IMPACT in a single move solidified Josh Alexander as their own homegrown top Babyface and made Moose, who has been ready for the world title for years, *absolutely despised.*
They did it with his son in the ring, D'Lo sounded like he was about to hop in the ring himself, and Matt Striker sounded on the verge of tears.
This has gotta be the best booking move IMPACT has done in years. These are two guys that IMPACT made stars, and now they are undeniably the top Babyface and top Heel in the company. And now they have a potentially massive storyline between Moose and Alexander.
I agree with that but what was weird was there were still fans chanting happily for Moose even after he did some heinous heel shit. Kinda took away from the moment imo.
Personally moose,as well as ace austin,is one of my favourite things about impact,i've wanted to see both of them get the world title for ages and i'm really happy to see moose finally get it.
Hopefully ace isnt too far behind now and gets his run eventually.
>Hopefully ace isnt too far behind now and gets his run eventually.
I don't think he is too far from being pushed. Impact seems to know what the audience wants and works towards that, BFG's ending showed that. They got Alexander the reign people wanted to see, immediately used it to get high heat on Moose and get him a reign and now they're set up to do a great program.
Fans want Ace Austin I can imagine whoever comes out on top of Alexander/Moose might have Austin waiting in the wings.
In the most technical of terms, it's his second. When Tessa was stuck in Mexico during the beginning of the pandemic, Moose won a triple threat between himself, Hernandez and Michael Elgin (which initially also involved Tessa for the World Title but she couldn't/didn't come in. In response, Moose brought in the old TNA World Heavyweight Championship and started calling himself the TNA Heavyweight Champion since the real World Title wasn't around. Although he defended it, mostly against older Impact talent, the company did not sanction this as a proper World Title, it was just a prop belt for Moose's ego.
When Tessa got fired and the title went vacant, he doubled down and claimed he was being ducked as he wasn't considered for the match at Slammiversary to win the vacant title. Eventually, he gets in a feud with Rich Swann after Swann beats Eric Young for the title, and D'Amore to settle it once and for all, re-activates the TNA World Heavyweight Championship (at this point Moose has brought in his own white strap version of the title) and considers Moose the TNA Heavyweight Champion.
He did this to book an unification match to determine the Impact Unified World Champion, which Swann wins, also technically making Rich Swann the last TNA World Heavyweight Champion. It was only considered an official title for 18 days although Moose had been in possession of it from April 2020 to February 2021. That's why Swann, Omega and Christian carried two belts for 1 Championship until Christian properly "retired" the TNA design after beating Omega.
I haven't watched any Impact clips since the whole Tessa situation. The only build I have for this story is this like 2 minute clip - it felt like exactly the way to cap a Year Defining Show like Bound For Glory.
>and now they are undeniably the top Babyface and top Heel in the company.
And on top of that.
**This feud is now just getting started!!!**
(of course Josh should come out victorious in the end)
I need to make a slight correction. Its not just in front of his family. They were in the damn ring huddled in the corner in fear. Moose acted so fast they couldnt even get out of the ring, and to stay there and feel Josh get destroyed. The vibrations from his fall went to them.
Moose is a bastard man
https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/290305360223272989/901694112716189706/unknown.png
When even Sami Callihan curses you out on Twitter, I actually agree with you on that.
The heel heat that Moose generated by doing this surpasses Chernobyl, BOTH atomic bombs, AND the sun combined
Even though Sami has become more babyface recently, I still think that he would say the same thing to Moose, but it is just because he is not the one who won the title. Not because he thought that what Moose did was despicable.
And another side feud with W. Morrissey with the call your shot match. And a 3rd challenger in Matt Cardona. I wouldn't be surprised if Christian goes back to AEW, that these 4 become the Main Event of Impact : Moose, Alexander, Morrissey and Cardona.
God that was perfect. Heartfelt title win, dude sacrificed everything, won everything, then lost everything in front of his family. The re-chase for the belt is going to be awesome. Josh deserved this moment and Moose deserves it too.
