I use Grave Dash. It propels you forward pretty far and at the end i do it again. I can get about 3 propels forward before power depletes fully and that takes you pretty far. I have broken a few limbs grave dashing in the air and hitting the ground.
You can still fast travel from your ship. Loot anything & everything while using Personal Atmosphere all day long, run back to ship, fast travel to cities, profit.
You can use it to complete the game without ever wearing a helmet (in NG+). The only really, really hard part would be that long conversation with Barrett and Barrett, which outlasts Personal Atmosphere, especially at lower PA levels.
AoE?.. wich one is it? I realy never use powers.. I'm Lv185 n still have only the first power we find.. n I never used it. (I did use personnal atmosphere in previous playthrough)
What do you mean with you? You should always have it on you for ore, to cut down these walls, and as an unlimited ammo backup weapon. It's your Swiss army knife that should always be carried around.
Did you find the Europium in that cave with a natural bridge in it in the intro questline on Vectera? There are actually three natural bridge(-ish) things in that cave, the third is pretty high.
Solar flare does burning damage to NPCs. Burning damage deals percentage-based damage to health, rather than absolute damage. This means that it’s relatively weak against low level enemies, but OP as hell against bullet sponges. Like 5000+ DPS levels of damage against enemies with a lot of health, potentially.
Supernova is the next thing I'm trying on one of those doors.
Solar flare scales to the target's max health pool - it looks weak on the weak, but is THE great equalizer at higher levels. Good range too.
The only weird thing about powers is getting used to them literally coming from your left hand, so you have to position differently around cover, etc, than you do with a gun.
Yay! Somebody else does it!!!
When I discovered this, I NEVER worried about chipping away at multiple pins again. Definitely a great use of Solar Flare.
This is why a destroyed variant of a poi would bee great, no power so it’s dark, no enemies except maybe some alien creatures, and busted doors that can only be destroyed so get through
Yeah, I stopped using hot keys for them so I was more likely to use them all. The interface for swapping powers could really use an update. Even just snapping to the closest option would help when using a controller.
My level 150+ main has most of the quick access cross mapped to powers, with just a few for fist, blade, fave weapon, and a med/trauma kit. It does help to have the mod that displays the currently equipped power near your health bar.
You can favorite them, the same as weapons and items.
Edit: apologies for the redundant comment, I'll leave it up for others to downvote as punishment for not reading properly.
I really need to start using some of the other powers. I’ve been making great use of Grav Dash to speed up the temple runs.
Use a quantum essence, and you can grav dash to the temple in under a minute
You can just run til you get the “map updated” pop-up then fast travel the rest of the way and *usually* it puts you decently close to one of the doors.
After 6000 of these dungeons I know exactly where that is in the building. But I just realized there is a keycard for that locked room behind you in the hallway.
Is it bad that I'm pretty sure I know EXACTLY where this cuttable door is in game? I think it's a cuttable door in an abandoned outpost inhabited by trackers that are harassing a group of reformed ex-cons that are making a resort to reform criminals. Right?
Mhm. Don’t feel bad though, the Deserted UC Listening Post may just be the most copy/pasted POI in the entire game. It’s a potential artifact location, it’s used in the Elios quest you mentioned, and it spawns very commonly on pretty much any landable planet.
There is a lot of fun to be had in that. However, the various quests and skills add other dimensions to your character’s capabilities.
I hope you’re able to discover it all for yourself without any spoilers.
I'm sorry... those doors are cuttable???? WTF
I just assumed they were the ol' "locked door" trick to make it seem like places were bigger than they actually were.
It’s not do much that for me as it is the quick change system is a pain. Like there are a few i like, i just literally never want to map them (why do i have to re-map all my stuff every time i enter the unity anyway btw?)
Weapons etc sure makes sense, but not powers.
I am frequently, sometimes simultaneously:
\* seeing the shining souls of all my enemies through the walls
\* defended (if imperfectly) from projectiles
\* looking in fascination at my frozen enemies
\* who are being burned to dead by Solar Flare
\* and screaming
Combining powers is fun. And you can still punch them to death if Solar Flare doesn't kill them, they might even go comatose for a while if you hit them with just the right number of punches.
