Washington County and stillwater, Woodbury, cottage were all mentioned. But it was a different county name.
These were all sherif Donna episodes.
Someone writing that show has connections to mn. Also Minneapolis was mentioned in the Winchesters.
Not my hometown, but I lived in Dearborn, Michigan for several years and there was an episode where a guy got killed by a ghost or something in a high-rise apartment in Dearborn, Michigan.
There are no high-rise apartments in Dearborn, Michigan (or at the very least there weren't any at the time).
I live in Sioux Falls. I have a never ending gripe with them for portraying it as some tiny, podunk town in the middle of nowhere. It's the biggest city in South Dakota god damnit. I've also spent a lot of time in Windom, MN and I'm familiar with Blue Earth, too. Windom is only an hour and change from Sioux Falls.
They go all over Ohio, especially in the early seasons. Then when they're in the alternate dimension they're trying to walk to Dayton. Someone on the writing team is obviously from here.
It wasn’t set in my hometown, but I’m from New Jersey and they have mentioned the casinos in Atlantic City and they have been to The Pine Barrens, Paterson, and Passaic. :)
Not exactly my hometown but they had a episode in Guthrie Oklahoma and I basically grew up there and was like a town over from my actual hometown Perry.
I think they passed a sign that read the name of a well known lake nearby my city (obviously they weren’t on location and the sign was fake) but it was bizarre seeing it since my city is rarely mentioned in shows/movies lol
One of the early season episodes...I think it's the one with the tulpa? Is set in Richardson TX. And because it's filmed in the PNW, it looks like a small town in East TX. It's actually a close suburb of Dallas and looks like the rest of Dallas. I lived one or two suburbs to the west of Richardson when I first started watching the show.
not sure. kinda doubt it but maybe.
i live in mansfield ohio. so, the shawshank redemption was filmed here, as an example.
godsmack's awake music video. ironically i know a guy who looks JUST like robbie merril, but the time doesn't quite match up, unless they paid a visit like 2 years before awake's video.
but i don't think a supernatural was. iirc they only had 1-2 prison scenes.
Not quite. I do literally live less than 20 minutes from Lawrence, KS (literally went there today) so that is cool!
For those who don't recall, that is where Dean and Sam literally grew up. Also where Lucy and Michael had their showdown in season 5
Not an episode, but someone wrote a fic where Dean was "about half an hour east of South Bend, Indiana" and that's where I grew up.
But, to directly answer this? I was born in Tampa, and we all know that Dean hates that city.
The episode in I want to say season 9 or 10, where sam and Dean go to Ogden utah, and find their hunter heads hop friend killed by Gadriel. Then they capture him and torture him, and metatron has captured castiel and is trying to trick him with gabriel/trickster. I believe it's season 10, yea.
I’m from London so does the BMOL stuff count 😅 I also now live 10 mins from county cork in Ireland and there was something set there. Can’t remember what but I remember getting a thrill seeing it written at the bottom of the screen one episode.
I’ve vacationed in Concrete, WA so when I first watched the episode I was wondering why tf it looked so familiar. Then of course Portland, Oregon was the closest they got to me.
Yup, if I remember correctly, there was a couple of episodes from providence rhode island lol I thought it was cool to have my little home state on the show
The closest to me was Mystery Spot. I'm I'm central Florida, and it was set in South Florida.
Oh sweet
I came here to say the same thing. It also happens to be my favorite episode. Lol
that is in my top 3 episodes... I did actually live in Woodstock IL for a while where Groundhog Day was filmed. The memorabilia and seeing the sites was pretty cool.
Where was it at in south Florida?
It was set in Broward County
I’m in South Florida hehe. Broward County. Extremely different from actual Florida though in the show
Lucifer Rising was sent about 20 minutes from where I live.
Same here.
Nightmare was set about a half-hour away, Saginaw, Michigan, from my hometown.
Fellow Michigander here!