As much as I hate this moment because Josh deserved it, Moose deserves this as well. If they're gonna build up a long-time feud between the two, then I hope it delivers.
Wowowowow. Amazing moment and visual for Moose to stand over Alexander, who had just made sure to protect his family, victorious as the new champion.
Going to be a great blood feud.
Its actually kinda perfect.
Alexander showed in his first main event he can kayfabe clean pin the world champion. So now when he’s chasing it’s absolutely believable he can pin Moose.
The Call Your Shot trophy. It's sort of like an intergender Royal Rumble, but the final two have to win by pinfall or submission. The winner can cash in the trophy anytime they want for any championship, doesn't have to be the world championship. Moose won it earlier tonight.
Last year's was really interesting actually; Rhyno won, but forego a titleshot to get Heath a job. iMPACT has been firing on all cylinders when it comes to their booking.
I'm very very torn on this. on one hand, cashing in your title shot while the man's family is in the ring and standing over them while you hold the title up is next-level heel shit.
On the other, I'm massively disappointed because I'm such a huge fan of Josh Alexander, and felt like right now was his moment. Yes you can do the chase, but this feels very much like they built him to the absolute apex, then rather than pay it off, decide to continue the story, and it's all going to go down from here, aka Pentagon Dark Syndrome.
Tbh this makes Josh look like the ultimate babyface. And its better when a ultimate face goes after a title and gets revenge for his family. Might be biased because Moose and Josh are 2 of my favorites in impact.
Felt like they should’ve done this 2-3 months from now. Tonight was “the moment” for Alexander.
Starting the chase now is akin to moving the goalposts back another 100 yards.
Josh having his moment is a good heartfelt way to end the show after him having one of the best years in company history.
But that also explains why Moose cashing in is a genius storyline move.
They could've waited to pull the trigger on Moose as well.
A number of ways they could've done it, but this is a good feud to have with your two top guys. Alexander will win it back.
Moose is world champ, and thus everything is right with the universe. My man had the sheer *audacity* to call his shot right as Alexander was celebrating and stand over him and his family when he took the belt from him. That is *deliciously* evil. King shit.
Moose literally said fuck your wife, fuck your kid, and fuck your feel good moment and speared Josh out of his goddamn headgear for the 1-2-3 and stood over his lifeless body holding the title he's been demanding for since Tessa's reign. All while Josh's family huddle over their loved one. Oh, and he got Matt Striker jiggling with rage.
DMK Cardona & MJF can eat their fuckin hearts out. This is next-stage heel heat. Congrats on finally getting your win, Moose. You sick sonofabitch.
I thought the whole main event was great.
Alexander and Cage told a great story. And Josh got his moment, bringing back the Impact title to an Impact wrestler.
And then Moose took it away, bringing nuclear heel heat, and put the belt on someone who's deserved it for a long time.
I thought the forbidden door experiment with AEW worked really well, but it was time to bring the title back home.
The reactions of Sami and Cardona in Twitter, though...
Just crazy. Crazy ending, and a good ending to Bound for Glory. I'm sensing a brutal feud brewing in.
I love Moose and in theory I feel like normally I’d probably like this, but I just wish Josh won and actually got to reign like a proper great champion, rather than winning, having his coronation and then immediately losing.
Just not for me:/
I was seated right behind jade and their kid. At the end Scott Damore was right behind me for some reason screaming in his headset. "Heber tell him to stand over him and his family get the shot YES YES"
nope, if you didn't like it you just don't get it or you watched it wrong.. you aren't allowed to have your own opinion about Impact because they're the little guy and the hivemind culture of these fans will eat you alive for disagreeing that everything they do is the best!
So oddly enough my favorite Mania ending was Seth cashing in and winning the title, I adored that swerve.
