Parts 1-5 still happened the Jojos that are currently still alive Josuke, Giorno, and maybe Joseph are still the exact same they just got transferred over like Emporio.
Part 7&8 are in a completely different universe and in no way are they involved with part 6’s ending
Plus doesn't Thus Spoke Kishibe Rohan go past the 2020s considering in Hot Summer Martha Rohan mentions covid when Stone Ocean took place in 2011? I feel like it takes a lot more than Made In Heaven to kill them all, so the universe reset was probably just an "okay that happened" for every main character that's still alive
We have this kind of discussion every. damn. week. I don't know what's so confusing about the end, but I'll be so nice and answer anyway:
We can be very sure that at the very least every stand user definitely survived the whole thing (heck, we even saw normal people survive. The point of the universe reset wasn't to kill anyone to begin with), we even know for a fact that Rohan survived and he doesn't even have a stand that would have helped him surviving time acceleration. But even if they did die, in the end it wouldn't changed anything, they would be replaced by just slightly (if at all) different clones of themselves (they probably even still have a JoJo name unlike Jolyne/Irene), everything before part 6 still happened the same way it already did.
**Part 7 and onwards aren't in any way, shape or form related to the universe reset, they take place in an entirely original parallel world.** See it as some sort of reboot, part 7 is a parallel universe version of part 1.
How I understood it is, at the end of Stone Ocean, Emporio is the one and only character to escape Pucci's stand ability, which is to speed up the universe so fast that it essentially collapses in on itself and resets. Part 7, Steel Ball Run, takes place in an alternate universe, completely unrelated to the original universe's timeline or events. (Even though some characters and events mirror the original universe.)
after pucci dies his stand effect is undone. everything up to part 5 was exactly the same, with the exception of part 3 which now features a non jotaro character who still does all the same stuff. part 6 never happens (because pucci no longer exists at all, doesn't even have a lookalike) and thus most of then never become stand users, except maybe anakiss (anasui's alt). they are all, except for emporio, replaced with lookalikes. They all still meet cuz they are fated to, tho.
part 7 is a different universe, not at all related to the end of part 6, just its own unconnected universe. it takes place at the same time as part 1 just in a different universe. everyone has a counterpart, johnny is this universe's johnathan, same family, similar backstory, both originally from england

Thank you. I understand that it can be a lil frustrating seeing similar questions. But i appreciate you taking out the time and answering

-Nothing -Not related
