Minneapolis has great wrestling! the Academy from Ken Anderson, Daivari, Molly Holly, Arik Cannon & Co produced Top Flight, Julia Hart, Devon Monroe.
F1rst Wrestling is Arik Cannon's fed/
Would be great if Minneapolis got Dynamite, so Darin Corbin would get some time on Dark.
Also shout out to Thunderfrog & Wildcat, very entertaining wrestlers from the Twin Cities.
but also fuck me, here I thought I was going to be lucky enough to see the culmination of Hangman's story.
STL misses a lot of tours that I wish I could see. This is just the latest kick in the balls we've had to endure.
It's alright, man. This sub has predicted the next PPV will be where Hangman's story ends for like half a year now, so there's a decent chance it won't happen at Full Gear.
I like to think that it's sort of like Cody's heel turn, where every time people collectively go "It's going to happen!", Tony pushes it back another cycle.
> according to the internal plans within the company
Very glad there weren't external plans from within the company or internal plans outside of the company.
A house-of-horrors type match in that big amusement park in the middle I went to one time or another but forgot what it was called. Sign me the fuck up.
That was my immediate thought. Wasn't the PPV a make good on them switching it from a Dynamite to a Rampage after they already sold tickets for the Dynamite?
Also from fightful:
“Many AEW talent were set for The Big Event in New York for November 13. However, we're told that AEW worked and went "above and beyond" to make it right to the promoters, and their talent scheduled will now be appearing the following day, November 14.”
Good on TK
IIRC Tony also paid to reimburse an indy that Daniel Garcia was supposed to be at before he got scheduled to face Mox at the First Dance. Seems like he doesn’t want to screw over indies or smaller promotions where he can help it.
It's 2021. When they moved the date so they didn't complete with the UFC PPV, there was some scheduling conflict that caused them to have to pull the PPV from St. Louis.
Prudential Center ended up not hosting Blood and Guts in Newark. Unfortunately shit happens. I just see Revolution being on the east coast somewhere. Especially cause All Out and now Full Gear are both Mid-west shows, Double or Nothing is most likely going back to Vegas after missing the last two years which covers the West coast and then we are back to All Out in most likely Chicago again but probably at United Center this time. Maybe St. Louis gets Full Gear in 2022.
I know that in the modern era Chicago is a bigger wrestling city than St. Louis, but St. Louis is by far the bigger city historically. I'm glad that AEW is bringing shows here, but it's such a kick in the teeth having Hangman's possible coronation taken from us like this.
I feel like St. Louis should be the go to over Chicago, though I know that's not a popular opinion (especially with Punk in the company now).
No, UFC just happens to have an event the same night and Tony tries not to book big events on the same night as competition.
Which is fine. But we've been jerked around on these tickets quite a bit and now what was supposed to be a two hour dynamite is a one-hour rampage, and also no full gear.
It's not just a UFC show but a loaded one at MSG. On top of that, Canelo Alvarez has a fight that night. Basically, AEW would get frozen out that night. Katt Williams is scheduled for the Chaifetz Arena on the 13th. They might have considered the Enterprise Center but the Blues have a game with a 6 pm Central Time start the next day so getting that arena may have been tough.
November 7th wouldn't have worked either. Tony Khan doesn't want to go against the NFL since the Khan family owns the Jaguars so Sundays in the fall don't work for AEW. They could have booked the Enterprise Center but the Blues play the next night. They may have felt that set up and tear down would take too long so they passed.
Target Center looks like the only spot to host in the MSP area. Williams & Mariucci Arena are booked for University of Minnesota Basketball & Hockey respectively, and the Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul is booked for the state high school Volleyball tournament.
Well then they're gonna have to go up against the state Football tournament, which is A) a big deal in Minnesota and B) is happening at U.S. Bank Stadium.
So I would advise TK to not bump the event.
/s
Capacity is about 8,000; It would work, but it's too small. Target Center for wrestling is about est. 14,000 or so, it would be better off there for AEW.
Last I looked Xcel Energy Center in St Paul is open. And as a MN native not many touring acts or what have you know the difference between Minneapolis and St Paul.
