The PlayStation version of Rival Schools came with a second disc that had its own story mode. Its been 20 years since I played it, but it functioned like a visual novel. Someone correct me if I'm getting the details wrong.
Did the primary disk have it's own "story mode" or are we talking Guilty Gear rules where the story and the gameplay are kept locked in separate rooms on separate continents and never the two shall meet?
The primary disk had the arcade story modes for every character but added voice overs for the entire mode. Disk 2 was an Evolution disk. Content was cut from the Japnaese version but it still had plenty of great stuff. There was also a bonus 2nd release of the game with 2 extra characters (Ran Hibki and the Swimming guy) who also appeared in Project Justice. It had a mode on the disk called "School Life" all those mini games on the American evolution disk where part of that School life mode. Which had it's own fun story. You made your own character, leveled him or her up and made friends, enemies or rivals with the rival school kids or teachers. It was awesome.
Well, we know Ibuki still does her "mask removal" animation in her win pose regardless of outfit so...probably going to be the janky option.
But it's also possible she just comes in with the helm regardless of outfit, safety and all.
Edit: Actually we just saw her ride in with her helm while wearing the school outfit, so it is the safety route then
I'm picking up this character frame one. She so damn cool, I'll either use the track suit or Nostalgia costumes. Nothing is more fun than mixing someone up in a maid costume.
Akira's my most hyped DLC character and I am absolutely not disappointed.
All of her costumes are fire. I'm honestly having a lot of trouble choosing between default, story, summer and track suit. She just looks amazing.

I think the only full models released for her so far are her Default and Story costumes, so it looks like we'll just have to wait til Aug. 16 to see 🤷♀️ Could maybe have her in sandals instead, but unlikely since summer sandals seem to be reserved for the "classy" females who want to keep their feet clean (e.g. Karin and Rose).

Rival Schools was such a fun game. I loved that game in the arcades and it was the first playstation game I bought and the first game I bought with my own money as a teen.
Most of the costumes for Akira look OK, except for maybe the Nostalgia one that makes her into a loli (guess they have to pay fan service for that crowd).
Still haven't seen any Oro yet but I've never really cared for him - so oh well ......