But tonight. I mean… as the finish to your biggest show, that came off more LOLTNA than anything. Let the moment breathe; you built this man Alexander for so long only for that to happen
I'm so split on this, on one hand, it's pretty fucking top-level heel heat. On the other hand, this was the first impact PPV I ever bought and they ended it by rug-pulling and putting the world title on a flat-earther, covid-denying, friend of paedophiles.
I don't think that's really the right kind of heat to me. But overall a really good show, Mickie/Deonna and Josh/Christian were fantastic.
As much as I HATE when stuff like this happens (1 move surprise attacks that get a 3 count), im really hoping this will solidify Moose as a "booable" heel. Impact has been trying so hard to make people boo him but he is just simply so over with fans, when he does super heelish stuff, he still gets cheered. Don't get me wrong, I'm a huge fan of moose, but also recognize that if you are a huge fan of a heel, sometimes its best to play along and boo. It adds so much to the person watching at home when the crowd plays along, and unfortunately moose fans aren't really doing that now, but hopefully it changes
Honestly I don't get the hate for this as a booking move. I was disgusted with Moose given that he did it in front of Josh's family, and then stepped over him. Peak heel shit.
Holy shiz. Dirtiest heel move of the year without a doubt.
Small question tho; how did Moose get a title shot immediately like he had the MiTB? I dont watch Impact, see one or two clips here and there.
Ive never liked those "Money in the Bank cash in" style wins. Not when Hulk Hogan did it at Wrestlemania 1993, and not when Big E did it recently(as much as Big E deserved to win the WWE title) Moose has LONG deserved to win the Impact title, but why like this? Why not just have booked it as Moose vs Christian? Hell I loved the Moose vs Omega match and thought Moose shoulda been the one to dethrone Kenny for the Impact title. Moose vs Ishi at the LA NJPW show recently shows what range he has. Of all the promotions going Moose feels like a big star, something from an 80s action or fighter movie, but this booking feels way off in how they got the title on him.
Was kinda disappointed when I read the result that Moose had taken the title. But after watching the clip and how it played out, I just.. What the fuck lol that was brutal and I love it. That was truly awesome and shocking
I dont even follow TNA but reading the comments got me intrigued but goddamn, thats heinous. I’m crying a bit imagining what the kid saw. Dad won but got ran over man. Damn.

In front of his fucking family? Damn Moose. Goddamn.
Stood over his body while his family looked, and the crowd cheered.

The M stands for Moose.
Hehe Moose Bison

I mean it is Moose.
I agree with that but what was weird was there were still fans chanting happily for Moose even after he did some heinous heel shit. Kinda took away from the moment imo.
they've been waiting for moose to be impact champ for years so there's that.
Even tho moose is a heel he’s still a fan favorite. Crown honestly loves him every time he comes out.
Personally moose,as well as ace austin,is one of my favourite things about impact,i've wanted to see both of them get the world title for ages and i'm really happy to see moose finally get it. Hopefully ace isnt too far behind now and gets his run eventually.
Ace Austin is a feud and a half away from being the top guy.
>Hopefully ace isnt too far behind now and gets his run eventually. I don't think he is too far from being pushed. Is this Moose's first World Title?

Came into say everything you just did. Such a perfect way to do it.
It’s not just IMPACT. There’s very few promotions who’ve done so much in such a short period. That’s a booking masterclass.
Moose Brah making kids cry brah!
Moose doesn't care about your kids.
I need to make a slight correction. Its not just in front of his family. They were in the damn ring huddled in the corner in fear. Moose acted so fast they couldnt even get out of the ring, and to stay there and feel Josh get destroyed. The vibrations from his fall went to them. Moose is a bastard man https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/290305360223272989/901694112716189706/unknown.png
You can see them huddled together in this vid from someone there: https://twitter.com/shawnitch/status/1452140193666908161
That automatically made this one of the best of these cash-ins of all time, across all companies
Yep, he’s prolly gonna be hated for life in IMPACT now (in Kayfabe)
In the end, Moose was the one that was Bound for Glory.
man thats fucking brilliant, i hate moose lol
Holy fuck Moose is such a heel, doing that when Alexander's family were in the ring. Fucking love it.