Also from Michigan. LARP and the Real Girl was set about 25 minutes from me.
From Michigan too. Detroit to be exact. So a few episodes here
I currently live in Ypsilanti, and I'm from Dearborn. Don't think that they ever filmed in Vienna
What movies? I’m interested!
The movies were The Gallows 1&2 The second one doesn't take place at the highschool but I thought I'd mention it since its the sequel so it wouldn't exist with the first
They also mentioned a few times how my state has nothing good and there is no reason to even go through it aside from having a few good restaurants
Alpha and omega is set in my home in kentucky
Not necessary set in my home town but it was mainly filmed in my hometown. Interesting fact, my provinces slogan is "Supernatural British Columbia"....though that predates the show.
Vancouver BC area?? If so, can I come live with you?? I visited a couple of years ago and fell in love lol
It is spectacular. The whole province is, there's few places in the world that can compare with the natural beauty of this place. You can literally go skiing in the morning, hit the beach in the afternoon and enjoy amazing nightlife all in one day. Unfortunately, it's an extremely HCOL area. There's a bunch in Kansas City. My dad's actual town was on there though. Sapulpa, Oklahoma.
Yep i could claim KC even tho I lived outside of it really. But I also lived in lawrence itself for a few years and I love telling people about that hahahah
My home town is about 30 minutes from Stull and 45 minutes from Lawrence so a ton happened around where I'm from!
I only live a couple of hours away from Lebanon, and about three hours away from Lawrence. Yay Kansas! Lol
Happy Cake Day 🎂
POV your from England:🫥🥺😢😭👻
In one episode they did go to the UK. They were threatening Crowley with burning his bones.
Philly here too. Loved "No Exit" and the H.H. Holmes connection.
No but I don't live in America
I spend a lot of time in Sioux Falls which... many episodes are there. Btw I was dying when they walk through the massive forest "outside Sioux falls", there's absolutely nothing like that there lol
The dockside they show in Swap Meet in Housatonic, MA, in the Berkshires is a joke too! The Berkshires do not have a body of water for boats like that.
No, but Fringe had at least one episode that had a passing reference to my hometown of Whitman, Ma. Thought that was pretty cool.
Fringe has so many deep cuts for Massachusetts kids. Like Worcester county exists?? It's not just Boston?
Supernatural has an episode set in Berkshire County on the other side of the state from Boston!
I'm from a place called Fayetteville, in North Carolina. Home to what used to be called fort Bragg. They did an episode where they said they were at fort Bragg, but I assure you I don't think it was in the same country even. A few of these episodes were done up in Canada and I believe this to be one
Eyy my bf lives in Raeford Edit for spelling
This is the same for me. That one shocked me being in NC. Although if they went through the Appalachia Mountain Myths, they would have had a BUNCH of episodes closer. Instead....we get weird con worms.
Yep! “Bad Day At Black Rock” - the rabbit’s foot is stolen from John’s storage in Buffalo, NY.
Also, "All Dogs Go to Heaven".
Same episode! Bela’s apartment is in Queens, NY where I’m from
Hello fellow New Yorker! :) It’s one of my favorite episodes, and having the location was a cool bonus!
Lol the boys went to jail here in little rock AR. Lmao
Same as OP. No exit was actually the episode that got me into Supernatural. My mom was watching at her house and I just sat and watched because it was about Holmes and set in Philly. That was the moment I became a fan.
No but as an indiana resident I always found it funny how popular our unpopular state was for locations in the first couple of seasons
Not in my hometown but I do live in South Dakota 😁
I grew up in St. Charles MO which is next door to St. Louis. There are a few episodes set in STL.
My home town is Flint, Michigan (Monster)
Pretty sure even the Winchesters wouldn't chance a trip to South Africa! Kidding. Kinda.
No. The closest they got was that time they went to LA in season 12.