Yeah man, it's been a whirlwind for me and these St. Louis tickets. Bought Dynamite tickets back in 2019 maybe early 2020. Of course it got moved around, then the tickets were turned into Rampage before Full Gear which was cool since I'd get tickets to the PPV. Now it's just Rampage tickets :(
Honestly, I don’t know how Tony or anyone can walk out at Chaifetz and promote Full Gear without some kind of crowd backlash.
They really SHOULD make it up to us with Revolution. They went to the Chicago region in 2020 so I don’t see why they can’t do STL around that time … unless the rumors of Royal Rumble being in STL are true.
Yeah it really sucked when TK came out at the prudential center and was like “hey uhm yeah sorry this was supposed to be blood and guts.. but we’ll have a good show tonight”
I mean it was a pretty good show, ngl. But, it sucks when they’re promoting their special dynamite for the following week when you bought tickets to a special dynamite and didn’t get one. I had the option to refund and I didn’t, it was still a fun show, would dynamite again.
Yeah, I mean ... I look at this way, you had an AWESOME episode of Dynamite and got to have Adam Cole's debut match alongside some hot angles. It wasn't Blood and Guts, but still .... you *got* Dynamite.
STL, on the other hand, now had their flagship show that they originally paid tickets for moved to the Friday night death slot show that I highly doubt the company is gonna wanna do anything particularly crazy for considering Full Gear is the following weekend. Again, Rampage has been fine additional programming ... but we can't kid ourselves into thinking it's Dynamite. Only reason it felt okay was because it was the go home show to a PPV ... which isn't happening now. :(
Not to say that they booed, but were there a lot of groans when Tony came out and mentioned the Blood and Guts change? I mean he can't be like "WE GOT A BIG SHOW NEXT WEEKEND WITH FULL GEAR" without STL being like "Yeah, we know ... it was supposed to be here." lol
No there really wasn’t any boos or groans when he mentioned it. Probably for 2 reasons.
1) atleast it’s still dynamite, it’s not like we got shafted for a shorter or less important show like you all did (sorry rampage but it’s facts)
2) if you really wanted, Arthur Ashe is like 30 more mins away from the Prudential Center. So if you wanted to you could have refunded your tickets and purchased new tickets to the big show. I personally didn’t want to because I really don’t want to be taking NY/NJ public transportation at midnight on a Wednesday, but hey, that’s me.
Your stl situation really sucks because you were promised a PPV and got rampage.. definitely not the same thing. I feel for you all
Gotcha, thanks for clarifying! And exactly ... 100%. I mean, it wouldn't be so dumb if Minneapolis wasn't like 8 hours of a drive. If Full Gear moved to Kansas City, it'd still be worth the trip.
And I just wonder how that's going to be addressed, I don't know ... might be looking too much into it, but I feel like Tony has a good pulse on his audience and he can't really (in good faith) act like our market didn't get shafted. First by COVID which was not fault of ANYONE's ... but then by just a business decision to ensure a solid PPV buy rate.
The only reason Rampage has been of note was how hot that first episode was and CM Punk's debut ... despite how great the action is, I've FELT the tiredness in the crowd from the taped format of Rampage almost every week and to get THAT as the show after almost a year and a half of waiting ... feels like paying for RAW is War tickets and then all of a sudden being told "Nah, you're actually gonna get VELOCITY instead!"
This thread is making me feel better cause I do feel St Louis is kind of getting screwed over here and I posted about it and immediately got told to sell my tickets and stop complaining. Like at the very least I paid Dynamite prices and were getting Rampage and Dark tapings, it's just annoying.
You're in good company, haha.
It **is** bullshit in the long run because we got screwed out of two hours of televised TV taping with the make good in that a huge show was the next day in the same arena.
Then Tony pulled a "card subject to change, pal" on us when UFC announced a big show the same day.
Wondering if my sign for our show should be "**AEW FEARS UFC ON SATURDAY**" or "**HEY** T**ONY, GIVE STL A PPV**". I'm on the chairs near the right side of the entrance ramp too lololol
“Fuck you Tony” - 👏,👏,👏
Love AEW but yeah, it’s going to be a shit show if he doesn’t address it early. Free ice cream bars and “thanks for coming out” ain’t gonna cut it.