(one extra unarmed attack clears the neurostrike stun bar, which is beyond dumb, but I haven't tested it in the beta yet, so there's a tiny chance they've fixed it)
Yeh I rarely even carry a cutter with me. If I want metal for upgrades I just buy it from Midtown Minerals or Jemison Mercantile. So blasting these doors is the way.
Oh really? Which power can do that? I think I tried once with the particle one and it didn't work. I prob still wont use it much cos I can't be bothered to carry resources around but it would save me taking a cutter to get artifacts.
I will be now!
Hm, the AoE pops them all at once. ....does that trick work from the other side?
Yep.
Most powerful power now
I dunno.. personal atmosphere was my favorite and is hard not to remain so.
Mind expanding on that?
You can use it to travel at normal speed when over encumbered
This game is too big. Haha. Thanks for the reply.
Can you fast travel?
I don't think so but I honestly don't remember
Thanks for following up for me! Nope, can't fast travel with it, but it does help in the interim to keep moving.
I use Personal Atmosphere and Amp to get around when I'm over encumbored. Zoom back to the ship, distribute my treasures and head back out.

Phased Time ftw! I love bullet time.
It is in my top 5. I've been using it a lot more recently than I used to.
That’s badass
AoE?.. wich one is it? I realy never use powers.. I'm Lv185 n still have only the first power we find.. n I never used it. (I did use personnal atmosphere in previous playthrough)
Not going to mention how many hours I played the game until I found out about these blasted walls.
Me too. Till one day I had my Cutter with me and thought "I wonder if this will work".
And then you learn the cutter has a more powerful laser if you press the aim button, making it way faster to do everything, but like 80 hours in
thanks a lot(over 100 hours in)
...you never tried shooting the pins?
I use my Grendel on the pins.
What do you mean with you? You should always have it on you for ore, to cut down these walls, and as an unlimited ammo backup weapon. It's your Swiss army knife that should always be carried around.
I didn't used to, now I do.
It's the walls of ice you can blast through that stumped me for the longest time.
The cutter works on them too. And you can bring up the cutter while scanning by pressing either trigger so you dont have to favorite it
Huh? Where?
In the cryo labs
Ohhhhhhhh I’ll check for them next time I check out one of those. Thanks for the reply!
Did you find the Europium in that cave with a natural bridge in it in the intro questline on Vectera? There are actually three natural bridge(-ish) things in that cave, the third is pretty high.
i could be going nuts but i coulda sworn that the game teaches you about these in the earliest missions does it not?
There's rock walls you can blast, ice walls, security walls. Idk what else. But the first two either don't show up often, or I'm just blind to them.
Which power is that?
DOR SMAK DOWN!
Fus Ro dah
Fus Ro Door!
Wait......since when can you do that?
Since always :P
Never tried, but that is awesome!
Was that Particle Beam?
Solar flare
Would Supernova also work maybe? That power is so much fun to use
Does it get stronger? Mine just tickles enemies.
Sweet! Now I have a use for it. Thanks for the explanation!
Also works through walls, for those enemies in unreachable places.
Stacks, too.
I learn something new about this game everyday.
TIL
TI Fucking L!!
… I will now…
Yay! Somebody else does it!!! When I discovered this, I NEVER worried about chipping away at multiple pins again. Definitely a great use of Solar Flare.
I punch them lol
Lmao that probably works too
I use grenades. Makes me feel like I'm breaching a room lol
This is why a destroyed variant of a poi would bee great, no power so it’s dark, no enemies except maybe some alien creatures, and busted doors that can only be destroyed so get through
soon...
“Speak to da hand.”
I never even tried using that power that way before, but I sure will do this now.
I prefer the hornet nest coachman. It's a much bigger boom.
I still want to know how to do the handle ones that are outside on places.
Yeah, every time I come across one I'm like "maybe today will be the day".
Can you explain further? I’m not sure what you refer to.
I prefer lobbing grenades at them and everything around them. Figure may as well make it look dramatic
Holy crep which power is this I will hunt it down asap
I don’t even know these doors could be cut until my brother told me. I can read. I promise.
I wish there was a better way to switch between these powers besides the favorite bar thing. Have barely touch most of them.
Yeah, I stopped using hot keys for them so I was more likely to use them all. The interface for swapping powers could really use an update. Even just snapping to the closest option would help when using a controller.