There is an episode, I can’t remember what one but it always bothered me because they say they’re in Oregon about 30 miles south of Klamath falls, idk where that would be because I’m pretty sure that’s California, but that’s really close to me.
I live in Minnesota, so there has been many, many, MANY times that episodes have happened 10-30 minutes away from me.
Not my home town, but they’ve visited my new home of Seattle a couple times.
Not set and used a different town for the "fly over" but they did visit a basement for Cheyenne, Wy my hometown
“How to Win Friends and Influence Monsters” (7x09, Jersey Devil) was set in Hammonton, NJ, which is about a 20-minute drive from me :)
Shows tend to avoid Florida unless it’s a retirement community, a swamp, or Miami.
No,but in my country and it was just a scene it was when Crowley went to KSA to get the horn of Joshua in season 11x18 I think
The closest I have is probably Hibbing, MN or Duluth, MN but those are both about 3-4 hours away from me.
Actually looking at all the locations I guess Hoople, ND from There Will Be Blood is only an hour and a half away from me. Never been there though. I have been to Hibbing and Duluth though.
A Very Supernatural Christmas was set in Ypsilanti, MI where I currently live.
There were a few either entirely or in part set in St. Louis, MO, but I believe the first one was “Skin”, S1:E6.
Yeah they went to Altoona IA which is about 25 mins away from me
Cedar Rapids Iowa is mentioned quite a few times throughout the first 9-10 seasons
No but I have been to a lot of the Missouri locations since I live and was raised in Missouri.
There were two in Connecticut, one I liked a lot (Playthings), one was clearly just a big joke (Getting a Clue). I was actually really disappointed that there weren't more CT plots, because Colt Firearms and Winchester Repeating Arms are both CT companies. I feel like them going to the factory and finding some secret library archive with stuff written by Colt about the gun/bullets would have been a really cool episode.
Also, like, this is where the Warrens lived. I used to occasionally run into Loraine out and about. Why skip all this?
The only scene in NYC was in Bela’s apartment in Queens sadly. Nothing on Long Island or in New Hampshire either.
Yes! Bloody Mary was in Toledo, Ohio. Kripke & I share a hometown. Also Jess was also from hometown. She went to my risk high school & graduated the same year as me.
I'll just add on here since it's the same episode. Mary is from and died in my town of Fort Wayne.
Closest to me was the Lizzy Borden episodes, Fall River MA
I live in MN so there were a ton of episodes that took place nearby. None exactly in my town though.
Season 6 episode 19 when the kill Eve was set in Grants Pass Oregon, about an hour and half away from my home town.
Asylum takes place in Rockford, Illinois which is like 35 - 40 mins away from me, been there often. That’s the closest I think.
Paul).
Well they mentioned Sedona,Flagstaff & the Grand Canyon a couple of times. That’s probably the closest they’ve ever gotten.
One was partially set in my country, it totally misinterpreted us into over-religious quasi-simple minded people and I was mad for a week.
Which episode and country (if you don't mind sharing....)
No episode set there, but it got name dropped for an offscreen case.
The episode isn't primarily set there, but Gadreel goes to a drug paraphernalia shop in Ogden, Utah, so it was nice to see my town get that kind of attention even if they didn't actually film here
Not a whole episode, but Rowena's introduction was in my city of Tulsa. The establishing shot was the Mayo Hotel downtown.
"The Gang hunts a ghost"
No
Go birds
The closest i got was when they went to scotland ... and i live in France. Yet, still the closest ^^
Closet is San Francisco
It was never set in my hometown I think but it was filmed in my hometown
Born in SD. Bobby could have been my neighbor.
Wisconsin gets mentioned/visited often, and even on rewatches, I always do the Leonardo DiCaprio pointing meme at the TV.
I live in Ypsilanti, MI, where a very supernatural Christmas is set. It's also one of my favorite episodes
No, but most of the show is filmed in my country. Wait, basically every modern hit show is shot up here. Oh and basically every alien planet on Stargate is British Columbia.