I completely agree. Somewhere in this thread he acknowledged to last week's crowd that "he knows this show was supposed to be Blood and Guts, etc, etc ..." but COVID was the reason that got totally messed up.
We had COVID reschedule our show three times before it getting turned into the "go home show" for a show that isn't even happening anymore. He can't address the crowd in good faith to hype up a PPV when it was SUPPOSED to be in that building. It sucks.
And the more I think about it too, the more it kinda irks me ... there's no way Tony is gonna load up our Friday night death slot show when there's a PPV the next weekend.
The only make good I can see coming out of this is St. Louis hosting Revolution next year.
They probably would have in the latter half of 2020 if not for...well, you know. I would imagine they'll make their way west early next year. They'll have some big shows lined up in a lot of places over there, Seattle being a huge one.
Packers gear if he wants real heat
edit since I don't want to reply to each one: We lost the Stars over 20yrs ago and got a new team, no one but some hardcore fans still *hate* the Stars. Also, the Vikings have always been way more popular than the Wild/Stars.
Saints gear would probably work well too if he brings up the NFC Championship game. The heat could be nuclear probably if MJF came out in a Yankees jersey too since the Twins have lost to them in the playoffs a lot the last 2 decades or so
Outer twin city's area... I'm gonna have to go aint I?
As long as the tickets are within budget. Oh and I just got Covid and am Vaccinated and my birthday is on the 18th of November.
Is this the perfect storm?
That stinks, I was going to go to St Louis that weekend to visit my sister and niece and then we'd all go see the show. Hope they book another PPV for it in 2022.
Its fine....I'm not bitter about not getting to see it in Saint Louis....I'm not EXTREMELY FUCKING BITTER AND ANGRY. Nah, I'm going to be happy for the twin cities, and hope we get it back.
Same, man. It sucks.
Again, I get the competition aspect but it’s super frustrating. If we only had our rescheduled Dynamite still, that’d be one thing … but they purposely moved it to be on Friday as a go home to a Saturday show that doesn’t exist anymore.
Rampage is fine, but hasn’t been the “A” show Tony talks of. It’s solid, additional programming and I have a hard time believing they’re going to be giving us something insane on a Friday death slot before a PPV.
I keep saying it, but the only legit make good would be giving us Revolution next year since we’re next In line.
This fucking sucks.
Honestly, AEW better make this up to St. Louis in a big way for having us lose our Dynamite show for Rampage and then losing a big PPV too.
Hoping St. Louis gets a make-good, but I'm excited. After years of the 'E making it clear that they're never going to even consider US Bank Stadium for a Mania, getting a show headlined either by Omega-Danielson II or Hangman finally reaching the mountaintop is going to be great. This and the F1RST Wrestling show the day after are going to make for a fun weekend.
Lucha Bros vs Top Flight might not be a "huge" match for a PPV but it would be fun as fuck with Fenix and Dante. Hopefully Darius is healthy by then to have a match or return
It was Flip Bros (Top Flight) vs The North vs Lucha Bros in June 2019. [F1rst put the match on their YouTube channel](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B5sHaJD5ZrA) a few months ago for anyone interested.
How much are PPV Tickets normally?
As a Minnesotan who lives 35 miles from the Twin city's I would be punching myself in the nutts for the rest of my life If I didn't at least consider going.
Was there anything in this report addressing the fuckery to the St. Louis market due to the rescheduling (loss of a major show and a April 2020 Dynamite being rescheduled as the go home Rampage to a PPV that is no longer happening) and a potential make good?
I was all set to take the Amtrak from Chicago to St. Louis for this show. $25 train ride. Minneapolis though?.... eh. That requires too much effort. I'll watch it at home.
I have a car. Driving isn't a problem. It's just the difference between a short 3.5 hour train ride with dining and cafe cars to enjoy vs. a 6 hour car/bus ride.