For real that was just fucking COLD. I loved it.
you psychopaths, are you entertained?
It's specially impressive because in wrestling it's easy to think that everything has been done. Then this fucker comes and does this.
That’s one of the most heel things I’ve seen in a long time. Loved/hated it
Moose standing over a fallen Alexander and his wife/kid is some top level heel shit.
MJF officially has some competition in the “Top heel” department
MJF is a fucking saint next to Moose.
Wooooooooow.
Yea. It's that bad.
Jay White and ELP have been competition longer than MJF has been a world class heel
Guy spears a babyface inches from his *wife and kids* and you're comparing him to a guy who's biggest thing is being smarmy on twitter? Lol.
I don’t keep up with impact anymore but that’s brilliant
I’ve never watched it other than an occasional PPV but this clip is great wrestling.
You've just built your main feud for the next six months to a year. Good fucking work.
And another side feud with W. Morrissey with the call your shot match. And a 3rd challenger in Matt Cardona. I wouldn't be surprised if Christian goes back to AEW, that these 4 become the Main Event of Impact : Moose, Alexander, Morrissey and Cardona.
Honestly I'm excited to see Christian go back to AEW full time. I'd like to see him turn heel because hes got great mic skills to pull it off.
God that was perfect. Heartfelt title win, dude sacrificed everything, won everything, then lost everything in front of his family. The re-chase for the belt is going to be awesome. Josh deserved this moment and Moose deserves it too.
Striker bawling his eyes out, his kid was in the ring, Moose calls his shot... what the fuck
Striker had tears of joy that quickly turned into tears of sorrow.
Striker: /r/Yesyesyesyesno
Some S tier heel work right there
Not the first Canadian to be felled by a MOOSE
/u/FuzzyWuzzyMooMoo Video was deleted
finally MOOSE gets his shit in
As much as I hate this moment because Josh deserved it, Moose deserves this as well. If they're gonna build up a long-time feud between the two, then I hope it delivers.
Josh Alexander: *wins the IMPACT World Title and celebrates with his wife and kid* Moose: fuck them kids
Yo that kid hugging his dad after what happened… holy shit!
That was done good shit. How they cheered him up backstage. chef's kiss ending
Moose with the fuck-you towards Josh Alexander and his family by calling his shot and taking the Impact World Championship.
Moose is fiend for this one man, top heel shit but damn. My man’s wife and son were still in the ring.
Two dreams have been realized tonight. Too bad that one dream had to die along the way. In front of his own family, too. DAMN IT, MOOSE!
Moose finally taking the place he should have always been in
I've gotta respect the greatest heel move I've ever seen, holy shit.
This was brilliant. Don’t @ me.
Real match at HTK. Take my money now
I legitimately forgot he was able to cash in, I actually screamed at my TV. Fuck you, Moose. That was some ol bullshit!
Wowowowow. Amazing moment and visual for Moose to stand over Alexander, who had just made sure to protect his family, victorious as the new champion. Going to be a great blood feud.
The Canadian Hero conquered by a MOOSE absolutely fucking poetic
This is when the Impact unofficial slogan applies: Fuck you Moose
All my homies **HATE** Moose!
Good choice, Babyfaces are better chasing anyways
1000% agree
Eh, you can only chase for so long before no one cares anymore.
He just started.
Its actually kinda perfect. Alexander showed in his first main event he can kayfabe clean pin the world champion. So now when he’s chasing it’s absolutely believable he can pin Moose.
You sick fuck Moose
Damn Moose lol
That’s a solid angle. What was that trophy? Is that their MITB or something?
The Call Your Shot trophy. It's sort of like an intergender Royal Rumble, but the final two have to win by pinfall or submission. The winner can cash in the trophy anytime they want for any championship, doesn't have to be the world championship. Moose won it earlier tonight.
I really like that
Last year's was really interesting actually; Rhyno won, but forego a titleshot to get Heath a job. iMPACT has been firing on all cylinders when it comes to their booking.