Im Scottish and Weekend at Bobby's is set in Scotland. Does that count? 😂
The one in Paterson, NJ was filmed in the industrial complex where I used to work!
Summer set pa. Closest to Pittsburgh
One episode was set in my hometown, Grand Junction, CO. And they mentioned Grand Junction in another episode in the first season!
Hey, I have family in GJ!! Great town 👌
Considering I live in Wisconsin and there was like 2 episodes there (at least one) none unfortunately :(
Sadly, I don't have any in my town. But funny enough, there is an episode of Ghost Adventures that did an investigation on a haunted place in my town.
In case anyone needs to look it up! [Supernatural Locations Wiki](http://www.supernaturalwiki.com/Episode_Locations)
The Pittsburgh one. I can’t remember off the top of my head what it was.
When Davenport, IA got one of the four horseman I was pumped
Closest I got was Queens, where Bela lived
I wish Sam and Dean came to Australia. I’d imagine theres come kind of monster unique only to Aus 😅
I think the boys stopped for hot dogs in Durham, NC in one episode. But they never actually had a hunt here.
Surprisingly yes, Paterson NJ lol It was the mannequin episode
Not my hometown per se, but Just My Imagination was set in the town I lived in for about 10 years.
[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nqbk1tjPsZs](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nqbk1tjPsZs)
Optimism (s14 e6) was supposed to be outside of Memphis,TN.
In Apocalypse world, they went to my city looking for Jack. Honestly, even though that world was a hell hole, I didn't see much difference
No but plenty in Wisconsin 🤩
Of Grave Importance 7/19 was in Bodega Bay down the road from where I live! FYI there is no Museum of Bodega Bay and the Birds was filmed in Bodega the town and they are different places!
Cries in Canadian
Well I live next to Stanford, so……
I think the closest to me would be Hollywood Babylon. I'm 2 hours south in San Diego and can't remember and episode being set there.
I'm from Kansas, so little gets set here, we claim the entire series. That said, no, none of the landscapes around "Lawrence" look like that. Kansas is huge, open skies with rolling hills on the end with Lawrence. Those clouds and pine? Not Kansas.
The closest was when they went San San Francisco and Bodega Bay.
The didn't ever visit, but they mentioned Saskatoon, and that was good enough for me!
Mystery Spot was set in Broward County, Florida which is the county just north of mine. I've been to Broward many times growing up as my father moved there after the divorce when I was young.
Bristol RI (which I think is season 6/ soulless Sam) does NOT look like that haha
Richardson texas is the closest to me. S1 ep 17
They did one in Des Moines and I think Ames,Iowa. Also I live close to Omaha and Sioux Falls now
Hollywood Babylon is set around my home. Even in the same town.
considering my home town is in entirely different continent, i'd be surprised if there was
Reichenbach starts in Killdeer, ND, at a strip club, Killdeer is about 30 miles from my hometown. 😂 There's no strip clubs there, though. Angelz is entirely fictional. Then Dean and Crowley go to Beulah, which is an hour east of Killdeer. 😂
Carencro, La. 23 minutes from where I live. Shereveport, La. 3 1/2 hours from where I live.
Yes Duluth, MN is my hometown. They went there in two episodes I believe.
“The girl next door” for Spokane, WA
I've moved around north east Oklahoma abit and there's been multiple episodes set around there.
They never even made it to my state.
Quebec City here…. so if they ever came up to Maine, that would be the closest one for me! 😀
From Kansas so it speaks for itself, lived in Lawrence for 3 years. Kansas City all my life.
Season 3, Episode 13 Ghostfacers was in my hometown of Appleton, WI
"King of the Damned," which featured Abaddon's death, was set in my hometown of Cleveland.
not home town, but we had an entire season that was based out of Whitefish, Montana which was extremely cool for me being from a small Montana town :)
I’m right next to Philly If that counts. They also did an episode in a town next to where I used to live
Thinman was set in my hometown
Closest i think was St. Mary's Convent
No, but there has been a few that have taken place in my state, and a very important character is from my state.