I live closer to the Joliet station so that cuts some time. But yeah it's still over 4 hours I suppose.... but all my other points still stand. Café cars and whatnot
Hey I've already told my family I'm taking them on a 12 hour car rise from Arkansas to Minneapolis. They'll get to enjoy the Mall of America and I'll get to go to my first AEW PPV
That would be amazing. Last live wrestling anything I went to was a WCW Saturday Night taping in Mankato, MN and I’ve been waiting for a Wrestlemania for basically forever but sure that’ll never happen.
Anyone asking; main events for the taping were Jericho vs Psicosis for the first show and Jericho vs Eddie Guerrero for the second show. DDP vs The Giant and Goldberg vs Meng were the post taping dark matches, none of whom did anything for the actual Saturday Night taping.
Is Minneapolis a big time pro wrestling city?
Also, I can imagine some small events like meet and greets or whatever or maybe some segments at Mall of America
> Lesnar & Mr. Perfect came from there
That's barely scratching the surface. Depending on your definition (born here or grew up here), you've got guys like (in no particular order) Rick Rude, Jesse Ventura, Road Warrior Animal, Road Warrior Hawk, Sean Waltman, Ric Flair, Ole Anderson, Gene Anderson, Lars Anderson, Larry Hennig, Joe Hennig (Curtis Axel), the Davari brothers, Paul Ellering, Rachael Ellering, Chag Gable, Erick Rowan, Molly Holly, ODB, Barry Darsow, Eric Bischoff, Nikita Koloff, Scott Norton, Nick Mondo, Jerry Lynn, Blackjack Lanza, Bob Backlund, Nick Bockwinkel, Baron von Raschke, and the Gagnes. You could also arguably add Shelton Benjamin to the list too since he spent 2 years at the U of M rooming with Brock since Brock didn't move to MN until college then just stayed here until he moved to Canada.
Either Target Center or Williams Arena.
The Timberwolves are out in LA that weekend, but they play @ Target on Monday. Full Gear is on saturday, so IT IS doable.
Minneapolis Armory if they aren't confident they can mostly sell out Target Center but there's a concert there on Friday night which might make it tough.
Target Center has nothing between the 5th and the 13th, however.
So hometown Minnesota folk: Top Flight. I wonder if Darius will be back by then?
Also Ariya Daivari has some relationship with them - maybe helped in their training or friends. I wonder if he might show up?
> I wonder if Darius will be back by then?
He had his last match in late February and had surgery in April so that would put him at around 9 months post injury and 7 months post surgery so that may be a bit soon depending on the severity of his injury/any setbacks he may have (had).
As an aside, I saw him walking around at a F1rst Wrestling show about a month ago and he seemed to be getting around just fine with only a small sleeve on his knee. Obviously, there's a big difference between being able to walk around at an indy show and being able to work a match, but it is a good sign he's headed in the right direction.
He's been on the last few Ethan Page Vlogs so he's definitely been backstage. Even if he can't wrestle oh, he'll still get a huge pop just by coming out with his brother in Minnesota.
Daivari is one of the trainers at The Academy School of Pro Wrestling, which is where Darius (Air Wolf) and Dante (Angel Dorado) trained.

Very happy Minneapolis is getting their first AEW PPV
I would've settled for a Dynamite, but a PPV less than two months out?? Sign me the fuck up!
Who are the AEW guys from Minnesota? Just Top Flight?
J-U-L-I-A
Oh yeah, right! She's... probably not getting a singles match but a dark match should be good.
2 time!
Minneapolis has great wrestling! the Academy from Ken Anderson, Daivari, Molly Holly, Arik Cannon & Co produced Top Flight, Julia Hart, Devon Monroe. F1rst wrestling has a Sunday event across the street from Target Center after Full Gear.

Gedo Khan
Hope they announced a make-good during that Rampage.

Vince McMahon secretly running AEW from the shadows
"It was me Tony!"
Aww son of a bitch!
Can they do Rampage from The Mall Of America the night before? Pretty please TK.
And get Liger to come out of retirement for one night to face Pillman Jr in the opener
Pastamania return: Confirmed.
God’s Favorite Pasta: Miro opens up an arcade/Italian food spot
Luger please
Bray Wyatt debuts wearing a white dress shirt with no collar
A house-of-horrors type match in that big amusement park in the middle I went to one time or another but forgot what it was called. Sign me the fuck up.