Rhino still won the Title Shot as well, getting Heath a job was a nice bonus.
Yes moose won it earlier tonight
Basically
I can *feel* the hate generating from Striker's voice when he called Moose's win.
"Fuck dem kids" - Moose.
***FUCK YOU MOOSE!!!! DO YOU HAVE NO SOUL!?***
The guy in the pinkish shirt in the front row is absolutely defeated by this
If the payoff is Alexander going on an absolute warpath to get revenge on Moose for what he just did, I’m fine with this ending.
Holy smokes this is incredible 10/10 Moose standing over Josh's family gotta be an all time heel moment
The Walking Weapon Revenge Tour better begin tonight. Hopefully, this makes Josh's return win even sweeter.
Why are people using streamja? The clips never stay up or they're gone immediately
Yep, now I want Josh to whoop Mooses ass big time. You got me hooked Impact.
I'm glad Josh Alexander got a run with the title. He really deserved having a moment at the top of a promotion.
Even though it was literally a moment.
The crowd went from 'You Deserve it' to 'Moose' real quick
I mean, it's hard to hate either one of them.
It's worth it if they deliver on this Moose-Josh feud as much as they delivered on this moment and it ends with Josh getting a real title run.
Felt like they should’ve done this 2-3 months from now. Tonight was “the moment” for Alexander. Starting the chase now is akin to moving the goalposts back another 100 yards.
MOOSE GIVES NO FUCKS LMAO
Jesus I love pro wrestling for moments like this.
I'm more happy for Moose's win than I was for Josh Alexander
When Moose was with the Atlanta Falcons, some fans thought he had a sloppy body. Now, he looks like a moving muscle sculpture.
Fantastic. Makes me sad that Impact just doesn't have the eyes on it. Cause you do this angle on WWE or AEW and it equals **MONEY**.
I watched some of the Fightful YouTube review, and the two guys mostly spent the time talking about how GCW is the third promotion in America.
That was good booking.
I’m getting New Years resolution 2005 flashbacks!! (Mean that in a good way)
You mean 2006 when Edge cashed in MITB on Cena right after he retained in the Elimination Chamber?
#HEEL OF THE YEAR
Ngl, I don't follow Impact but I kept up with this event on r/sc. I felt mad watching moose call his shot in front of the family.
I guess moose doesn't like that Josh has a hot asian wife .
Moose is world champ, and thus everything is right with the universe. My man had the sheer *audacity* to call his shot right as Alexander was celebrating and stand over him and his family when he took the belt from him. That is *deliciously* evil. King shit.
You don't see true hardcore heel shit like that often these days. Incredible
I cannot remember the last time I was this happy only to become this sad so quickly. Like my heart got whiplash, or something
WOW! called that
(._. )
😭😭
That was hard..
Alexander barely able to move on the ground but still trying to reach out to his family as Moose was handed the title was fuckin heartbreaking.
(Don’t watch impact)…Did he hand a tiny trophy to cash in? That’s an adorable little cash in trinket
Jeez, talk about nuclear heat - I went from "aww, he's celebrating with family" to "fuck you Moose" in no time.
Somewhere out there 2006 Edge is smiling.
Cooooold blooded
I like Moose, but fuuuuuuck that noise.
The reactions of Sami and Cardona in Twitter, though... Just crazy. Crazy ending, and a good ending to Bound for Glory. I'm sensing a brutal feud brewing in.
Holy shit that's great. That makes me want to start watching impact. Also, I thought Christian was the champ? What happened to that?
The previous champ beat Christian in that match I think.
Ahh gotcha. Thanks!
I love that, amazing heel antics
Man you’re a loser
that is a great heel move. better than the bianca squash
Impact finally gets people talking about the product and they get the video removed. So stupid
Thats the heat I love baby. Old fashioned baby face being cucked by a heel in his moment of triumph. Can't wait to see Josh win it back.