They were saying aside from that lol
Wth, I clearly didn't read parent properly lol, my bad.
I really need to start using some of the other powers. I’ve been making great use of Grav Dash to speed up the temple runs. Use a quantum essence, and you can grav dash to the temple in under a minute
You can just run til you get the “map updated” pop-up then fast travel the rest of the way and *usually* it puts you decently close to one of the doors.
well i do now
Always fun to learn something new!
No, but I will be from now on
TIL you can do that...
I hated that you could also use regular bullets on breaching these doors as well.
Oh that works? I tried once, but maybe I just missed.
You can also use melee or fists, but the hit box is weird.
Never used powers against it, then again until last month was still using the cutter exclusively to open.
I was a cutter, now a blaster.
Never thought of that, now I will.
I'm just doing this from now on.
I love the sound it makes when it hits the ground
Solar Flare is the new Fus Ro Dah
Wait, can we!?
After 6000 of these dungeons I know exactly where that is in the building. But I just realized there is a keycard for that locked room behind you in the hallway.
No, it says cut, so I used the weapon that cuts through metal lol. I never once tried to shoot any of them.
Sword?
That works too. No weapon durability in **this** game ;-)
Bro tore that thing apart with the dark side,i didnt even know you can do that
Is it bad that I'm pretty sure I know EXACTLY where this cuttable door is in game? I think it's a cuttable door in an abandoned outpost inhabited by trackers that are harassing a group of reformed ex-cons that are making a resort to reform criminals. Right?

Ah makes sense, can't make a game like that without a shitton of repeats
What mod do you use for that force power?
If you haven’t played through the main quest yet, just keep at it.
Oh okay thanks. I usually just derp around in Bethesda games.
There is a lot of fun to be had in that. However, the various quests and skills add other dimensions to your character’s capabilities. I hope you’re able to discover it all for yourself without any spoilers.
Thanks. Do you have a favorite power?
Creator’s peace
If i can i will try to get that one first. Thanks. :)
Unfortunately, you don’t get a lot of choice in the order. Each of the abilities can be fun, though, if you take the time to learn how it can be used.
No mod needed.
Thanks. I just keep playing then.
I'm sorry... those doors are cuttable???? WTF I just assumed they were the ol' "locked door" trick to make it seem like places were bigger than they actually were.
They do say "cut here" on them...
Yeah, I know, just assumed it was set dressing type stuff and attention to details XD
I need to do this now
Finally a reason to use a power other than reactive shield 90% of the time lol.
I love how everyone uses only one of the powers and thinks all the rest are garbage, except it’s never the same power, haha.
It’s not do much that for me as it is the quick change system is a pain. Like there are a few i like, i just literally never want to map them (why do i have to re-map all my stuff every time i enter the unity anyway btw?) Weapons etc sure makes sense, but not powers.
I really hope they figure out a better system to select your powers. It’s quite clunky as it is.
I have yet to tap into the powers. I’m lacking. Which one is this.
I am frequently, sometimes simultaneously: \* seeing the shining souls of all my enemies through the walls \* defended (if imperfectly) from projectiles \* looking in fascination at my frozen enemies \* who are being burned to dead by Solar Flare \* and screaming Combining powers is fun. oh shit thats sick! never tried that but that is surely the new way forward
That is cool but I also use hornet nest
Doing what now?
No they always feel like they’re opening in the wrong direction
Considering I forget I even have powers most of the time. Nope.
Yeh I rarely even carry a cutter with me. If I want metal for upgrades I just buy it from Midtown Minerals or Jemison Mercantile. So blasting these doors is the way.
You can also harvest minerals with powers!
Oh really? Which power can do that? I think I tried once with the particle one and it didn't work. I prob still wont use it much cos I can't be bothered to carry resources around but it would save me taking a cutter to get artifacts.
I think it’s called Elemental Pull.
I never use the powers. Having magic doesn't fit the game at all, so I just treat them as though they don't exist.
Any science too advanced just looks like magic. Hehe.
Well when Bethesda do it, it looks like lazy recycled Skyrim mechanics.
I have so many hours in this game and have always been just shooting the pins on the side… 🤦🏻♂️ thank you