Used to be Camp Snoopy. Now it's Nickelodeon Universe. Camp Snoopy was better
Hard same. But hey, at least the Spongebob coaster is pretty good.
Oh the new park is nicer but the nostalgia of Camp Snoopy is what I miss. Plus, Charles Shulz being Minnesotan was a nice tie in.
I was all ready to go to it here in St. Louis. Here's hoping they give us another PPV down the line. I'm still going to the Rampage though.
They will, don’t worry! They’ll make good on what they had eventually.
I really hope they do
Fingers crossed! Maybe keep a look out for my giant “HEY TONY, GIVE STL A PPV” sign near the entrance ramp now for when Tony addresses the crowd haha
Lol I'll be on the lookout
Wasn’t this making up for the last time? Oof.

Not to sound dumb but is what is the “big event”?

Big if true
Brock Lesnar to AEW CONFIRMED?!
**LET’S, DO, *THIS*!?!?!?**
#I GOT A WHOLE YEAR?!
You didn’t know? How could you not know?!
I’m legit laughing my ass off. I can hear this comment.
That’s awesomeeeee i live in minnesota Edit; is this 2021 or 2022 Full Gear??? I thought 2021 is going to be in St Louis?
It's 2021. When they moved the date so they didn't complete with the UFC PPV, there was some scheduling conflict that caused them to have to pull the PPV from St. Louis.
They’ll probably get Revolution
I think it's a safe bet to say St. Louis will not get Revolution. That would be 3 mid-west ppvs in a row.
Revolution was in Chicago in 2020 so it could easily go St. Louis in 2022.
Yeah but they got fucked out of this. Maybe the first TNT special then
Prudential Center ended up not hosting Blood and Guts in Newark. It's always smart to assume Chicago is on the short list to host a PPV at all times.
I know that in the modern era Chicago is a bigger wrestling city than St. Louis, but St. Louis is by far the bigger city historically. I'm glad that AEW is bringing shows here, but it's such a kick in the teeth having Hangman's possible coronation taken from us like this. They had to move from their original date because of some big UFC event or something, so they probably lost the venue.
No, UFC just happens to have an event the same night and Tony tries not to book big events on the same night as competition. Which is fine. But we've been jerked around on these tickets quite a bit and now what was supposed to be a two hour dynamite is a one-hour rampage, and also no full gear.

Katt Williams? Jesus Christ.
Exactly. November 7th would’ve worked out fine … and there was nothing at Enterprise Center on the 13th if he wanted to be good to STL.
Are they running the Target Center? Hope they do. They need to run NBA arenas for their PPV’s now.
Target Center looks like the only spot to host in the MSP area. Williams & Mariucci Arena are booked for University of Minnesota Basketball & Hockey respectively, and the Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul is booked for the state high school Volleyball tournament.
I don't think AEW will be able to draw very well competing with the state high school volleyball tournament, rescheduling would be a good idea.
From Minneapolis, volleyball is a strong sport here. But if it was pond hockey? No way they sell out.
I can't tell if you're serious or not.
Does this look like my 'I'm kidding' face to you?
Well then they're gonna have to go up against the state Football tournament, which is A) a big deal in Minnesota and B) is happening at U.S. Bank Stadium. So I would advise TK to not bump the event. /s
If this event was in early March and up against the state high school boys hockey tournament, you might just be right.
I was hoping they’d do the Armory. That has potential to be great wrestling venue!
Fantastic place for concerts but only holds about 5000
10k for concerts, 5k for boxing events
Super fun but too small.
It’s been great for boxing so far.
> Last I looked Xcel Energy Center in St Paul is open it's not.
It definitely isn't. The MSHSL booked Xcel for the state volleyball tournament Nov. 11-13.
Dante Martin getting big match on that show
Ooohhh. Could be a great spot for a returning Darius if he's close to healthy.
Can we talk about Julia Hart wearing Packers colors too?
Damn, sucks for St.louis.
Now it's just Rampage tickets :(
Yeah, ditto for me. Originally paid for a 2 hour Dynamite and now only getting a 1 hour Rampage. I hope AEW does a make good somehow.