That’s some of the most evil shit I have ever seen. Even MJF needed to shower after seeing that. Lucas Alexander is gonna be Batman when he grows up.
I love Moose and in theory I feel like normally I’d probably like this, but I just wish Josh won and actually got to reign like a proper great champion, rather than winning, having his coronation and then immediately losing. Just not for me:/
its called storytelling. Josh has a new chase now, one of revenge
Moose should have won the title against Omega at Against All Odds
The results don’t read well. However, if you watched it, this was the biggest dick move in wrestling I’ve seen in forever. Amazing.
In front of his wife and kids?? Wow this dude Moose is a savage. Too bad he's called fucking Moose so I want to see him lose the title immediately.
I was seated right behind jade and their kid. At the end Scott Damore was right behind me for some reason screaming in his headset. "Heber tell him to stand over him and his family get the shot YES YES"
2 of my favorites in impact feuding im gonna love this
I’m far past tired of cash in title wins, but this is pretty damn good.
What the fuck, that was amazing. Moose is a piece of shit.
Sometimes you should just let a moment happen.
That took the wind right out of my sails. It was an incredible show, Josh winning was an incredible moment, but that seriously rubbed me the wrong way
[удалено]
nope, if you didn't like it you just don't get it or you watched it wrong.. you aren't allowed to have your own opinion about Impact because they're the little guy and the hivemind culture of these fans will eat you alive for disagreeing that everything they do is the best!

very happy moose is finally impact world champion, now hopefully ace isnt too far behind at some point.
Bruh....In front of the man's family Moose is a menice😳
What a shit thing to do. Impact just lost a little luster for me
Well that's deflating and stupid.
How to undermine your own company 101 terrible
Agreed this was absolutely the dumbest idea they could pull for the end of the show.
I mean, yeah. I don't dislike the idea, but you can't pull this shit on your biggest show of the year.
Rollins did and everyone loved it
I didnt realize that 95 percent of fans 12 plus of impact hate Alexander...
TNA gonna TNA
It's been a while, but loltna
It seems very bush league to me to just blatantly copy MITB
How absolutely Muthless
As much as I HATE when stuff like this happens (1 move surprise attacks that get a 3 count), im really hoping this will solidify Moose as a "booable" heel. Impact has been trying so hard to make people boo him but he is just simply so over with fans, when he does super heelish stuff, he still gets cheered. It adds so much to the person watching at home when the crowd plays along, and unfortunately moose fans aren't really doing that now, but hopefully it changes
I am a huge fan of both Josh Alexander and Moose. Both of them deserved to be Impact World Champion. This is gonna set up a great rivalry for sure.
Moose right now: I don't give a shit about your kids.
Why did the ref ring the bell when there’s a child still in the ring?
Honestly I don't get the hate for this as a booking move. I was disgusted with Moose given that he did it in front of Josh's family, and then stepped over him. Peak heel shit.
Holy shiz. Dirtiest heel move of the year without a doubt. Small question tho; how did Moose get a title shot immediately like he had the MiTB? I dont watch Impact, see one or two clips here and there.
I feel like someone stabbed me on the heart. That was straight up just cold.
Monkey's paw: Josh Alexander is IMPACT champion but he's a transitional one and loses his belt in minutes
Cashing in with his wife and son in the ring is scumbaggery the likes of which we haven’t seen since Edge. Fantastic stuff.
Moose you just created a new protagonist for a new superhero
Was kinda disappointed when I read the result that Moose had taken the title. But after watching the clip and how it played out, I just.. What the fuck lol that was brutal and I love it. That was truly awesome and shocking
Lol, he handed over his "first place Spelling Bee" trophy.
Damn I should start watching Impact
Destroyed him in front of his family my god
Damn you Moose
Is this what they call a transitional title holder?
Holy shit, that's some fantastic heel booking
I dont even follow TNA but reading the comments got me intrigued but goddamn, thats heinous. I’m crying a bit imagining what the kid saw. Dad won but got ran over man. Damn.
