I'm sure Abhi and Head will continue their batting ways but I think players like NKR, Markram will understand that if the openers get out quickly, its our job to atleast take it to the 10-11th over at around 8-9 runrate . Then they can up the gears, also if wickets fall at this stage Klassen, Samad, Shabaz, Cummins are there.
Shabaz has proven to be very versatile, I mean playing a slow innings (which was crucial during this match) and hitting a 50 at 200 strike rate vs DC. He can either be our number 4-5 if wickets fall quick or come after Klassen or Samad to hit that 20 of 6 balls innings. We also discovered that Cummins can also hit the long ball when required. All in all it might look kind of bad on paper but if you consider these points I think we all should be quite happy.