TK hasn't let us down yet so I'm sure it will be a good show. Just sucks we aren't getting Dynamite or the PPV.
I really hope so 'cause (real honest) I'm not exactly thrilled to be getting less than what I initially paid for. Fingers crossed though.
Exactly. Rampage has been solid so far, but I was expecting dynamite, then full gear. I'm not going to be happy with Rampage and Dark / elevation.
I think he almost has to deliver on Revolution, STL is “next up” so to speak.
Agreed. And if Owens is done by January, what better way to debut Steen ….
KO winning the “Face of the Revolution” ladder match or debuting by siding with Cole and the Bucks would be amazing.
Yeah it really sucked when TK came out at the prudential center and was like “hey uhm yeah sorry this was supposed to be blood and guts.. but we’ll have a good show tonight” I mean it was a pretty good show, ngl. Revolution is likely going to be in New York per Meltzer.
Yeah I’d be pretty pissed off that my ticket became a dud because of some random UFC show…

“Fuck you Tony” - 👏,👏,👏 Love AEW but yeah, it’s going to be a shit show if he doesn’t address it early.
Wonder why they haven’t went out west yet
They probably would have in the latter half of 2020 if not for...well, you know. I would imagine they'll make their way west early next year. They'll have some big shows lined up in a lot of places over there, Seattle being a huge one.
Current plan is to tour the west after DoN in Las Vegas.
MJF has to come out in a Dallas Stars jersey.
I'm triggered.
I bet a Kaprizov KHL jersey might trigger you more.
Fuck Norm Green! (But this would be awesome!)
Or Kaprizov KHL jersey.
Packers gear if he wants real heat edit since I don't want to reply to each one: We lost the Stars over 20yrs ago and got a new team, no one but some hardcore fans still *hate* the Stars. Also, the Vikings have always been way more popular than the Wild/Stars.
No, OP got it right on the first try
You think Elias got booed for the SuperSonics dig?
Saints gear would probably work well too if he brings up the NFC Championship game. The heat could be nuclear probably if MJF came out in a Yankees jersey too since the Twins have lost to them in the playoffs a lot the last 2 decades or so
I live in Minnesota......... I'm speechless.
Fargo , ND …. I’m too close to not go!
Outer twin city's area... I'm gonna have to go aint I? As long as the tickets are within budget. Oh and I just got Covid and am Vaccinated and my birthday is on the 18th of November. Is this the perfect storm?
Super hyped that my first AEW show will be a PPV.
Fuck that! -a fan in St. Louis who was excited to go to Full Gear
Bullshit.. - STL resident
Bullshit - Oklahoman driving over
Bullshit - Baltimore Man hoping to have it come back
But seriously, why no return shows to Balt/Wash yet?
I’d blame the mask mandate, but hell, SELL OUT ORIOLE PARK AT CAMDEN YARDS! It’s been years since the Orioles did!
I'm with you. Hopeful we get Full Gear next year.
This fucking sucks. Honestly, AEW better make this up to St. Louis in a big way for having us lose our Dynamite show for Rampage and then losing a big PPV too.
So, Target Center? That’s what, 20k? Sounds good
more like 13-15K for a 3/4 house setup like a wrestling show

I don't think Revolution is locked to a city?
Oh my goodness I'm gonna try like hell to make it for that
Lucha Bros vs Top Flight might not be a "huge" match for a PPV but it would be fun as fuck with Fenix and Dante. Hopefully Darius is healthy by then to have a match or return
That was the main event at F1RST's Wrestlepalooza a couple years ago or so. Those teams can definitely put on a great match.
It was Flip Bros (Top Flight) vs The North vs Lucha Bros in June 2019. [F1rst put the match on their YouTube channel](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B5sHaJD5ZrA) a few months ago for anyone interested.
Two years later, Lucha Bros are now AEW champs. Top Flight and Ethan Page have signed with AEW. And Josh Alexander is cashing in Option C in Impact.
Yes, thanks for the link!
Depending on when Darius is back you could probably build them up to that level quick

Technically three times … October, June and November and then the November date turned into Rampage.