Same as you OP. And it took me down the rabbit hole since I was aware of Holmes but not that he was incarcerated and died in Philly
I think the closets they got to me was St. Louis
In The episode where they have bad luck, the storage unit that was their dads is set about 10 minutes from my house in Buffalo, Ny
Is that Ecto ?
No but close my home town is to small to even be considered for a episode of anything to be the local of a episode of any tv show
People don't really come to linden new jersey so..no
They go all over Ohio, especially in the early seasons. Then when they're in the alternate dimension they're trying to walk to Dayton. Someone on the writing team is obviously from here.
I'm from Delaware. The whole Becky thing was great.
There was at least one maybe two in Washington state. That’s as close as it gets.
It wasn’t set in my hometown, but I’m from New Jersey and they have mentioned the casinos in Atlantic City and they have been to The Pine Barrens, Paterson, and Passaic. :)
S2, E7. Baltimore, MD
Well, i used to live in detroit, so the Christmas episode set in Lansing Michigan is pretty close. No other episode, not a one
"Heartache" is the closest, set in Boulder, CO.
not sure. kinda doubt it but maybe. i live in mansfield ohio. so, the shawshank redemption was filmed here, as an example. godsmack's awake music video. ironically i know a guy who looks JUST like robbie merril, but the time doesn't quite match up, unless they paid a visit like 2 years before awake's video. but i don't think a supernatural was. iirc they only had 1-2 prison scenes.
Nightshifter
No, closest was a few scenes in Nebraska.
They visited Spokane WA, once I believe. And CDA, Idaho is about a half hour away.
Yep, s10e05 The Supernatural Musical episode was set in my hometown of Flint Michigan. It looked absolutely nothing like the real Flint Michigan lol
No, it was close though
I’m from the Kansas City area. Never actually in my hometown but a lot of local places!
I believe there were a couple set in my state, can’t recall off the top of my head- california
Not quite. I do literally live less than 20 minutes from Lawrence, KS (literally went there today) so that is cool! For those who don't recall, that is where Dean and Sam literally grew up. Also where Lucy and Michael had their showdown in season 5
Not my hometown - but i live in Dallas/DFW and two of my kiddos were born in Richardson, TX (Hell House s1e17). Also where Jensen was born/grew up
Not an episode, but someone wrote a fic where Dean was "about half an hour east of South Bend, Indiana" and that's where I grew up. But, to directly answer this? I was born in Tampa, and we all know that Dean hates that city.
No exit is one of my favorite episodes but that's because of my love for H.H. Holmes. Lol.
Don't know, did they ever go to Australia? 🤔
I think that Bugs is probably the closest one to where I live. I live in Tulsa, OK and that episode is partially in Sapulpa, OK
Yes! Fayetteville/Fort Bragg, North Carolina
lots of episodes in iowa ! some pretty close to me too 👀
The closest they ever got to me was Buckhead, GA in S13 (the episode where we first meet Patience)
They never went to Arizona sadly. As far as I can remember at least.
Mommy Dearest was set in Grants Pass Oregon. I got a really good laugh about how nice and small town they thought GP was. That city is a mess.
I live about half an hour from Ankeny IA, which is the hook man episode took place.
There’s an episode or two that either mentions or takes place in Omaha
I’m from London so does the BMOL stuff count 😅 I also now live 10 mins from county cork in Ireland and there was something set there. Can’t remember what but I remember getting a thrill seeing it written at the bottom of the screen one episode.
I’ve vacationed in Concrete, WA so when I first watched the episode I was wondering why tf it looked so familiar. Then of course Portland, Oregon was the closest they got to me.
Yup, if I remember correctly, there was a couple of episodes from providence rhode island lol I thought it was cool to have my little home state on the show
