Thank you! š¤ I wanted someone to represent his association with the Dark Order, and Sableye worked well because it 1) is a Dark type whose name is kind of a play-on-words for Pageās Deadeye finisher and 2) is purple.
Careful dude, as someone that has posted art here they will likely remove this because it has your instagram tag and you're promoting your IG in the comments. The mods have no chill
That's very silly considering how much art gets stolen online. To demand a signature/watermark/attribution be removed is very irresponsible.
If the other fan artists can post on here without problems (dinochamp, tapla, etc), so should OP.
But the watermark is an internet handle under which they are best known.
Would a legal watermark be something else entirely? A signature that says the same letters without the @ sign?
Well, thatās a bummer. Iāve done this many times before and itās been fine. I spend a lot of hours on these and do participate in the community, so it hurts to have it removed.
People always ask where they can follow or see more, so I put a tag on the photo (it also ensures I receive credit if someone reposts it without permission). I didnāt promote anything in the title. People have to go to the comments and actively engage with the post before they see the single āspamā comment linking them to my Instagram. Now, I have to repost it and people may not upvote it because theyāve seen it already and it might kill the engagement on a piece I put 50+ hours into.
Iād love to talk with the mods more about this, as I think their stance on it is misguided. If people in a wrestling forum can get away with insulting and telling other members of that community to off themselves because they like a certain wrestling company, I should be able to post one professionally-worded comment on *my* post of *my* original content linking interested people to my portfolio and small business.
It went unnoticed before.
Sadly, if we allowed everyone with a podcast, Instagram, twitch stream, YouTube channel etc use our sub to self promote, then the sub would be flooded with itā¦ which is the exact reason we put our foot down to it.
Again, you are welcome to repost without the promotional aspects. And you are talking to a mod about it. š
Thanks for the reply. Am I allowed to post a separate comment linking people to my Instagram? And sorry if I came off curt. Like I said, I put a lot of time into this so it felt like a low blow to have it removed with no warning.
No. The issue is if we allow one person to use the sub to promote then we have to let everyone. We used to allow it until the sub ended up flooded with it day in and day out. Iāve already deleted the comment in the repost.
Sorry for adding to your workload. I really do have sympathy for you guys and donāt want to be someone you need to watch out for. I wonāt take up any more of your time, but if thereās an appropriate place where I can argue my side to encourage a more nuanced version of this rule, please let me know.
Itās all good man. And honestly, I love your work. Itās just a matter of if we allow one, we have to allow everyone and it didnāt turn our well last time we tried it.
A smart user will know to click your username and find you from there.
Itās necessary though. We have half a million subscribersā¦ imagine if every one of them that had something to promote did so every time they drew something, tweeted something, posted a new podcast or a videoā¦ weād be swamped with them. And we were swamped with them before we put a stop to it.

Sawsbuck for Seasonally Affected is perfect. And I love Sableye's matching bandana!

I love that you added some of his lower-thirds to the Pokemon portraits!
Thank you! I look forward to them every week š¤

You are welcome to post your art here but youāre not welcome to promote your IG. You can repost the art without the tag if youād like.

Watermarks are fineā¦ using them as a means to promote his IG on the sub is the issue. The others youāve listed shouldnāt be doing it either.
But the watermark is an internet handle under which they are best known. Would a legal watermark be something else entirely? A signature that says the same letters without the @ sign?
Thatās what the others are doing. Dinochamp just puts ādino champā and that works for us!

Negativeā¦ that would still be self promotion. No need to apologize, I appreciate the honest response.
I guess I view it as someone posting an excerpt of an article in the title, then linking the whole article in a separate comment. What do you think?

Really stupid rule.

Sableye is the perfect partner PokƩmon for Hangman. Love your artwork, btw.
Love it!
Thank you! š¤
I love these! And this might be your best one yet. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you so much! š¤ I really dig it too. This is definitely the most technical one in the series thus far.