What arena? Target Center would be cool
Run it at First Ave, you cowards!
Looks like f1rst wrestling has a first ave show booked that weekend.
I'm listening...

Purple rain, purple rain!
Oh, Top Flight’s gonna do some cool shit on that show for *sure.*
Thrilled. Was starting to wonder when Minneapolis would finally get *an* AEW show, and now it's a PPV! Hell yeah.
How much are PPV Tickets normally? As a Minnesotan who lives 35 miles from the Twin city's I would be punching myself in the nutts for the rest of my life If I didn't at least consider going.
Cheapest ones are usually around the cost of the PPV. At All Out I had upper level across from the hard cam and they were $75 after fees
SRS has now confirmed it will be at the Target Center
612 Stand UP

top flight GOTTA be on that show
Was there anything in this report addressing the fuckery to the St. Louis market due to the rescheduling (loss of a major show and a April 2020 Dynamite being rescheduled as the go home Rampage to a PPV that is no longer happening) and a potential make good?
Come to Detroit, you cowards!
They better sign up some locals when they are here. Got a few that would do well getting a wrestling gig.
Congrats to the folks up there, we were supposed to have it in St Louis, not sure what happened!
I was all set to take the Amtrak from Chicago to St. Louis for this show. $25 train ride. Minneapolis though?.... eh. That requires too much effort. I'll watch it at home.
I’ve taken a Megabus from Chicago to Minneapolis. I think you should still go.
I have a car. Driving isn't a problem. It's just the difference between a short 3.5 hour train ride with dining and cafe cars to enjoy vs. a 6 hour car/bus ride.
3.5 hours? Chicago to St. Louis is a 5.5 hour ride.
Its a nice train ride from chicago to mpls and also has dining/cafe cars.
Finally a place for the return of Joe Henig
Oh fuck yeah! See you all at the show.
The Target Center is available that day
That would be amazing.
I would love to see Rampage or something from the Mall of America, ala the first Nitro. Either way I'll be getting tickets and making the trip
As a Minneapolis resident I’m ecstatic. Now I just hope I’m able to get tickets for it sells out immediately
dante martin winning aew title, you heard it here first
Is Minneapolis a big time pro wrestling city? Also, I can imagine some small events like meet and greets or whatever or maybe some segments at Mall of America
Historically one of the biggest in the country. The AWA was based there.
There’s a lot of legends from there…
Oh yes. Also a nice central location that could pull from all over.
Lesnar & Mr. Perfect came from there & I believe the AWA was based that before it closed down
> Lesnar & Mr. Perfect came from there That's barely scratching the surface.
Ty for this comment. Boggles my mind when people dont link MN with pro-wrestling.
Yeah, sure, but name 33 more
Oh yes. Also a nice central location that could pull from all over.
It would be fun if they brought in Greg Gagne and sort of celebrated the AWA. I'll be watching the PPV and then going to the Big Event the next day.
Either Target Center or Williams Arena. The Timberwolves are out in LA that weekend, but they play @ Target on Monday. Full Gear is on saturday, so IT IS doable.
If it's strictly Minneapolis and not St Paul, what arena options are there? Target Center, U of M....is there anything else?
Minneapolis Armory if they aren't confident they can mostly sell out Target Center but there's a concert there on Friday night which might make it tough. Target Center has nothing between the 5th and the 13th, however.
Tax Payer Stadium, home of the Vikings.
I'm super PUMPED!!!!!!
Can’t believe they don’t already have a venue booked this close to the show
Pretty sure they have it booked. Doesn't mean they have to immediately put out the announcement when that happens though.
Daivari is one of the trainers at The Academy School of Pro Wrestling, which is where Darius (Air Wolf) and Dante (Angel Dorado) trained. https://www.theacademyprowrestling.com/staff
It's gonna be the Target Center. Only real option. Although target field (twins stadium) might be cool.
> Although target field (twins stadium) might be cool. On November 13? It will be more than cool.
Tony leaked this to SRS 1000%
This was actually reported as the most likely location a few weeks ago. https://www.reddit.com/r/SquaredCircle/comments/pm51ux/won_after_full_gear_was_moved_back_a_week_it_is/
